The staff at The Motorcycle Shop… amazing. Especially Jason. Jason is a walking talking Wikipedia of all the products he carries. My wife and I went to the shop every weekend for a month before we made a decision. Over the four weekends we asked Jason hundreds of questions, taking up a lot of his time, yet he patiently answered all of them plus some. The guy has a passion and a long history of motorcycles / scooters. A different young man (I forgot his name) that helped us with our helmets was equally as patient. He talked us through different styles and giving us all the pros and cons. And to top it off, when we bought our bikes, Jason showed us the best way to strap them in a trailer. Top notch service. Highly recommended.
Jason the owner was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with the purchase of the buddy 50cc moped. We came by multiple times & were always treated extremely well. Would recommend this shop to anyone! What a great family owned business!
Great place to shop for older motorcycles 🏍,An electric bicycles 🚲,An also different kinds of new an used Scooters🛵 👍👌 😎,The Employees here are verywelcoming, An very informative 👍😎.I always look forward to stopping in to see what they have in stock that day 👍👌😎.
Family owned shop carrying several lines of motorcycles, scooters, and electric bikes. Friendly and attentive. Loads of knowledge.
This place is great, has a wide selection of Mopeds. The owner and employees are very helpful and knowledgeable about the different styles and brands.
I went there to get an inspection sticker for my Harley. It was like walking into a 2 wheel dream. The Motorcycle Shop is a haven for vintage motorcycles and scooters. I could spend hours browsing. Its a must see for long time riders. The antique jewels are hidden amongst the cutest scooters Ive ever seen. Yes, now that Ive seen the techy scooters, I want one, just cause.. I met the Amazing Owner he is a cornucopia of old bike facts. Hes had them all and remembers them all. I thought I was the human old bike encyclopedia; hes got me beat down with knowledge. They charged me $7 for a sticker! Last year from the Harley Dealer I paid $13. So the guys at TMS are honest too. Go there get your putter repaired or buy something. Support this bike shop that has quietly resided in our fair city for almost 1/2 a century. Very cool. Very cool.
These guys were awesome and great customer service, Jason was very helpful.
Very helpful and accommodating. No pressure to buy. Knowledgeable in their products.
These guys have some funky stuff to any newcomers in the world of motorcycles. Even the Harley Davidson models they carry are unique.I bought a Royal Enfield Himalayan from them brand new after researching it for a while. When I first started looking for them after they were released, Dallas was the nearest place to carry them. After I was ready to pull to trigger and have one towed from Dallas, I did some digging and found these guys had them! Way to stay up on things.Within a week, I had ridden the amount of miles required for the first service and these guys got me in and out. Ill likely continue my service appointments here.If youre looking for something unique and out of the ordinary, check out this place.
In have always taken my 2005 kymco people 150 to get serviced at this place since 2004 when I bought my scooter there. Great service ... Jason and family take pride in their knowledge and services for each brand of scooters they sell. This shop has always taken care of me. I would highly recommend.
Great place for scooter purchases and electric bikes. Authorized Royal Enfield dealer as well.
Jason Trott is a friendly shop owner who is professional and well informed. He was a pleasure to work with when I recently bought my Vespa scooter. Service and product quality were top notch. Don McCann
Very friendly and honest place hope to come back and buy my next toy!
Great service overall! Staff is knowledgeable, patient and listens. Took the time to walk us through a lot of scooter options to find the best fit for us. Recommend you start your search here!
First time scooter buyer and we had The best service ! They were all Friendly and helpful !Great selection of scooters and easy buying process
Jason and his crew went above and beyond to help me this weekend. Their service team is courteous and eager to help, and when they couldnt get the part I needed to get me back on the road, they gave me one from their personal stock until the spare could be delivered. Couldnt ask for a more contentious dealer! They also have some great upgrades: be sure to check out their selections of LED lighting to replace your stock ones. Slick accessories and very knowledgeable about Royal Enfield! Great selection of motorcycles and scooters on hand, too.
It was ok enjoy the visit
So I have never had a scooter or bike of my own.. I read reviews of just family friendly this place was. I went and they did not force feed anything down my throat and were super helpful in understanding the concept of scooters versus bikes and which would suit my budget. Jason and Collin were very helpful in the initial purchase. I had one issue, speedometer cable was bad and they fixed that with no hassle. A+
Outstanding service. They got my CRF250X tuned up and running perfectly. Ive been coming here for years and will continue to do so. You should too. Well done. 1st class all the way
3rd time stopping by and its closed... Cash in hand ready to buy that himalayan up front but I guess Ill just look somewhere else
Called in for some advice after a big dealership turned me down. Jack was really helpful despite me calling close to closing time. Gave me some great advice as I was headed in a very expensive direction. Thank you very much jack!!!!
