You can find most Chinese grocery items here. There is also a meat-seafood section and a large fresh vegetable section. For non Chinese items you can find bread, milk and pasta. And you can even get lottery tickets. The service and prices are just average. Ever since we were encouraged to bring our own shopping bags started, the cashiers now find every opportunity to not bag your groceries. So dont have high expectations shopping here.
I love shopping for my subsisting needs here. They have a wide variety of fresh quality products, ranging from the average household cook to the accomplished gourmet. The prices are fair and reasonable, save the dairy products. . . . this may be due to their vendors and wholesalers.
Great location. They need to change their carts and clean up the fresh food area.
I appreciate the fresh seafood and fresh cuts of meats!!! Would be nice if the Hot food section reopened as well as the bakery.!!!
Has many different items i need and fresh fish cut the way you want, no fillet
I purchased Chinese mustard greens from the market and loved them; although, they need to add more greens to each bunch.
I went to the grocery to get some ingredients on Monday. This store appeals to me because of its extensive selection as well as the high quality of its products! They never cease to astound me with their products and services! I highly recommend this supermarket to all of my families! Because their supermarket is so vast, I wasnt sure where to begin the last time I went inside.
My husband and I stop in to buy dried plums. They also have nice vegetables and fruits.
I go shopping here because Iove their fresh produce selection. Always fresh and the best prices
Lots of Asian food snack in this place. Its the only place i get my Asian snacks and they never run out of my favorites like Chocnut, Vcut, and boy bawang!
Awesome vegan options. Wide variety of groceries. Produce is super affordable. Im happy to support this business!
I took my mother in law so she a few things for dinner parking was good their take out section was close other than that all went well
Are you in the mood for Asian Cuisines? Best place to shop for it .
Ill never go there again, its dirty inside there, most of the meat doesnt look fresh, worst of all that place is likely infested with rats! Saw one running around the section where they sale rice then it ran under one of them freezer sections! Told one of their employees but I dont know if he reported it to his supervisor or manager??👎👎👎👎👎
Super nice, also doing an excellent job working within pandemic conditions. Ive been coming here for ten years, its never been glamorous, but theres an unmistakable charm thats easy to appreciate. Especially noteworthy: their produce is reliably good and usually the cheapest to be found in the city.
I love Pacific Market in South SF but this one is closer. Mostly the same goods, but man, its dilapidated and old looking. Having just visited the newly opened (and not pricier) hmart, visiting this Pacific Super is a bit depressing. I must suggest a facelift.
Lots of Asian canned foods and fresh produce. Good for fish as well.
I called the place to ask something and the person said they have it available. I came to the store in 20 min after I spoke to the manager. When I arrived he said it’s already sold out. That’s a F*^%#> Bull$@&. Sold out in freaking 20 min. Common ..... this is not the first time they did this to me. And I swear I will never ever ever come to this place again. Besides it’s soooo smelly inside. Even though I’m already wearing my face mask i still could smell the foul odor .👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
Bobas / tapioca balls (watch out for cashier will over charge your card!!!)
Love this market for zll the diffrent asian products i only can get here.Alwayse fresh fish and shrimp
Shopping there is okay, but not adequate if youre taking public transport, the bus stations are too far to walk from. Please take a car, or consider taking an Uber/Lyft to the nearest bus, or straight home.
Great place to shop for Asian food including spices & vegetables. They offer fresh and frozen fish. Plus, they have Freshly cooked Chinese food for take out.
Great and nicely price produce. Always clean and with a good selection of Latinx produce that I havent seen anywhere else.
I like Pacific Super Market for my Asian grocery needs. The shopping Carts are too old and wobbly. One of the cart fell on my car and caused damage one time. 😞
Lots of variety. Clean, friendly staff. Some items are more than similar stores, however.
Convenient, newly paved parking lot, authentic Asian products at reasonable price !
A lot cleaner. No fishy smell. So quiet too due yo covid. Prices are pretty good.
I always find everyone to be nice and very courteous. I find the fresh sea good section the best. The international isles as well as fresh vegetables always is fully stocked. I make a visit here at least twice a month and my cart is so full. Happy Customer
This store has asian and phillipines products mostly but mostlikely you will find what you looking for
Love the supermarket. I can find almost anything I want. People are helpful and friendly.
That was very good
Employees very helpful and respectful
I went to Pacific Supermarket last week.
I really enjoyed finding new food choices
I love shopping at Pacific Supermarket. So many choices and always get what you want.
I already sent my comments.
Great varieties, many merchandise, easy to choose. The chicken and meat department worker is friendly, helpful. The fish department on Monday, the 2 workers are not helpful and unfriendly, did not want to communicate, never explain and never answer, I would not recommend any fish purchase at all. The cashiers are friendly and easy going.
