Great place. Lots of clothing selections. The ladies that work here are super nice.

This used to be one of my favorite places to shop. I won’t be shopping there anymore until their prices come down. It’s completely ridiculous. Clothing prices are way too high. Housewares are somewhat overpriced, and the Knick knacks are unbelievably over priced. Don’t waste your time here. Most of the other thrift stores are the same. I’ll drive to kerrville before I shop here again.

Hands down my favorite thrift store! Always clean and organized and the staff is friendly. Every week different color tag is 50% off and they have sales every holiday.

First time visiting and I am impressed. The store is clean, the clothes very organized by color code and sizes. Separated by categories as well from juniors, plus size, kids, etc. If you have complained about this store then maybe you need to READ the signs that are posted. Masks are required, the sale of the day is posted above. Found some great quality items (boutique) section that I was lucky to get at 50 % off because I took advantage of the color of the day. It was getting busy and the employees attended as quickly as they could to the customers waiting for a fitting room or checking out. Going to give Madeline a big thumbs up as she explained to me thoroughly about the rewards program. Very efficient (she sanitized after every customer) friendly and just made me feel welcomed. I am definitely going to be coming back more often. Thank you all to those working there that day! PS It is Friday and days like this are usually hectic anywhere. Oh on another note customers why dont you ask how their day is going rather than insulting them for not acknowledging you, you will definitely get a better response when you do. Trust me,you will get a great conversation when you do. It works for me all the time and I just made them smile for that moment. Spread love not hate.

The store is always pretty well organized so its easy to find items. I only gave 4 stars because I hated the music they were playing and they make you wear a mask. I probably wont go back until the mask mandate is lifted.

Best thrift store in San Antonio. Always organized, but not too much to where it takes the fun out of thrifting. So much good stuff. Staff has always been kind and helpful.

The store is clean and well organized with a huge selection and variety of items all at decent prices, organized into sections easy to navigate. Some of the items may not be in perfect condition but most are and some even brand new.

I just think the staff could be more friendly. Customer service seems to be a lost art form but,it really goes a long way. When I do have a good experience I always mention it. Im sorry I did forget to add that the store was clean and everyone was doing their part to sanitize after each customer. I will not stop coming though and I encourage everyone to do the same. Probably the best thrift store in the area! I can never find anything good anywhere else.The only problem is that im a little uncomfortable with a camera pointed straight into the dressing rooms. And since theres a mirror, im sure whoever oversees the footage can see everything :( If you plan to use the dressing room just beware, and maybe wear shorts and a tank top to try the clothes over!

Very clean, extremely organized clothing ares with all departments clearly separated and marked. Prices are fair discounts are reasonable. The only downfall is the miscellaneous/kitchen/electronics area. It is very disorganized and kept me avoiding that section.

Been coming here for years and it seems like lately some of the prices have gone wayyy up. For instance I had found a set of salt and pepper shakers that looked like they were from the 80s. I would have bought them but they were like $15 for the set. I understand they are considered vintage, but come on thats like antique store prices. Another item I saw was a toy guitar that looked like the $10 ones you can buy at Walmart for $50. Where are they getting some of these numbers from?

Definitely a great thrift store with a huge selection in every section of the store. Prices are great! I will say it was hard to find good quality clothes on the day I visited, but as this was on a weekend I’m sure this was just a product of others finding the great steals before I did. Helpful staff and overall a great experience!

Was my first time and its pretty large, they had a color of the day 50% off. Clothes seemed separated well by size and type. Due to pandemic, they dont have public restrooms. Friendly, clean and organized. And prices seemed fair. Worth a visit.