Always great service from Jason and the staff. I wouldnt go anywhere else.
Just a wonderful place to get service on your 2 wheeled machine! Or if you need a new ride come here they have some cool options that are unique.
Great people who love what they do! A very pleasant experience. I would definitely refer anybody looking to buy, they we’re never over pushy with sales, and really worked with us with what we had to spend, I was able to purchase a very nice motorcycle, with a cool old school look. I am a very happy customer, and will never buy from anyone else from this point forward! Thanks to all the guys at the motorcycle shop! Best regards. Edgar
Great people, very friendly and helpful. Excellent selection of scooters.
I had a lot of interesting stuff that I would like to purchase but none of it was for sale and it was just scattered everybody Didnt Have You set place for anything
Always courteous and helpful
Great people! Very personable and quick service. No complaints!
Always a great experience by a knowledgeable group!
I visited The Motorcycle Shop a few times before I was ready to buy my scooter. Each time the guys there answered every one of my questions and addressed all of my concerns. When it came time for my purchase, they were super-fast, professional and friendly. Since then, they have continued the excellent service and friendliness. I LOVE that it is a family owned/operated shop. They truly take pride in what they do. I suggest to anyone pondering a scooter or motor bike give these guys a call. They are great.
Ive been taking my bike to the folks at the motorcycle shop for several years, they have always done great, thorough work. Highly recommended!!
I have been going here for years. They always have amazing service, friendly and knowledgeable employees. No matter how long youve been riding, or what questions you ask, they treat you with dignity and respect. Turn around time for getting a bike fixed here is usually pretty quick. 100% recommend this place. Definitely my go-to shop.
I recently purchased my first motorcycle from the motorcycle shop. Fantastic experience all round. Jason was very good to work with and even delivered the bike and gave me a little tutorial on the functions etc. great place and great folks.
Great experience! My husband found a used Kymco that just happened to be US Navy camo.. so unusual, and as a Navy Veteran, it was perfect. I had my eye on a new orange Genuine, and when my husband called back after his purchase, the guys were super helpful. We love Urban Warrior and Pumpkin, and use them daily with our commute. We have referred at least 5 people over the past 6 months due to their selection, knowledge, and service. Thank you!
Im taking a moment to write a review of this shop because they well deserve it! Went in to buy my first new Buddy 50 a few days ago and found the process to be incredibly easy and fulfilling. Everyone was EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable. i never felt like i was bothering anyone and everyone was eager to share what they know and help me make the right purchase for me. I LOVE that it is a family owned business. I can tell everyone loves what they do and i felt incredibly comfortable there. I wish they the best of luck in their business and I will come back to purchase a scooter for my boyfriend soon!
Friendly and skilled. Helped inspect and go over my Shadow, changed oil, lubed cables quickly. Answers questions without being rushed. Hooked me up with a sweet helmet. My go to shop for now on.Update: 8/24/16. Had the Shop do some more work on my beloved bike. New tires, new chain, new sprockets, general look over. Again, really good service. Thorough and extremely fair price. I wish I had more work for these guys. I bought my first bike from The Motorcycle Shop back in 88/89 and was extremely satisfied then. As far as Im concerned the tradition lives on nicely and San Antonio is lucky these guys are still around. I once took my other bike to another shop for some clutch cable/lever work done and had to endure crotchety attitudes for riding a metric. That shop is long gone now for good reason and Ive learned my lesson.Just go there. Stop wasting your time and get it done right at a the Shop!
Great local business. Bought my first here in 2005 and am still a customer. Helpful staff
Helpfull staff jason answered all my questions. Im definitely comming back here
I get quote for $35 to change tire on Friday just bring it on Saturday since late. I get there and get charged $60 and that’s not the worse of it the guy puts tire on backwards. I was told after I got tire I have to wait another 45 minutes. Told him why I didn’t put it on backwards and said I was quoted $35 he said well it’s $50 plus $10 dollars extra since I brought my own tire asked why he said I have to buy their tires or they charge $10 for not buying it from them crazy but watch it they not only have hidden charges but put directional tires on backwards
Great guys always looking out for you and willing to help. A+
This family owned shop is awesome. I went in to buy a helmet and came out with a new bike. Great group of guys.