Luv this place sm 💙😔
Fully stocked Asian grocery/fishmonger/Deli counter for the Excelsior/Ingleside community.
Decent place but dirty.Great selection of Asian products and better variation than other supermarkets. Not bad
Ive been going here on and off for years. I think they have one also in the city (Sunset District?) Great place to get your Chinese food to go and other Asian food items. Only con is the shopping carts. They need to clean those things and some are just raggedy.
With the hyper awareness of keeping things clean, Pacific super on Alemany is the cleanest Ive ever seen lately. They have everything Im looking for and the other shoppers follow distancing rules. I like it here!
Great place to shop a lot of Asian specialties
Pretty impressed by the amount of Asian stuff here nd the prices are pretty good too.
Nice place. All very chipper)
Pretty good good place to buy some vegetables
Great locale but not the best pricing
Good food and good service
If your searching to buy Filipino foods and groceries this is the place to go to.
Good Asian market
Smells like fish
I go there to get some fresh fish, any kind. Fresh raw meat, also some vegetables and fruits. All the other regular groceries like the bread, can foods, milk ECT. Lil bit prices!.. really need to clean up their carts, or fix it!!..
Store has been a around a long time and always have good selection of asian goods
Pretty dirty place. Most or all the carts are rusted and barely work. The store itself smells. The only good thing is that its somewhat cheap, but I prefer to pay a little more to get better quality stuff. I guess if youre buying packaged stuff its ok, but Id be skeptical to buy any meat or produce.
Love going there every Sunday after The Alemany Flea Market. This store has everything you need. I have never been to a Asian that is so clean with decent prices
The customer service is really really bad, they dont really understand how to explain and how to provide a good customer service. I thought they only speak Cantonese much more better than Chinese or even English. About the vegetables, most of them are not fresh. The meat department smell so stinks. The only one I like to shop in that store thats because the price is cheap.Compare with Manila Oriental Market on 4175 Mission St San Francisco, California 94112. I recommend to everyone who want to buy any kind of Asian stuff could go to this market. They know how to provide a better customer service much more than Pacific Supermarket (2900 Alemany Blvd San Francisco, CA 94112). The price for most of them is cheap. Even some of employee they cant really speak English but at least they could say sorry or smile or try to figure out to solve the problem. Also most of vegetables are fresh, we could find everything (Asian Stuff) we want by that store.Do you guys have any idea or experience shopped from both of these stores? Thank you.
I cant get enough of this place to meet my Chinese grocery needs!
I buy my rice here. Good sized parking lot. Less busy and more run down than Manilla Oriental Market. They have a good selection of Asian market groceries. I think MOM has better meat prices though.
Produce is pretty good: mostly nice and fresh. Bean sprouts could be fresher/whiter. Meats section is mediocre. If youre looking for thin hotpot style meat this isnt the place. The condition of the market isnt the best. Its pretty old, but gets the job done. They also have a BBQ meat section where you can get the usual BBQ pork and other Chinese BBQ items. Its okay quality in a pinch.
Everything fresh
First time there in a while. Still kinda dirty looking. Employees wearing masks, but customers not staying 6ft apart. It felt like the family in line behind me was breathing down my neck. 😷
I live block away and Im never gonna go there again due unprofessional and untrained employee and manager that falsely accuse and treating their costumers for personal matter. This review in unrelated to products and services but for staff unprofessionalism.
I love this place solely because of their fried fish service! Pick your own fish, take it for cleaning, and then take it to the kitchen window for frying. Its great. I wish I had a place like this close to home! Id be eating fish every day!
Not bad
They have a lot of items at the store. I bought fresh fish once and it was amazing. Customer service is different but efficient. Sometimes the smell of seafood is very sour and it pushes me out. But they have all sorts of different meats top choose from as well as pantry items.
This place has great produce at reasonable prices. Its clean too... but every time I go there I feel like I am being monitored a little more as if I am going to steal something. Not a pleasant shopping experience. I have noticed that Asian decent customers get treated with a little more respect, they get priority at the meat counter and are offered to enter a phone number for some reward program they have going on over there... I dont really know much about it because its never been offered to me, I know a little because Ive over heard staff remind Asian customers to enter a phone number.
Refuse to quote prices on the phone because they jack up their prices when you are there to buy their seafood. Very bad customer service skills. No one speaks English and those who do are rude.
Their no bag policy is the worst. I had a slingbag fill to capacity with $3k+ worth of camera gear, and they want me to surrender my bag at the front desk. End up going to Ranch99 instead.
Many goods are not marked with price!
Usually Smells funky, but they have the freshest Asian vegetables. Also it is an Asian market, every aisle has tons of Asian specialty items. Yeah there are many conventional items, eg. TP, maxi pads, milk and beer, but majority of the items are Asian. Their live fish, fresh fish, and frozen fish are abundant. Also they can clean the fish there too. The meat, pork, chicken & frozen sections are decent too. Prices are fair and I like shopping here. It is organized, just bring your own sanitizing wipes cause the carts are dirty af [Thats pretty much the negative.]
