I am writing my second review of International Sport Motors. I have used their services about 3 times, although overall I was happy with the end result. There were some aspects of their service that needed to be improved and I let Antonio know. After another car accident and looking around, I decided to go back and give them a second chance. I spoke to Antonio who had responded to my review and assured me that he had spoken to the staff and would personally walk me through the service process. I appreciated his willingness to listen and learn. I was super satisfied with the staff service and will go back to International and recommend them in a heartbeat!! I was glad we could work it out and continue to do business together. Thank you Antonio, Owen and International Team for a great job! Keep up the great work!

After a short vacation our car would not start or take a jump and we had it towed to IMS. Three days later we called consistently for four hours before we actually got through to anyone who could tell us something about our car. Apparently they had addressed it and we’re waiting on us to bug them. It wasn’t until we talk to the owner (who is not very good at customer service himself) did we get a response from the technician who was working on our car. Although the work they did on the car was good and thorough, their lack of response was very unprofessional and they did not need to keep the car for four days to recharge the battery and run a scan.

I use ISM for all major repairs on my VW CC. Although not cheap I trust them to accurately diagnose any problems. They even shared some videos and images which allowed me to clearly see the leaks. They then presented me with a detailed estimate. This is a top repair shop. The entire staff were courteous and friendly and all communications were clear and concise. Highly recommended!

I Was recommended by AAA to bring my car here when it didn’t start. They had my car for three days before they came up with a diagnosis the diagnosis cost $488. The estimate for the fuel pump repair was an additional $1400. Although I appreciate the discount I received on my five day car rental I was able to find a mechanic who would perform the exact same repairs for $300 less and they were able to order the fuel pump in one day instead of the three days that international motorsports would take to order it from the same vendor.! I will say we received professional and polite treatment at this business but he will not be able to return here for repairs.

There were multiple issues with my car that I was aware of, including a leaking head gasket and a problem with swaying at speed. I have a 22 year old Jaguar and my long-time garage closed abruptly and I had no referral from them. I read some reviews and chose ISM with trepidation. I was relieved when I drove into the shop and saw 3 other XK8s of my cars era in for service.I think the most important item they excelled at was their transparency. The repair work was prioritized and the costs clear and understandable. They kept within their estimates and talked me through all of the work that needed to be done, and what work could be left for another time.The car drives like it is brand new. I will most certainly be going back to them when I need future service and recommend them highly to anyone needing European car repairs.

These shop is much more interested in increasing your bill than fixing your car. They drove an initial estimate from $6,500 to $9,500 and failed to fix a fault with lighting. They then handed over the car with electrical work that drained the battery overnight which was not present when I brought the car to them. They then proceeded to charge me to diagnose their own mistake of faulty install of front lights, and even after paying this they handed over the car with lighting fault (they basically claimed the extra diagnosis money to connect lights so it did not drain battery). Please go elsewhere unless you are interested in paying this shop to fix the mistakes they make while fixing your car and then giving back to you unfixed.

Staff servive was ok. But i took my car there 3 times and quality of attention to detail was notgood. One time after my car was repaired i found greasy oil marks on passenger side where staff had put hands and left marks and had to take it back to get cleaned. Second time they rplaced mythey teplaced my front windshild and did not install the finsl screws in properly and had to take it back in. While they did address the issues promptly this should not happened in the first place. Each time i had to make arrangements to take my car in during the pandemic. Also staff at ront drsk did not enot wear their mask over the nose in closed office space.

This place is absolutely fantastic. I took my Jaguar here for some body work after a fender bender and ISM did a phenomenal job with everything from dealing with the insurance company to getting the car ready, looking like new in way less time than I could have expected. The customer service here is really top notch- and thats so important when dealing with the unpleasantness of having car problems, or getting into an accident. This place great!

I cant speak more highly of Antonio and Owen at ISM. I brought my car in twice for some complicated work and diagnostics and they were great to work with. Super responsive and helpful. Its tough dealing with a bunch of repairs or issues but funding a shop that cares and you can trust.. I cant say Ive ever found that until now.

9/1 Update: Gunther and his team at iSM have once again exceed all expectations. These guys are great! I cant stress how important it is to have a trustworthy car shop to go to...especially when you own an Italian car. These guys look out for the CUSTOMER...not their wallets - which is the way all car shops should be. DO NOT take your car to the dealer - take it to iSM. Not only will you get a better level of service, but they will not nickel and dime you like a dealer will. Kudos to Gunther and the rest of the iSM team for continuing to exceed my expectations.Ive been in and out of every type of auto shop, and I can say with confidence that iSM was the best experience Ive ever had with any auto shop...ever. These guys have YOUR wallet and car in mind when they do their work. They are not there to nickel and dime you, and they are EXTREAMLY transparent with the inspections and work needed. You can view your cars inspection, work, and options all through a super easy to use app. I came in for a simple brake pad replacement, but they were able to show me why it would be beneficial to change rotors too - and most importantly, they gave me no pressure on the rotors...the images and data they took of the rotors made it clear they needed a swap. Took my car for a check-up since I just bought. The mechanic told me that it needed a water pump since it was leaking under pressure. Received the car back three weeks later. Drove the car to Morgan Hill the from there drove it to Antioch had no problem with the car and it ran beautifully. I still have few other things that need to be worked on which I will take it back to them.

