Really helpful staff! Young man went to look in the back multiple times to see what they had. When he couldnt find what we were looking for, he actually found something else and made a recommendation. Perfect recommendation, even better than what we wanted. Prices were reasonable and the variety of sports and recreational activities is always impressive. Every time I go here I find what I am looking for, and staff is courteous, professional and helpful. Hard to beat.

Great deal amazing products to choose from.

I bought a pair of Coleman steele toe work boots and after 6 weeks they separated from the heal of the sole and boot. They replaced they with no problems. Just remember to save the shoe box just in case this happens. Friendly and kid service. Really appreciated it since I had never experienced that with a work boot. Very comfortable boot by the way. Thank you Big 5 for the great experience. Always friendly staff and experience.

I been coming to this store since I was a kid with my dad and I always enjoyed it. But now coming here as an adult I did not the like the vibe I got from the employees and the manager too. I understand these are low paying jobs but you have to make the best out of it and make people feel like there welcome and be thankful to customers supporting your small business as back in the 90”s this was the spot and no is longer the Big guy anymore.

Fine. Usually find what I need. Staff, npt always friendly, but I was pleased today by person who assisted me with shoes. I understand there are COVID considerations, but having only one of two registers accepting credit cards, it keeps customers in the store longer, so...

I wish they had more selection in camping gear, but its the off season, so I get it.

But now in these days, where people have a little more time, ( may this be a positive or unfortunately negative disposition for some of us not being able to work), we tend to find our tranquility and peace by going back to nature.May this be with friends or family, or both; Big 5 Sporting Goods is always there to assist you in making old long forgotten, or new experiences a pleasant one. Tents, hammocks, light, waterproof, steardy clothing is often essential to ones successful experience with the outdoors. Not to mention fun!They have been heavyly visited in the past few months, ant tend to run low at times on certain items such as camping equipment and hunting needs, firearms, air riffles, sleeping bags. But they replenish very quickly Ive noticed, being a frequent shopper now.Of course you can always call one of their locations, as I did with the San Bruno location, so you know if an item is available. Also their website can be helpful.They are always friendly and informative!!! And also have great sales going on, with up to 50% off on wonderful items!!! I bought a 4 man tent, a sleeping bag, and a backpack for $100,- Dollars after tax! What a deal!Really, check it out! They are open till 8:00PMLove you guys!!!

Cheaper than done other stores with a fairly good selection across multiple domains -- sports, workouts, camping, fishing gear. Affordable shoe selection.

Talk about a place where you cant find enough of just about any sport you can imagine, combined with pretty sloppy attention. Highly recommend you drive a bit further and get your sports gear elsewhere.

Its my sons first venture in fishing. I took him to Big 5 El Camino Real San Bruno to get his gears. This cheerful Filipino guy approached us and asked if we needed help. He probably sensed our lack of direction & came to our rescue. He asked for the fishing site & instantly knew what type of fish were likely to catch. He picked the pole, sinkers, swivel, halibut rig, mackerel rigs and bells. He gave detailed tutorial on how set up the pole & how to put the bait. To my sons delight, our fishing pole was set up & ready for fishing upon leaving the store! He was extremely helpful and readily shared his knowledge to clueless-in-fishing like us. I will definitely go back to this store again & ask for help from the fishing angel, Manolo (Manong)!!!

Smallest Big5 Ive ever seen. Strange because the building looks alot bigger than actual sq footage. The people that work here are cool and helpful though.

Not always easy to find sale items either from lack of inventory or disorganization. Employees appear to be always busy (maybe some understaffing going on)? OK if you can find items youre looking for and/or if employee actually assisted you.Hi

Exactly what you should expect from a retail location like Big5. Good deals on the shoes I wanted, very overstocked store (I literally had to move boxes to the side to get down the isles), and good customer service that gets the job done but would benefit from the company investing more in their employees.

The curb at this parking lot is steep so be careful not to scrape your car

Always stocked with the items that are advertised. The store always seems organized. Lots of safe parking. The store is accessible from El Camino, San Bruno Ave, and Hwy. 380.