Unhealthy, smells bad, shopping cart rusty. Sanitary wise ...below poor level!
Good
Selection is really great, dollar produce bags, NO FRILLS. They have like two songs on the speakers, a Chinese New Year song, or when thats out of season a piano tune. Amazing.Chinese, Filipino, Indonesian, etc.
The parking is free and not too crowded, but the grocery carts were filthy, sticky and just not well kept. The re were plenty of them which is a plus. Inside you cant help but notice the odor. The Southside of building kept were fresh seafood and pork, beef, and poultry. As you walked that way, the odor intensified. The fresh fruits and vegetables located north of building. Saw lots of fresh fruits as well as rotten ones. Not kept very up to date. Didnt stay long. Used to shop here years ago .. My how things have changed. :-(
I love shopping here for produce and Asian products. Being an Islander, we tend to have similar taste buds as our Asian neighbors so I can find anything and everything here. The hot food bar is another plus.
If you want Fresh Fish & Seafood... This is the place! It aint the prettiest but its a Family Run (Super Market). Go! Mom & Pop!
Fast and easy to shop here
Filthy, smelly. Not only that, a lot of the produce they have for sale are moldy. Checked out the habanero peppers they packaged up that already had white mold growing in them, and it was six days old from the date they packaged it. The onions are moldy and black - to say the least. I would say the safest thing would be to only purchase canned food or anything already packaged from reputable companies. I dont know how this supermarket can get away with the smell and unsanitary practices. Even their shopping carts are filthy. I wouldnt dare purchase the hot food they sell at the front at the entrance. They have other locations outside of San Francisco that seem a little bit cleaner. The owners of this established should be embarrassed. How have they not been flagged down by the Department of Public Health. Gross
Great selection of Philippines food. Good selection of fish that the store Fries the product if you ask, no extra charge.
Convenience. Great selections. Easy to find items in the store.
So much stuff, even hot food take out options! Had everything I was looking for to put together an amazing bowl of shaved ice desert.
I love love love Pacific Supermarket! I love how they offer sale prices on their sites, such killer deals. Easy to shop, and delivery is ALWAYS between the window periods! A must try!
Cold, crowded, and for my family, only useful for speciality items. I should be going there more often, as its the closest market, but its drawbacks are many: paucity of fresh vegetables, brand name cleaning products, and dry goods. Great selection of frozen seafood.
Very good place to buy grocery. Lots of Asian food and tea and there is a butcher shop | wet market inside too.
Great place to walk to and grab what I need for dinner. Had all the great trappings for an asian meal. I got pad thai, panang curry ingredients and fresh longanisa. One of the days they were deep cleaning the hot buffet so thats a plus already in my books. Only complaint is they didnt have bean sprouts.
Very good
I always find the best fresh produce & ox-tails. Team of workers always nice & friendly
Best place to get fresh seafood and meat. They also have cooked duck for those who love it.
Been shopping at 2900 Alemany Blvd St Pacific Market for years and never had a problem till today. Bought Magnolia ice cream and after I went home saw expiration date had passed by several months. Returned to Pacific Market with receipt and Manager David Yung refused a refund or exchange. He accused me of replacing an outdated product to gain a replacement. After several minutes of going back and forth he allowed an exchange. Should not be this difficult for a simple exchange with proper documentation.
Kind of disappointed by everything here. 2 stars for having some hard to find Asian goods, but almost everything else was over priced. Not to mention they had a ton of groceries that were molding or about to go bad. It would be forgivable if it was cheaply priced, but charging the same as a mainstream super market... wow! With a lapse in quality, there should be a discount in price. It was surprising.
Some foods are normally priced most are a bit overpriced. They definitely dont want to sell you beer.
Asian products but I just wish they were more clean more professionally
Variety is ok, but prices not much cheaper than others
This whole super market smells like fish. But it is one of the better places to buy a sack of oysters for like 65 bucks and seafood. Their butcher sucks and they dont even sell chicken breast. Their ready to order Chinese food is pretty bad, I had a 3 combination of Mongolian beef, sweet and sour pork and fried rice, it all tasted pretty terrible. If you like those Chinese Panda strawberry cream cookie snacks, or looking for green tea Kit-Kat bars, this is the place to go. But unless you cook a lot of Asian dishes, this place would be lacking for most people.
Sometimes cheap veggies. Often a wide variety of pan-asian foodstuffs. Doesnt smell of seafood like Sunset Super
I like coming here for nonperishable asian snacks but I would avoid the meat and fish. The store just radiates a weird smell that could only be from years of subpar cleaning in the butchering area. It has a weird stale smell...