These guys do good work and are honest. I was quoted for 2 parts and it turned out it only needed 1 so I ended up paying less than originally quoted. They do charge more for labor than other shops but its worth the cost.

I love this place. I have an old classic Mercedes that not everyone can work on properly. The shop is immaculate and more importantly the work is always perfect and on time. The owner is wonderful. Whats not to like?

Wills auto body is fantastic. While on vacation, someone backed into my Honda CR-V and of course, failed to leave behind their contact info. This left a long scratch as well as a quarter-sized dent on my hood that quickly rusted over. 2 days with Wills auto body, I cant even tell where the dent used to be.

Brought my car in for a last-minute repair. The staff is incredibly helpful, and will explain everything to you. They complete their work quickly but do not cut-corners. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of work. And above all else, theyre honest with the amount of work and do not try and push you for unnecessary repairs.

Speedy service, I received the quote within a couple hours. Staff is polite (I am quite surprised tbh based on my past auto repair experience), extremely friendly and helpful.

I have worked for International Sport Motors for the past five years and have had nothing but great experiences working with Giovanni and Antonio. They run an honest shop and always are courteous and fun to work with. The shop always goes above and beyond the call of duty with customers and their vehicles, never cutting corners on quality. Its a pleasure working there and I would recommend the shop to anyone.

I am behind in posting this, but cannot speak highly enough of ISM. I have brought two different cars to ISM for body/paint work and recently consulted with them on undercarriage issues (which were, thankfully, only cosmetic). The ISM team is always professional, helpful, and knowledgeable, and the quality of their work is absolutely exceptional. I am neurotic about taking care of my car (and pretty much everything else, as well haha :) ), and ISM is the only company I will trust with my car - thank you, ISM team!

I am so grateful that International Sport Motors exists! Thanks to them, my 2001 Audi A6 is still functioning and in beautiful condition, which would absolutely not have been the case if Id gone elsewhere. After a cross country drive and two break-ins, my car is actually in great shape thanks to ISMs awesome team. They only employ expert technicians, and everyone there is friendly, honest, and quick to respond to all of my old cars issues. I cant recommend them more highly!

Have taken my care here twice, both times for tire mounting and alignment. First time was fine, but second time they tried to tell me that I needed parts that I already had. For my money, Ill be taking my car elsewhere in the future.

The seat in my 2002 Jaguar convertible would not move. I took it to the Jag dealership and they said the problem was the motor and the parts to fix it were no longer made. Someone recommended International Sport Motors to me. I called and was impressed with the knowledgeable and friendly person I spoke with. I took the car in and learned that the problem was a fuse that could easily be replaced. International Sport Motors is not in business to rip you off. You can trust them. I will never go to the Jag dealership again. International Sport Motors will be my go-to place from now on.

Theyre just trying to scam you like most of these repair shops out here. It is truly unfortunate that their is not one honest garage out here. These guys trying charging me 350$ for an oil change when I didnt even ask them to do in an oil change when diagnosing my car.

This is the most incompetent and dishonest repair shop I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.My car was brought into International Sport Motors due to not starting and having multiple electrical fault codes. After being assured the car was completely fixed and thoroughly tested, I was given back the car running, idling unevenly. I drove 10 miles and check engine light and fault codes reappeared. After driving home and parking, of course it did not start again.I am still fighting for a refund.

The staff at ISM is professional and honest. I normally go to the local dealership to get my Audi serviced, but after one appointment here, now plan to always bring my car to ISM. Their service is quick and very complete.

I have used this shop for the past 11 years (two Volkswagens, and one Infiniti), and not only are they the best at what they do, they are among the most honest and reliable folk out there. Any person who has dealt with Giovanni will attest to the fact. The people who have been patronizing this shop have been coming back for decades, because of their reputation.To anyone out there looking for a place that would give them solid customer service, without any of the upsell you are used to seeing elsewhere, talk to Giovanni. And after you have had a chance to, make up your own mind.

I was very pleased with ISMs work on my Mini Countryman. It was not easy to obtain the required BMW part (a new thermistat) but ISM was able to get the part and do the work faster than I expected with a very level of courtesy (great communication skills there). I will definitely bring my car back to ISM.

Just called to schedule an appointment and the receptionist said that shed have someone get back with me. When I asked her if it would be soon, later today, or next week, she said that she couldnt say. When I told her that I needed my car repaired rather urgently and asked her if I should call another provider she said that she wasnt sure.

