Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit here! Was a little tricky to find as it is snuck back in Bracken Village, but definitely a must visit if you love cookie dough! I tried nearly every flavor offered (free samples!) and it was delicious. I settled on cookies and creme, caramel pecan, traditional chocolate chip, and brownie batter for my scoops and took home a pint of the flavor compost which was my FAVORITE. All the doughs are made fresh in-house, they ship, and they have toppings! They also have some lunch menu items with lemonade + milk ON TAP. Lastly, they had given me information on their brunch they have on Saturdays and some recommendations for local tacos as Im new to the area. All in all everything was great including the conversations and I spent a good amount of time there. Will be back or send my boyfriend who works nearby for some scoops in the future ;)

This place is great! We both loved it. I cant remember which flavors we got but they are so pretty good. Just a tip: 3 scoops is probably too much for a single person but would be great to split between 2 people. The place is located in a neighborhood where ever house is a different business and you can just stroll though the neighborhood and look around and go into different shops. Its a fun experience.

Delicious sandwiches and breakfast! I’m not rating based on the cookie dough because I just don’t like cookie dough in general. Great place for some good pancakes. Their syrup is the bomb. The ladies is the back are also very friendly. Good costumer service.

Very good, will definitely cure your sweet tooth! It is hard to find though because it is on a property with various Victorian houses that have all been turned into various businesses. They definitely need some sort of sign on the road to guide people, this is the only reason I gave a 4. Other than that it was perfection in my mouth🙂

Peculiar experience.Food/product first: interesting concept. A variety of flavors of cookie dough made to be safe to eat uncooked. I tried Monster and one other but settled on a traditional chocolate chip. One of our group loved the red velvet and the double chocolate was exceptional. One thing from a customer point of view: the dough is difficult for the server to scoop up with a metal scoop, so the plastic spoons bend a bit when eating it. I know temperature has to be cool to maintain product.The space they are in is a older, or older style pier & beam building with a bright pastel interior (there is a lilac color ceramic sink on the porch, that should give you an idea of the colors.) No bathroom report, good nor badMy last item is the venue, for lack of a better term. After some extra turns to find the place we got parked to be greeted by a No Photography sign with a web address to get permits and all that. Kinds odd for a collection of old buildings off the side of a rural highway north of San Antonio during the age of selfies and crowd promotion. I felt fine going here with my family on an early evening, not sure how I feel about some of my younger friends coming back for date night here.

This is a hidden gem for braken! Our family loved this place. It was so beautiful inside and out...the ice cream was so delicious. We also had the daily soup and I had the rotisserie chicken sandwich they were both awesome! I highly recommend this place....Kylie and James were the best and were very kind in helping us out . So what are you waiting for? Get out there and get some scoops!

The staff is super friendly and generous. Even though we went during brunch time, we were able to order sandwiches. Had the rotisserie chicken avocado bacon. Super tasty. Thanks for the wonderful food and atmosphere.

Went for Saturday brunch.Their coffee was medium roast, nutty, and brewed stout.I ordered the omelette with all the veggies, no potatoes, add sausage. What I got was a simple, cheesy omelette with super fresh ingredients. I asked for hot sauce and got a super fresh ranchero sauce, grandmas recipe. It was freaking awesome. Everything was delicious.My wife got the two plates of pancakes and the potatoes OBrien. Everything was great and the service was friendly. We even chatted with the owner chef on our way out.Be sure to double check their location as Google maps is a little off. The area is really cool.Will definitely come back to try the cookie dough.

This was the best edible cookie dough ice ever tasted. The dough is smooth and not grainy at all, I only tried the chocolate chip but all of the flavors looked great. I definitely want to go back

First time here. My family had the cookie dough with ice cream and they loved it. I had one of their sandwiches, which was delicious. I cant wait to go back!

This place might be the only good reason to go to La Cantera, but I wont hold that against them. The cookie dough has great flavor, theres lots of options, and its RICH, so you dont need a ton of it to be really satisfying. Customer service was great. Only thing that was strange is that the lemonade we got was either spiked or it has fermented in its dispenser, because it REALLY tastes/smells like someone dropped a shot of vodka in it. Not that Im complaining, but it was... surprising. I had a double scoop waffle cone with one scoop of cake batter and one scoop of brookie, and it was fantastic. Wife had a frosted/sprinkled waffle cone with one scoop of monster and one scoop of chocolate chocolate chip. Really good stuff, just wish I didnt have to go to lil Austin to get it.

It is rare that all your food comes to the table hot and full of flavor. Fresh blueberries in the pancakes and the omelet and pancakes were hot.

Brunch was very unimpressive. The server asked me 4 to 5 times what my order was while we were eating breakfast. It took 30 minutes for breakfast to come out. there was no one there to serve us, we had to stand at the counter and the line was excessively long just to get our food order in.The first time we came for ice cream it was fine because you’re ordering at a counter but when a group of 8 to 10 is eating brunch for Mother’s Day the last thing they want to do is stand in line to order when there’s already a lot of people there. I think scoop cookie dough should stick to ice cream.