I live in Houston and bought a new Vespa from the local dealer for my wife. A couple of weeks after that purchase, we decided to get another one for me. We didnt want to buy from the same dealer so I began calling Austin and San Antonio Vespa locations. Nothing against the shop in Austin but Jason spent a lot of time on the phone with me answering questions, providing information on other scooter choices etc. We gave it some thought and decided that although the drive was a PITA, we wanted to do business with these guys. I asked them to have ALL paperwork completed so I could stop in, complete the transaction and get back on the road to Houston as quickly as possible. That is exactly what they did. Could not be more pleased about doing business with them. I didnt get a chance to meet the owner (Jason) but Collin (sp?) was a super nice guy and got me in and out of the shop quickly. I regret not buying our first scooter from them.
The Motorcycle Shop is an awesome full-service shop with emphasis on the word service. I trust these guys will take care of anything I might need. They seem to be able to work on anything with two wheels and an engine. As the new Royal Enfield dealer in town, I know Ill be in good hands with my Classic 500. Solid shop!
Great customer service 👍!!!!!! I trust them with maintenance and repairs on my Motorcycle. I highly recommend them.
Horrible very rude service
Knowledgeable, and helpful friendly staff.
One of the most awesome place for motorcycles and maintenance!! Such friendly and helpful guys!!
Took my Honda scooter to the dealer regarding the electric fuel pump that would not turn off -- told it is normal -- The shop found and fixed the problem quickly and at a very reasonable cost. Great personnel-Great service.
Very nice and respectful people. Probably the absolute best motorcycle shop in San Antonio. Tried to save me money as much as they could and helped me after I damaged my bike with great customer service.
Mark was awesome!
Very friendly staff. Fixed my bike same day. Even invited me to a charity ride. I will definately return for service. Great selection of bikes and scooters.
Worst service there plus they couldn’t even sell me the right part I had to take it in and show him they keep giving me wrong part. How can you mix up Harley-Davidson from Yamaha please tell me how
It took me months to decide on which scooter to buy. Jason let me test ride a number of new and used bikes over a period of months while I went back and forth over what to buy. I ultimately decided to buy the Piaggio Liberty 150S and it was a great buying experience. They have also installed some LED accent underglow lights for me that are quiet nice. I like dealing with a small company that gets to know its customers and is straight with them. Also, I like the continuity of communications. It is nice to speak to one or two guys rather than a different person every time you call (as is the case with big dealers).
Just ordered a new Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor. Have done business with Jason and crew for years. Great guys.
These folks - Jason, Patrick & the gang have kept my scooters running great since 2007. Keep up the good work Motorcycle Shop.
Great shop freindly people nice selection of bikes.inexpensive too
No pressure and great selection. Tell them what you need they will help you get the right scooter for you. Have bought two scooters from them and will never go anywhere else.
Living HELL!!!!They destroyed my rim. They claimed that the rim had chips in the Powder Coat when it showed up. THEY LIED!!!. The tire was NOT installed with a tire machine but instead by hand with pry-bars and they bent the rim! They have NO respect for their customers property. Not even a sorry. I would have given it zero stars if I could.
I previously left a negative review for The Motorcycle School / Bodacious Bikes and mistakenly associated it for The Motorcycle Shop / Vespa San Antonio. The latter are currently assisting me with my bike and ao far service has been excellent. They also have a long history both with Enfield service and the city of San Antonio. I recommend.
I purchased my Stella here back in 2005. Ive put over 24k miles on it, and just LOVE to ride. The great folks at the motorcycle shop keep it running in tip top shape. To the poster who was upset about them being shorthanded. This is not a PepBoys. The folks at the motorcycle shop cant help it when 10 people show up at shop open, and all want quick service. Ive been there when they could do a tune up for me while I waited, and Ive sometimes had to leave my ride for a few days. All you have to do is call them and they will let you know if there is a backlog. You can plan your service with them, and they do deliver when they say they will!
Great group of guys and huge selection of bikes from small to large displacement. Cool shop!
I love this place. Just know that its going to be super busy if you go on a Saturday.
Great experience! These guys are all about customer service and Getting you back on the bike. I highly recommend them.