Really great place! I had my car breakdown in SOMA, and they were so helpful and squeezed me in that same day. Gelina, the service rep, was absolutely amazing! She explained everything that needed to be done, in great detail in a way I could understand, even when I was so stressed about repairs! She was also proactive calling me, and took her time going through repairs that may be in the pipeline in the future. The repairs themselves were thorough and fast. I only gave 4 stars because Im not sure if Gelina is there anymore, and she really made the experience worth going back to!

Above and beyond! Giovanni and his team have taken care of my Porsche Boxter incredibly well. I live in the South Bay and have two Porsche mechanics within 5-minute distance and another one about 15-min distance. Still, I rather go all the way to San Francisco and have my car be serviced at ISM.

The fuel problem on my E55 AMG could not be repaired by two MB dealers. The staff at ISM took the time to read a 10 year old bulletin issued be MB about the obscure problem. They replaced the fuel tank and cracked splash bowl and the car is now running perfectly. It changed my mind about buying a $90K Tessla. I would highly recommend their repair service.

My very old Jaguar blew its transmission as I came off 280 into San Francisco. AAA towed it to International Motor Sports. I was very worried about costs for so old a car and the type of service I would receive.It turned out to be one of the best experiences Ive ever had with a repair service. Giovanni was a delight. Ordered up a used transmission to conservie costs, didnt like the first one he received after installing it, so he ordered a second one.Still didn;t like its performnace so he got a specialist to determine what else needed to be done. The car works better than it ever has. I picked it up all shiny new and cleaned and even received a complementary follow up check up. I would highly recommend them to anyone at any time. Honest, Competent and very personable.

I recently had an O2 and crankshaft sensor replaced on my 99 VW Beetle and these folks rock! Ill never go back to the dealership. Thank you ISM!

My SLK 320 quit a few blocks from them so I came in dead cold. Didnt know them at all. The charged me an excessive amount to diagnose and replace the CPS. Fine. They also failed to diagnose a few other minor problems with the car.When I went to get the repaired car, it was parked in back, on the street with the doors un-locked and the hood ajar. Incidentally it had received the worst wash job I have ever seen. When I got home I found the air cleaner in the trunk and a few trim parts MISSING.I have called them 4 times in the last month to track down my parts but NEVER gotten through or received a call back.Dont use them unless you HAVE to like I did.

I needed to find a repair place that knew enough about Mercedes electric problems because my ML320 kept dying in traffic and at red lights. I usually do most of the minor troubleshooting of vehicle systems myself and knew it wasnt the battery, alternator, or starter. I needed it repaired quickly and affordably as I am a grad student and honestly can barely afford to keep up a luxury vehicle but the ML320 has been remarkably problem free.Gelina talked to my roommate on the phone and coordinated getting the car there after it was almost stuck at a garage that was trying to scam people into paying outrageous storage fees.Not knowing when the tow truck would get there, Gelina and Giovanni arranged to stay open late and wait for me and offered a new customer discount. I had called several other luxury repair places and none were able to get my car in until 2-3 days later and needed the car ready for a trip.Before I had even come in, they had narrowed down the problem and I felt very confident they knew what they are doing since luxury electrical can be a nightmare. They even arranged a car to drive me home which was amazing I had all kinds of bags with me and was not looking forward to long walks bart.They called me with a quote first thing in the morning and It was fixed and ready the next afternoon at an affordable rate with discount!I have painting and other minor body issues Im looking to get them to fix soon!Highly recommended and I will be taking my Mercedes ML320 here for almost everything !

Having been in the Wholesale and Retail Used car Business for over 30 plus years,I think I Know a excellent Auto repair and service shop when I see one.I have 3 criterias;reasonably priced,properly equipped with up to date eqiipment to do the job and properly trained and up to date technicians. Recently I had my favored Driver(91 MBZ 420SEL) in for the 170k Service,tire rotation and alignment plus to look at what to do about oil consumption.Today,over a month after the service,the car runs like NEW,and the oil burning;What Oil Burning!And while I was there,I noticed 3 newer cars(04 to 09)Audi,Range Rover and Acura,all in for the same reason.Software Glitch.I didnt know this,but just like computers and smartphones,most cars 10 yrs.old or newer have continuous software updates too.This is no problem while your cars under factory Warranty,after that if you go to most independent dealers with a simple check engine light on,your car might be there a while.Why?,because most dealers dont update their scanners and software.By the way,2 of the 3 cars I mentioned,were from such dealers. These are just a few reasons why I drive from the north bay to SF for service.Also it doesnt hurt that everybody at ISM are Damn good people.Giovanni Palazzo;the Owner has to be the best auto technician ever;Antonio Palazzo collision repair Estimator and Manager;and Office Manager Allison,who manages to keep all theBalls in the Air,get the job done and with a smile. As I say to all my Old Car Dog friends,Whats Not to Like at ISM?!
