I had a wonderful experience with this shop, so Id like to give back to the owner. I arranged to buy a 9 surfboard he had in the shop (on his day off) and he patiently waited for me while I was late coming from another city. He also gave me a wonderful discount on the board. He carried the board out to me and was incredibly kind and encouraging considering that I just began learning to surf. If I find myself in Ocean Beach again, I will definitely be back here!

Soooo, today I needed a baby gift for my besties daughters zoom baby shower this coming Sunday. I realized that the gifts I had hoped to finish making were not going to be done and sent in time. I did a little search of baby stores near her home and found Surfer baby & Better Surf Than Sorry, and I saw that they delivered locally. I spoke with Alan, and I ended up purchasing some really cute baby items. Alan delivered the items, but there was a snafu or two in getting the gifts to the recipient. No matter! He persevered and made sure she received them. Way to go, Alan! Did I mention that I live in NJ, so the whole time Im just hoping it all works out. Well, of course it worked out. Because Alan is da 💣, and he made it happen! Thank you, Alan! 5 stars!!!

Hidden gem of OB. Walked in looking for a gift for my nephew, ended up also getting my girlfriend a cool license plate frame and a Better Surf Than Sorry sweater for myself. Turns out they also do gear rentals!

Amazing surf shop and company in general. They have some really cool items - our favorite are the paw print deck pads. We highly recommend getting them if you have a slick surface on the top of your stand-up paddleboard!