So today I went to The Motorcycle Shop today on Austin Highway and was asking them about why my 650 Yamaha V-Star was bogging out.I am a daily rider and was dreading having my bike in the shop for any extended period of time. Most of the major shops in town will not work on bikes over 10 years old which is crap in my opinion.Jason, after asking a few questions and looking at my bike. said worst case scenario was my carburetors needed work and it would be about $220 apiece for labor..Seeings how my bike had 2 of them it would have been about $450 total for that service. He then said hang on a minute please and walked back into the shop area. When he came back he asked how long it had been since I changed my spark plugs, I told him I wasnt sure, but at least a year. He suggested before they serviced it I should replace the plugs and see if the problem persisted. So only $10 dollars later I changed out the spark plugs and the bike ran freaking awesome. I will be forever indebted to this shop and will not take my bike anywhere else in town to be worked on in the future as The Motorcycle Shop cares more about customer satisfaction than padding a service bill for services not needed. Props to the Owner for enabling the employees to ensure customer satisfaction:) Thank you guys and in the future I will recommend you to my friends. Sincerely, Scott DeMarco
Very nice people and quick service.
Went with friend they charge $10 for not buying their tires from them and $50 to change a tire when going rate is $35 quoted plus they unskilled tire changer who don’t know directional tires have to go on right way customer service is a joke
Great experience! Theyre VERY knowledgeable, friendly, patient and dedicated individuals! I purchased a Vespa Sei Giorni 300 and couldnt be happier with the purchase, the experience and the amazing experiences that are to come with this awesome scooter!
Jason and Colin are the 2 guys I dealt with and I couldnt be happier. Scooter was up n scootin right away.
Do NOT go here. They rip you off at every opportunity. I took my motorcycle to get new tires put on (which I had already purchased elsewhere). They told me it would be 1 day to put them on..... and then told me it was $65 PER TIRE to install them. Then I received a call from them informing me that they had broken my brake cable and it had to be ordered. TWELVE DAYS LATER, after they ordered the incorrect cable and had to reorder the correct one, I received a bill for the tires, the cable, and the labor to install the cable THEY BROKE! I find this to be horrendous customer service, and wont be returning.
Lot of cool scooters for sale.
Fast and friendly service. They have lots of scooters
Staff is rude and racist.. Treated unfairly... There from britain and think there better than everyone... They put on smiles but behind the scenes the truth comes out... Reviewed by an ex employee..
Always very helpful with advice and good prices for such a small shop.
Avoid this place at all costs. There was a time that i refered people here but its been on a steady decline for years. They left a spacer off my motorcyle and when I came back to complain they denied that they even had the bike or any record of it. I had them double check some work I did myself because it wasnt lining up right and apparently instead of taking off the tire and checking it they just tightened the bolts and sent me on my way. Without the spacer my bearings were ruined which could have resulted in my bike locking up on the highway. Even after I brought my bank statement showing they worked on it. The owner was totally unapologetic and rude. He even had the audacity to say I should learn to do work on my motorcycle myself. I told him I would never come back and he said good I dont want you to.
Scooters, scooters, scooters the place to buy them, get them fixed, and serviced. Family owned, been here for 30+ years.
Knowledgeable staff, no balogna, no problems, in and out hassle free.
When my wife and I decided to get a vespa for around town I was pleased to find a shop that was an authorized vespa dealer near me. I really didnt know a lot about bikes at the time but the employees were very helpful and informed me of the different displacements and what I should look for in a new bike/scooter. I got a primavera 150 from them and have loved it ever since. They continue to help me every time I visit the shop with a question or concern about my vespa. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a scooter (they also have some sweet used motorcycles if your in the market).
Failed to discuss any late fees with me
Best service in town Jason and collen are awesome.
Walked in hoping they’d help me find a part that I needed considering they have the same brand and model of motorcycle that I have.
They have an appreciation for the old bikes and they sell new bikes, too.

Very happy with the srevice
Great customer service every time and honest!!
Good inventory and prices
A very friendly atmosphere .
These guys were rude to me, no welcome, no hello, no can I help You? Wow and I was one of 3people in the store.
I did not like my service here, customer service is not good at all they are very rude and have very little to almost no intentions to helping you, the items there are over priced you could get most accesorys at cycle gear / cycle plex for half the price I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.
Family atmosphere, tons of variety, always willing to help.
Great service after you purchase
Larger variety of scooters and very helpful people
Nice people and cool bikes
Bought my 1st scooter, it was nice.
Very customer oriented!