I just left that store like 20 min ago. I had a bad experience with the so called cashier/ Mgr jennefer.First of all when i went in there in the entrance, I noticed nick nacks i selected and put on the counter for them to hold because i was in a hurry. I did not plan to shop. I went looking for a towel for my car. I have shopped there before, not regular but I have. I could mot find no towels so i started looking for curtains. I even asked for some help in finding towels but they had none.The panels i found, one set of panel which had two in one with a valance already sewn in..the price was already in place. I selected it. Then when I went to pay, i had told the cashier Jennifer I also had a candle vase on hold and frames and I asked her if she could please wrap it..she went to retrieve it then she looked at my items and said the price on the curtain was incorrect. She hadnt even charged for the candle vase. She called for help to make sure There were not others with another price higher. Jennifer then said it could be a store error and or prob some customer changed the price lower. Well that was unlikely because the tag looked untouched with the pricing gun they used.I followed the other lady that went to look for the curtains to find a similar...she found a black one with 2.00 higher.Point being.....the customer should always be right. We are going through a pandemic and i told her as i raised my voice to her i did not appreciate her stereo typing me that i changed the price.I never said profanity to her but through my heated moment i did slip a slang but not at her.This woman should not have escalated a debate over the price because the curtains were already set in its price by the establishment.Regardless....of her feelings towards me.I will not step foot in that store again ....i went in for a towel and left very heated.She needs proper training in how the customer is right. For heaven sake the curtain had like a tear on it and the price was already set in by the machine.

Always a great place to shop. Prices are fair compared to others thrift shops. Staff is friendly and helpful when asked. Overall great spot to find some gems and others treasures.

I went yesterday & they had a good selection of clothes. Also saw a review that said they were expensive but I thought they were fairly cheap.

Little dusty, out allergies were acting up. But other than that it’s a huge thrift shop and exactly what you’d expect from one. Great selection of clothing but not much home stuff. Lots of toys. I got a cute pair of retro 1D glasses for 99 cents.

Good quality clothes at reasonable prices. Even offer a rewards program to frequent patrons. Only draw back is that all purchases are final. And they are not allowing anyone to use the fitting rooms to see if items fit properly.

Prices are a little high! However it is not impossible to find a deal on a couple things here and there, You just have to dig through the huge inventory they have. The reason for the huge inventory is because of the high prices. One bit of advice, you are a resale shop given free stuff not a storage facility. Goodwill still has the best prices in town though.

4 Great finds, 2 New with tags, and some great CDs, but was hoping to find more summer wear, and my finds were Fall/Winter.

“Trippin”I visit lots of thrift stores and Antique places around San Antonio and surrounding cities and this place has to be one of the priciest places. They might have some good deals but I’m not kidding when I say they price a doll with no feet at $50. Puppets for $25, Art (not original works) over $40 and other vintage items way above current market value!

I am fortunate to have sufficient income such that thrift store hopping is a bit of a hobby, and this is one of the regular stops I make when Im out. I often find usable stuff and only infrequently leave empty handed. I wont elaborate on what I look for there since one, why invite competition and two, why cause any rethinking of the pricing on stuff that I look for. My only gripe is that the time spent checking out is at times excessive. This is particularly so when stuck behind people with a cart full of clothes who speak no English. The wait for extra registers to open when the line is getting long could definitely be shortened.

I never leave from Thrift City empty handed. I was only recently introduced to “thrifting” by a close friend. Now I’m a frequent flier at Thrift City. I enjoy the selection, organization, and cleanliness of the store. The bathroom could use a little work, but I still give Thrift City 5 stars.As an educator, I can always find books and games for my classroom. Decorations for your classroom or office can be found here as well.The clothes are nice and they have a little “boutique” for higher end items.

This is one of my favorite thrift stores to hunt through for clothes! They anyways have a great selection of clean, well maintained clothing. Ive gotten so many cute dresses here! Best when shopping for clothing (including ethnic clothing [Indian, Asian, African]), not so great for home furnishings. They also have a really awesome rewards program.

This is one of the most organized thrift stores Ive ever been to! I was visiting family and saw this store, so I thought Id stop in. In the front, there is a boutique, which is where you can find name brand clothing for more expensive prices, up to 9.99. In the back are the clothing with the thrift store prices. The clothes were actually organized by size and categorized, making it easy to find what youre looking for. The best thing is the clothes are color coded, so theres no need to sort through each and every item like at other thrift stores, which saves a ton of time if you have a color scheme in mind. The employees were super friendly and the store was very clean. Ill definitely be back!

My favorite store to shop at, however, both my boyfriends mother and i after shopping here had our bank tell us our cards had been compromised. not sure if it is just a huge coincidence or not but i use cash only there now. couldve been a sketchy employee.

