This is one of the few surviving retail stores in downtown San Bernardino. It is packed with all your sporting goods needs. The people working here are friendly and they are knowledgeable about the the very things they sell. So if you need a tent or a pair of walking shoes, give Big 5 downtown a try.

Got a tent for 40 bucks now I got a little shelter towards the end of my very own first road trip from California to Texas

I went looking for an item I got a saving coupon for and it turns out they did not even carry the item in question. A total waste of time.

Very reasonable prices, good place to start if youre getting into a sport and you dont want to spend a lot of money. Large variety of shoes at good prices. Workers are very helpful and friendly.

I use to love this place could get what I needed know I have to order for most of my sports and exercise equipment so l can go on line anywhere and with shipping and handling get it cheaper I went to Big 5 so l didnt have to pay for shipping and handling

They always have a cashier greeting everyone but for some reason the handful of people that do work there try to avoid you. It shouldn’t be hard for the 4 people working to take care of providing customer service. These people just need to have a designated area they handle and it would be more pleasant. They act irritated when you ask to try on shoes....why come to work only to socialize? Stay home.

Big 5 is my favorite sporting goods store to shop at!! They have great options and have the most variety of goods!

Well no one asked if I needed help. I asked someone for women steel toe shoes and do help.

The only reason I like it was because I found what I was looking for which was an Olympic Curl bar but I couldnt find 25Ibs plates and it was the same thing in the one in riverside there all out of stock almost every where mainly due the Pandemic the Corona Virius so just order online !

Ok place has a lot of useful stuff for outdoors.also looked at the firearms there. And the guy helping you there acts like your wasting his time acts very rude not inviting at all havent been back since.

Everyday they have a sales on different types of things. I got a backpack and the regular price is $50 but I got it for $39 and its a special opps backpack really nice and its water proof. Must go and check it out and its the best place to buy a tent and sleeping bag.

Usually I will have a pleasant shopping day but it seems things were not as normal ( staff was not there }cashier was engaging in a private conversation during my. Checkout translation an One of the staff was coughing her lungs out on the next stock room.During this global pandemic things are not normal but service an safety should always be there an I felt unsave an anwanted at the time of my service.

They didnt have a good selection i went looking for some new tennis shoes. The mens have a much bigger Choice than the womens and they had a bunch of clearance shoes and there was none for the women Thisstore is on E Street. I get coupons in my email and I was like well Ill go and see and Ill use it but there was nothing even worth buying

The thing about big 5 is u have to find the long time associates who know the store. Once u find them the experience is quite nice. Salesman was very knowledgeable on rail system..

I was about to spend over 80 bucks on shoes and shin guards alone. The amazing young lady at the register quickly told me about a package special they had going on and I walked out with a ball shoes and shin guards for 40 bucks plus tax... had I gone to any other store they would have kept that to themselves amazing customer service God bless that young lady

Very great experience, great customer service! Mike was a huge help and even tho it was a bit busy due to everyone doing last minute Christmas shopping they managed to stay on top of everything. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for sporting goods. Merry Christmas everyone!

3 employees standing around chatting. No customers in the store. After 2 or 3 minutes of waiting for service to get a can of Bear Spray I went and interrupted there little conversation politely to be met with attitude. Only reason why I didnt walk out was because Turners Sporting Goods didnt have what I needed. Next time I will drive out to Bass Pro Shop.

Big 5 is one of my favorite stores since I was a kid but this Big 5 makes me feel like a criminal as soon as I walk in I feel the bad vibes, theres a doorman that as soon as you walk in shes asking you if you need help if theres anything in particular youre looking for, I answered absolutely Im here for the shoe clearance sale, I noticed there was customers in the shoe area that looked very lost looking for help I heard them yell for help three times.. they must have not offered the customers help when they walked in.... I think they need to work on their fradley customer service and being real to the customers when they greet them especially when youre a paying customer I believe that thers criminals in this world but not everybody should be looked at as a criminal as soon as you walk into their store....😔
