Was excited to visit this place. I adore all kinds of Asian jars and vases. Found one I really like. Got this treasure for only $25. Will definitely return. Just one thing: call before visiting. Because there was a notice on the front door about appointments required.

Yesterday was my birthday and I wanted to celebrate by going antiquing in San Francisco. I came across this GORGEOUS antique store that was run by the sweetest woman you will ever meet. She keeps her store so organized and orderly. 10/10 will be coming back!

Have been shopping here since the 1980s. I buy all my Limoges Boxes here. There are literally hundreds to choose from, all from the best studios in Limoges, France, and at least half the price that online and other stores charge. Phyllis is so friendly and helpful. I would not shop anywhere else.

Great store, amazing large collection of highly organized interesting items of many types, great prices, friendly knowledgeable owner, very fun experience. One of San Franciscos rare, owner operated, most unique stores that makes the city distinct, colorful, and fascinating.

Amazing store with treasures from around the world! My wife lost her wedding and engagement rings and we found one here from Turkey which we both loved! Store has been here since the 70s. Lots of history and ask to see the pictures after the earthquake. If you want something unique that no one else will have from somewhere around the world, come here. We will definitely be back.

I have been going to this amazing store off and on for over 10 years. I go when I need a treasure, something I’d never find ever again or anywhere, for someone very special in my life. Go in, take a deep clearing breath, forget the outside world, and let the search begin - no other gifts, no matter how expensive, have ever shown the person that I am buying for, that I know her really well. Whatever you buy there becomes a personal item. It’s fantastic and I hope this store goes on forever! Also, chatting with the owner is amazing. She is a guide and a guru, and I truly enjoy spending time talking with her about anything at all.

This little shop is amazing! Its been in SF for many years, but never knew about it until a week or so ago. Loads of interesting/unique items (especially if youre a Bakelite collector-bangles and pins anyways). Phyllis is a very nice and interesting person to talk to; it was a joy meeting her (and Im happy with my purchases as well)!

I founded the store in 1976. I always wanted to make a store that I wanted to shop in, friendly, fun, affordable, packed with interesting, unique items. This store is my passion, my fun place to go to and be in. I love the wonderful items that have passed through the store, love making the displays and being surrounded by beauty, but most of all, I love the people that come into the store. I have met so many amazing people, many that have turned into long time friends as I have been in the store over 40 years. Thank you to all the great customers and friends.

This shop is a unique find and not to be missed. There is really something for everyone! I found two music boxes. Also, it’s worth stopping in to talk with Phyllis, who is the owner and a really wonderful person.

I love antique stores; my specialty is costume jewelry. I have never seen such an amazing and large collection of bakelite. However my experinced was due to Phyllis personality and kindness. I HAVE never such an interesting an amazing woman, she has a heart of gold and stories that will put a big smile on anyones face despite the day they are having. I highly recomend going to Gas-Light Antiques, it is truely San Franciscos hidden treasure and Phyllis a beautiful gem.
