I have been laboring over finding words that adequately describe my multiple experiences with The Girl General! The first clue of my love for this company and its staff is the use of the phrase multiple experiences! Each and every experience I have had with them has been beyond wonderful! The entire staff is kind, gracious, helpful, and have talents and abilities that are out of this world fabulous! In the past year they have helped me with my sons rehearsal dinner and my daughters wedding. They listened to my ideas and then took them to the next level! They came up with things that were beyond my wildest dreams. And I promise you if you can dream it they can deliver and if you cant dream it they can do that for you too! I will end by saying that while doing two wedding related events in the last year I have found many vendors to be greedy and nickel and dime you, out for themselves that is NOT the case with The Girl General, they bent over backwards to be just the exact opposite! I encourage you .... USE THEM ... USE THEM ... USE THEM.... YOU WILL LOVE THEM, I PROMISE!

Anne and her team created amazing original invitations for our party. The quality was excellent and came in on time and on budget, not easy these days! They have been a pleasure to work with and will use again for future events!!

There are not enough words for me to explain what an amazing place this is. We ordered my daughters wedding invitations here. The process was seamless. Anne listened to what our thoughts were and showed us several different options and shared ideas. When they arrived they were beautiful, however there was a a printing error that was totally my fault. I was almost in tears. I was so worried about the timing with Covid delays. Anne and Madelyn (her daughter) were calm and jumped into action. They had it fixed and even helped with getting them mailed out in time. It was way beyond the call of duty, and I could not be more thankful. I will recommend this shop to friends and family, and will be a returning customer in the future. Girl General is a cute little shop that carries more than just invitations, there are many “must haves” to choose from! Thank you Girl General for all of your help and more importantly your kindness!!!!

We love working with Girl General. Anne and her staff are the sweetest and most professional when dealing with. They did some invitation bands for one of our brides. We were cut a little short on time but they took great care of my client and had them ready! And the store is stocked full of amazing gifts! I cant say enough about The Girl General!!! They were an absolute delight to work with from the very beginning. Such amazing energy from everyone who works there. You can tell they really love their work. My fiance and I first met with Anne to get the process started and she was just wonderful. So helpful and absolutely knows her stuff! Which is great for a new bride that definitely needed help navigating the complex and confusing world of wedding planning. Then the amazing Juliana took over with designing our invites, which was two-fold since were having a destination wedding and then a party in San Antonio afterwards that required two sets of invitations. She was fantastic to work with...so talented, timely, and helped bring my vision to life! The result...absolutely stunning invitations that are exactly what we wanted. We have gotten such amazing feedback from our guests. Everyone absolutely LOVES them! The Girl General made this process so easy, which allowed me the time and mind power to concentrate on all the other tasks on my wedding planning to do list. Cant recommend them enough!!!

I started looking for invitations back in September the girl that sat with me and my fiance was so very kind and helpful, we were having the hardest time deciding what we wanted for our wedding invitations. With added help from one of the designers we started to visually see our invitations. Girl General was amazing for me and my fiancé. They took the time to bring her vision to life and to help me better understand the process. (because i didn’t have a clue). From our wedding invitations to the special invitations we want to create for an after wedding celebration it was fantastic. I could not recommend them enough!!!

Me and my sister stopped by today, mainly because of the cute cat named Sister, and loved it! Everything was so cute and I really loved all of the beautiful items they had. I got a cat pen since it reminded me of Sister and a headband. The pen is super cute and has a fine point, and I love the headband I got! My headbands always fall off but this one has not come off once! It’s a little pricey there but I think it is worth it since their merchandise is cute and functional. We will definitely come back again for more cute school supplies and kitty pets!!!

I am beyond pleased with the service I received from Girl General. Anne and the rest of the staff are extremely helpful, they made my husband and I feel like family as we went through the process of selecting our wedding invitations. We even ordered some amazing cocktail napkins from them. We HIGHLY recommend this place for invitations and more!!! We will definitely be using them again.

Girl General was a BREEZE to work with! I need napkins and cups for an event, and Eleanor made the experience so enjoyable. She went above and beyond and helped me design the perfect logo for my cups and napkins. The entire staff chimed in on making the perfect saying to go on the napkin. Anne the owner, even wrote her own version for me! Everything was perfect and my guests loved the small details of the cups and napkins. I will be back!!

Girl General is a perfectly unassuming little boutique paper shop nestled in between Huebner and IH 10. I used these brilliant and insightful ladies for my daughters Bat Mitzvah invitations. Anne personally sat with my daughter and I and explained every detail.. even taking in and implementing all my daughters ideas.Even with the 1,000s of samples in the store... my daughter wanted something truly custom... and boy did we get that and more! Once the invitations went out, the calls never seemed to stop coming in about how creative, amazing and even more of how they had never seen such a unique invitation before. I couldnt be happier with the attention to detail Anne and her staff had with us. We look forward to our next event to share with Anne for a perfectly printed masterpiece. I took my mom to look for wedding invitations, when we walked in there were 3 ladies working but not one of them greeted or even acknowledge our existence. We looked around the store & walked up to the table two of the girls were sitting at & started going through the invitation display book & finally one of them asked what we needed then proceeded to tell us that we would need to make an appointment. Needless to say we didnt bother with an appointment.

I am sitting in front of this store right now and its closed. They are building a Snooze restaurant in its place. It would have been nice if theyd updated their website to inform people they were closed so I wouldnt have wasted my time dragging my 2 year old here . Thanks for nothing.

My wife ordered invitations for our vow renewal. I am not one to care about those kind of details. When she brought them home, and I opened them I was literally blown away. Anne and the whole team are a dream to work with! I initially heard about Girl General through some physicians at University Hospital since they only had great things to say about the staff and the work that they do here. Even when I initially thought that I was not going to be able to work with them since the design that I wanted was actually being produced by a different company, Anne still helped me choose the exact wording for my invitations and even helped me contact the other company. Even after my plans with the other company fell through, Anne and her staff helped me select a new design within my budget and got the invitations to me quickly. I wish I were not moving away from San Antonio! Otherwise I would come here again in a heartbeat!

My sister got her wedding invitations done here. She misspelled her last name multiple times! The BRIDES name was wrong over and over again on proofs. Way over priced. Emilie did an awful job at listening to th the brides want and needs. From wanting vibrant colors and using pastels, to common etiquette on wording, etc. Would definitely look around before doing invites from here.

I do not recommend this shop for invitations or anything requiring a collaborative design process or accuracy in ordering. The owners behavior and professionalism is unpredictable and made for a disappointing experience.

We ordered baby shower invitations for my niece’s first born. Upon review of the first draft, they were told to correct the name and spell it with one “l”. Attempting to make it right because we were out of time and they couldn’t do a reprint soon enough, they offered a 50% discount and inserts to explain the error like this...“In all the excitement we spelled Camila the other way!” Then they proceed with, ‘offical’ spelling: Camila. They spelled “official” wrong on the reprint. In our rush, we left feeling like they made it right because we only focused on the spelling of the baby’s name and the insert was actually done very nicely. Ugh! Our fault is not focusing on all words on the insert! Their fault, not using a little helpful thing called spell check! And, for unique baby name spellings- once asked to correct something as important as they baby’s name, (monogram, savings accounts opened as gifts, etc.) they should do 2nd, 3rd, or as many drafts as it takes to validate before printing the total supply! So disappointing. Never again going to this place for anything important and these aren’t cheap so, make sure you get your money’s worth!