I ordered the chicken avocado bacon club. It was good. I ordered pancakes also but they were cold. I got no plastic wear, syrup, or butter to go. When I asked the girl about it she said they were really busy right now. I will try them one more time to see if food and service improved.

This place is so cute! The staff was very friendly and cared about what she was selling. I like the idea of cookie dough, because it wont melt while you walk around, will freeze well, and can be baked at home. They make it themselves; you can see all of the ingredients in the dough. Rich flavor, sweet, and very delicious!

Super Cute, Family Friendly Cafe. Saturday Brunch was Amazing (the blue berry pancakes were so yummy!). Great find on our vacation to San Antonio. Wish there was one at home. If we make it back to San Antonio, we’ll make sure to stop there again. Thanks for a fun stop on our trip!

Cookie dough by the scoop!! 1 scope was enough to satisfy my sweet tooth and bring back childhood memories of tasting a spoonful of dough while grandma made cookies. Yum! 😋 Very friendly staff. I had the caramel pecan.

We had a baby shower there. The staff was great and so helpful. The brunch buffet we had was delicious. They allowed us to decorate.

Brunch was on point - I got an omelette there with some bacon and had no regrets. Would definitely come back for brunch or cookie dough another day.

Wow! Where should I start. .... it took over an hour to get our food and we had to go back to the counter and ask for it. We received eggs first and an half hour latter we asked for our pancakes and received them cold ten minutes after that. We then went back to the counter and asked for our fruit..... should have went to IHOP....... our waitress was a 5 year old she had more customer service than any of the 4 ewe dealt with.. ... first and last time......

We just had our Mother’s Day brunch here. Such a disappointment . The website on Facebook’s description for their brunch is very misleading. Talked to management and they where rude. Trying to pay and you are constantly having to move out of the way because there is seating and the kitchen where they are bringing out food. When I talked to one of their employees he said there are a lot of things on the website that are wrong they haven’t updated it in along time. We still ordered food. When I received my food it was horrible. At that point I was just done. Didn’t complain just wanted to be done and leave! I wouldn’t recommend this place for brunch. Such a disappointment!

I am a door dasher and every time I get orders to come to the store they have to decline my orders because they are missing half the stuff the person ordered…. They are usually staffed by lazy teenagers who are just on the phone all day getting paid for nothing. How is it that in 3 months I have gone 3 separate times and u guys are still out of the same stuff…

Scooped Cookie Dough Bar is amazing!! Its exactly what you think, straight cookie dough. They had around 10 flavors to try with a flavor of the day and a few other options for those who want more than just cookie dough. The little bar is in the middle of the walkway around the mall, hard to miss and hard to pass up! This offer water or milk as a drink and served us with an enthusiastic smile! Side note, for active military they offer a discount as well!

My wife surprised me with breakfast here. I ordered the country ham & peach sandwich on ciabatta. They had an option to add chipotle mayo. This recipe will be unashamedly stolen and used at home! Of course we had the pancakes, which were really good as well. Its a small place in a nice setting with really good food on top of having the cookie dough flavors.

Super simple breakfast that was quick, delicious, and very fresh! Cant recommend the Ranchero sauce enough!!

Just by seeing the reviews of this place, the owner seems to just not care about the bad ones and bad mouths the bad ones and even says an ex employee didnt do their job right, seems pretty petty, If you are an owner of a company and didnt a very good job of training your employees that fall on you, of course he agrees whole heartedly with the good ones. Doesnt seem like a place Id want to even try.

We ordered some cookie dough online for our friends birthday. It was supposed to ship in 1-3 days and it said that we would receive an email once it shipped. It has been 8 days, our cookie dough has not been shipped, we have gotten no emails and they have already charged our card. ALSO every time we get a hold of someone on the phone, they intentionally hang up on us. - fed up with their service.

Its not ice cream. Me and my friends stopped here with the impression that it was a cookie dough THEMED ice cream bar. A single scoop costs 5 bucks, and u dont really get much outta that scoop. Hell for 5 bucks I can just go buy pack of cookie dough and bake my own damn cookies.

I would not eat here. The manager lets his kids stick their hands in the cookie dough and then serves it to the public. Hes very rude to his employees, and theres mold in the Milk tap machine. Not a sanitary place to eat.

Girl clearly saw me and daughter at window. No acknowledgment for service. Sat on her iPad watching something. Guess they don’t want business.. walked away empty handed.

Yall just have to go here and get a scoop of their freshly made in-house ice cream between two of their mouth watering cookies simply because everyone should get to experience heaven without having to die first. And its big enough to share! 😂

I can now say without a doubt that cookie dough is not my thing. The product itself was fine. I got the peanut butter and my husband had the Almond Joy. His was inedibly sweet. He ended up sharing mine but even then we were only able to finish one of my 2 scoops.Obviously its not ice cream but dont expect this to be soft like cookie dough from the grocery store. Its gummier and has almost a chewy texture that gets stuck in your throat. Definitely have a drink with you because you will need it! Im glad we tried it but we wont be back.
