The owners of the store are always very nice to me when I come in, even amidst all of the chaos that typically goes on in and around this store. They have a surprisingly awesome sock selection and are one of the only places downtown that is open late night these days.

Love this store!!!...They always have what Im needing & plus a little bit of everything else too!!!...Wide variety of items from dish soap & shower caps to sheets/blankets & clothing...some items are very unique & hard to find so stopping in to see whats new in the store is always surprising...staff is always attentive, helpful, prompt & polite..

The best dollar store in San Diego. You can get anything in here. Hookah tabacoo and coals and souvenirs!

One of the few places downtown where you can find decent prices on a little bit of everything. The owner and his wife are really nice people too.

This shop is close by. I frequently walk-in looking for a wide-variety of items: a clip board, birthday candles, scotch tape, dust pan, pliers, a mop, cool drink etc. I’ve been pleasantly surprised that they (almost) always have the item I’m looking for at a very reasonable price. Both the day shift and night-shift teams are friendly pleasant people.

(This store was named - V Outlet, in the past.)No open hours posted.Store often stays open late at night (sometimes well past midnight), especially on Fridays & Saturdays. Closing time seems to vary, sometimes open until about 2-3am. As if depends on whether any staff available to stay open later. I recommend not rely on them staying open very late, but if you are nearby you can check (since very few similar nesrby stores are open as late).They are like a small dollar & department type store, with a great variety of items. Late at night, very few other nearby stores are open with many of the same types of items this store has (except grocery store & convenience stores like 7-11).Discount or low prices on most stock. Few popular or well known brands (at least in USA), has many less commonly known brands or sources (again, in USA). Up to you to evaluate if you are willing to try or trust the unknown brands or product sources. Read labels & research if you want; CA law applies & so some items do include required warning labels (like any items in stores with known warnings).

Family business,Really friendly and Honest. I have always gotten my dollars worth. Every dollar is well spent at this store.Keep up the good business .

These guys are thieves. The cashier overcharged me about $8. I made him give me an itemized list after because the price seemed high, even though this is the most expensive dollar store you’ll ever go to. A lot of the prices are the same price that you would get at a regular store. The dollar stores in Pacific Beach are much much better, cheaper, and better stocked. Lots of homeless people of course as well. Make sure you grab hand sanitizer on the way out. I will never go to this dollar store ever again. Didn’t even have pocket dividers and the binders that they had were too small for any regular size paper.

OK, let us be fair to the 3 brothers who bought the business 2 years ago, and put their heart and soul and endless hours of work. It,s 99 cent store and headshop with very specific hard to find items. They are friendly, and they are honest, I got to know them well the last 2 years. Please all the reviews before 2 years ago must be removed and you will see a place with 4.8 rating. Go there check it out, I am sure you are going to find things to buy.

In my opinion this is the best store in downtown San Diego!! Always very friendly and will help anyone when they can. I think they are awesome its the closest thing Ive found to a bodega on the west coast!!

Thai place is the best its like a mini Walmart it has anything an everything from food to tools to school supplys cloths u name it. My favorite store !!!!

You might want to change the time you close if youre not going to stay open till the time posted especially when someone like myself has to walk from the other end of town makes it there 15 till 1am to find it closed already thats very misleading and irritating