On a Sunday afternoon, my experience was great. A decent clean store and very spacious. Very color categorized, the color of the day was advertised, and the dressing room can be useful for employees to reinforce dressing room rules and waiting time.

The best thift store I have ever seen!This place is phenomenal!Tons of lightly used and new with tags, even with designer brands at such amazing prices. Best place for baskets for storage and gift basket making. I try to stay out of here just because I dont need anything, but they also carry cool vintage and super unique finds. Seriously the best in town =)!

My, husband and I went shopping here just recently on monday. Everything is priced really great and affordable. Just one question. I notice really cute wooden boxes of all sizes priced at $20, $25 dollars. When, before asking less than $10. Why so much?

Great selection of clothing. Clothes are very organized. But shoes and home supplies are limited. It seems every time I visit, there is always a long wait for waiting rooms and you have to have someone unlock the door. Bathroom needs more attention as there was a very strong odor coming from that direction.

Use the bathroom before you go! You wont dare to use theirs. That little fact aside, this place is a treasure hunt. Their niche? Womens clothing & shoes! Mens, womens, kids & babies shoes. They have a fair selection of books but unfortunately, most kids books are bundled in random bags. Good selection of toys/household/curtains/bags/baskets. Love their shopping rewards program!!!

Great store if youre in the market for clothes, but lacks in other departments. I have purchased clothing many times and never had an issue with quality. Occasionally I have ran across an item that seemed overpriced, but for the most part prices are reasonable. Not a lot of staff on hand, or at least not on the floor, so getting assistance can be an issue. I drive 25 miles just to shop here, and will continue to go back.

Would give 0 stars . one lady was extremely rude . i was leaving as the store was closing and she just telling me the store was closing . i told her i understood that as i was walking to the front to check out . she completely ruined my experience and i put everything down . and just left . never coming back again.

As a loyal customer for over 4 years and love this organization across states. I normally do not post reviews negative or less appealing comments. It was with regret that today has to be that day. Love the organization and this particular location, (San Antonio). All the associates are really helpful and courteous with one exception. The store manager, Audrey Ann. Had an issue with an item being wrong price. The cashier was doing what she needed to do, noticed on a household item I bought was price and tagged at .99, which I thought was an awesome price for the item. Thinking nothing of it I took the item to purchase. Cashier 1 was trying to figure out what the correct procedure to take, asking cashier 2 and 3 what should I do regarding this. As I’m standing at the counter listening to all the commotions, as I had another household item that was similar, cashier 1 was going to override the rate to $7.99 which I wouldn’t mind, but they never confirmed with me, I stated that has nothing to do with me, and the .99 price should be honored since it was tag at that price. A manager came up and told me that customers have been know to switch tags! I was taken back by the accusation, asked what does that have to do with my situation, we all looked at the tag, it looked very secure and I said how can a customer change tags. They would need to have a tag puncher to pierce the fabric. Then a 4 associate came up and said he’s right and customer couldn’t have done this, it had to been errors of the associate whom price and tag this item. I then said correct. I asked to speak with the store manager, one of them said I am the manager, I said no I know the store manger is here on the floor cause as a regular customer I know what she looks like, and I just saw her go into the office prior to me be serviced. Then Audrey Ann, comes to deal with my situation, first thing that came out of her mouth was we can’t sale this? Why not I asked? It’s wrongly tagged, ok, what dose it have to do with me purchasing it. You have to honor the tagged price regardless. She became what seemed irritated with me and want to avoid my concerns. As I’m attempting to voice my concerns she kept interrupting and cutting me off not allowing me to speak, I said excuse me I’m still talking, and Audrey Ann being irritated with me said if I continue to yell at her, which in no case I was, how could I when I was kept from voicing my concerns. Audrey then stated I could leave the store, I see you’re going ask me to leave because you are wrong in handling your confrontational skills, handling a simple miss-up on your employee errors. Once again this store is awesome. Store manager needs to be able to handle constructive criticism in customer services. I have contacted corporate and request to have a 3 way conference call with myself, Audrey, and her manager.

This is a nice store, very clean and organized. The customer service is also good. I tend to focus on specific items when Im thrifting, and its great to see everything carefully price tagged. For me the clothing prices are a bit high for items made from synthetic fibers.

