My Wife, Son and I went into Gum Saan over the weekend on 6/19/2021. This little store is special and I’ve been going to Old Town since a Kid. I’m 39 now taking my kids there. The two gentlemen running the store were so pleasant to talk to. The one gentleman in particular’s energy was infectious. He was so nice and vibrant. He had nice clean cut hair combed to one side with a part line. I hope he reads this. We are from Phoenix,Arizona and I have been coming to San Diego my whole Life. Old Town holds a special place in my heart, but this little store even more so. Thank you for the beautiful interaction, and wonderful visit. I wish We would’ve got your name. I have a very unpleasant experience today (9/2/21) in this store, although this used to be a place I liked. I and my friend met the most irrational and rude saleswoman. She, according to her, had displayed the price incorrectly - 10 instead of 12 for some trinkets. The salesperson commented that it is her store and she is allowed to ask any price. We agreed that she can do that and also refuse to serve clients, but that she should honor the price displayed. It was a matter of principle, and we were amused, certainly not really arguing although she accused us of being aggressive to her (!?!). My friend accepted the price, since it didnt really matter, the sales person, too gave in and said that she would give her the price she wanted (No, not what I want, but what you have on display, she said). After paying and as she was preparing to walk out the sales person said, I should throw you out, now that you paid ...

Love love love this place! The most beautiful items. What I love the most is the gem bracelets are made and labeled for various energy needs. Everything else is unique and beautiful! Great place to buy gifts for friends or family and most of all for yourself!

Loved this little store. We purchased 8 bracelets and a few other items and we love them. They have really beautiful and unique items. The owner was extremely kind and he told us all the bracelets are made by women in Nepal. hired by him directly. 5/5

I love this store SO much! The items are beautiful, meaningful, and crafted in the countries they represent. I think my husband was ready to throw himself on the ground because I just couldn’t get enough of it! I was in there forever. My children loved it too. I will be back many times, and snagged an awesome bracelet for myself and one for my friend. The younger woman who works in there is amazing, and I really enjoyed our conversation. I highly encourage visiting and leaving your change for donation at the Buddha! Thank you Gum Saan for such a great store and fantastic prices.

Fabulous shop in the Old Town State park! Helpful Casey will help you with whatever you may need! Many items to choose from. Items come from exotic countries, so do yourself a favor and check it out! While there, be sure to see all the shops surrounding the beautiful State Park! There are donkeys ( real, live ones!) You can visit with them and their braying is fun to hear!

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My family and I go there a lot.

I came here as a tourist, but I loved how surprisingly AUTHENTIC it is. The owner himself is there to discuss with you the spiritual meaning/application of all the symbols and items in the store; travels to Eastern cultures himself to retrieve the goods; very knowledgeable. When I was browsing around, its obvious the items are true quality pieces, not just some factory-made souvenir junk. It was a very interesting shopping experience, and Im very happy with what I bought at a fair price. My prayer flags are now hanging in my new home.

Terrible customer service!!! I would give zero starts if possible we drove from an hour away to get an item that my mom had seen the day before. We arrived at 5:45 and by 5:50 they had kicked us out of the shop because they wanted to close early.