We went looking for a blanket for our dog and found a sleeping bag. They had a good selection of rugs, blankets and clothes. People were shopping for clothes and seemed happy with their purchase.

I love the quality of the items here. Most are in good condition and priced appropriately. My only complaint is that the staff is constantly socializing and the dressing rooms are locked, which means tracking someone down, interrupting them, having them track someone who actually has the key and then waiting for them to finish their conversation so you can try something on. So bascially, dont be in a hurry when trying clothes on.

I love to go wander in here...rarely leave without something. Prices are ALL OVER the place.. Some things are great cups 39cents saucers too...and other items ridiculous high. More than new...but if you are careful and browse you can find some real treasures. The prices for item of the day are posted at the front on a big hanging board. I found prices to be much better here than the goodwill l have gone to here however close wise and furniture l prefer salvation army. When they have a sale its great

The associates at the registers are very helpful, friendly and ready to provide information about their rewards program. I can always find an associate around when I have a question. The bathrooms are clean and the store is neat & organized. Plenty of parking at this shopping plaza.

Great clothes at a great price

At about 11am I walked into thrift city and was greeted instantly. Very good customer service. However, it saddens me to say that I witnessed a very demeaning act from the cashier manager who I will only describe as having grey short hair with a colored strip in it (I didnt get a name lucky for her). Anyhow, she was reprimanding a young female associate. The manager was very harsh to the young female using phrases such as NO youre never going to get that done! and NO youre not doing this right! Coming from retail experience myself, I know that such behavior is degrading and cannot be accepted. Overall It was very disheartening to witness and made me feel very uncomfortable, I can only imagine how it made the employee feel. Thrift City, please do better.

Pretty pricey charging 14 dollars for a shirt I might as well get brand new. Shoes are disorganized sized and messy. Clothes are color coordinated and size coordinated but juniors are mixed with all sizes.

Good variety of items but no one wants to pay $7 for a badly faded nike or under armour tshirt. Great place to find kitchen pans and pots for reasonable price. Prices are kind of all over the place. Could be a cleaner place its very dusty more than other thrift stores Ive been to. Open late which is a plus. Helpful workers

Its a clothing-centric place. If thats what you need, its a lot of good stuff at good prices, but dont roll in looking for any iconic thrift store finds. Their general merch section is pretty small and rarely has anything that good.That said, as a clothing place, its adequate.

Good place to get deals on clean secondhand clothing and housewares. Everyday there are sales, and periodically big sales of you sign up for their mailing list. Always new stuff arriving daily! Check it out!

Very well organized and well lit thrift shop. Mostly clothes. The email subscription does actually help you know when the big sales are and give you exclusive deals. Boutique section with designer clothes, too.

Bit busy for some reason today but my wife had to have treasures.

Worst place to work ever. They cant keep their employees due to all the disrespect and favoritism. Let’s start with the main manager Audrey when I first started she was understanding my daughter has Liver failure and this last month has not been good for her so I would keep her updated and days I couldn’t go into work due to hospital visits but I always brought a note to her. Then she changed her mind and one day told me take the week off to get things straight. Like all I needed was 2 days but ok. Then Victoria and her make their own cheap prices for the stuff they are going to purchase. Which is not right. Their is no water in that store. It’s very dirty. They treat us like slaves. We get payed $7.25 and to be treated like dogs. We don’t get a good job or nothing. Since I started everyone has Quit the job. That should tell you something. So I got in trouble on Wednesday due to plugging in an item to see if it worked but I did plug it up under the register because no one has told me not to I even told a manager and she told me ok that’s fine then to get in trouble for it like for one they just throw you on the register with a 2 hour training and all pat does is act like she’s your boss. On top of all that she has the door open talking about im mad because she got upset because I plugged something in. So unprofessional I was never mad nor did she call me in the office to talk about it. So if I was trained right I would of known. And yesterday as I’m leaving I get told not to come in on Friday she don’t need me and call her Monday. Due to me telling one person I have a job interview. Wow so I will take a legal action for one I’ve had all doctors notes and two because I’m not making it off of 7.25 you want to be upset because I’m trying to better myself. I think corporate should look into everything at that store even the main manager their is a reason this company don’t keep people. Because I love the job but no respect for their employees. So if you apply here know it’s the worst job.
