Small store but they have some interesting costumes & mask

Saw TREMENDOUS spot on Fox News couple of days before Halloween. OWNERS interview regarding giving back and keeping local stores afloat during pandemic REALLY resonated with me and family! Im from Rio Grande Valley and will DEFINITELY be going back for ALL OUR costume needs!

As soon as we arrived we were confronted by door man saying masks required for entry no matter if vaccinated. Rude. Do they want consumers money or not?

Wonderful costume shop! John was able to help me with a very last minute costume. My child LOVED it! The costumes are very affordable for a rental, in terrific shape, and easy to return. Will be going again for anything costume or theatre related!

Less than 24 hours before my daughter’s birthday our hired performer from a character booking service canceled last minute... I didn’t know what to do... . Took a chance and called Starline costumes in San Antonio. The character was “Yellow Baby Shark” hard to find and in very high demand... The gentleman kept my name and number and said he would have to check with the owner and they would have to take a look in their warehouse and get back to me. Shortly after I was notified that I was in luck - they had a brand new costume in their warehouse and they were willing to release it early to me and save the day. Thank you so much for helping make my daughter’s birthday a success! The costume was very professional looking and we could not have been more pleased - seeing her reaction was priceless .

A fun place to visit and a lot of neat stuff to see

We arrived from Houston for an event in San Antonio only to discover we needed some products vital to our costumes that day! We called a few other costume shops but they could not help us. Found this place - who had what we needed - through Google Maps and fell in love. This is the real deal! And the folks there are SO nice and so very knowledgeable. Thank you!!!

This place is very cool they had so many costumes and I bought mine here for only 38 or $39. The staff was very friendly and they have so much to choose from.

I was lost walking around for 20min but luckily a woman came by and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I’m also 6’2 270 and was able to find something my size that fit well and wasn’t out of my 100$ budget.

I have been renting and buying from Starline Costumes for years, and I cannot speak highly enough of this establishment. Their costumer, Dagi goes above and beyond for all of her clients and works magic to make specialized costumes come to life. I’m a theatre director and she has fitted and designed costumes for countless students over the years and they (like everyone else) love her! There is such a wide selection of costumes here (vintage and new) and the entire staff is friendly and helpful. Take my advice and go here!!

Been going to this costume shop for over 15 years & they are the best youll find here in the city of San Antonio. Everyone working at Starline has tons of knowledge about the costumes, make-up products, mask, props...etc! Not only can you buy costumes, they rent out high quality costumes as well. Yes, it isnt super cheap for most of their products in store; but if cheap is what you want they got it as well. Also, they do have some good sales sometimes & they have workshop classes every once in a blue moon. Go check this place out, you wont regret it!

My organization rented an elaborate costume from Starline for an event in spring 2013. The costume was great and customer service received from Amanda was good. Not everyone at the shop has the same great customer service, so I try to ask for Amanda when calling. We are renting from them again this spring without hesitation.

Great costumer service and they take very good care of their rentals by having everything clean and organized. I didnt find the rental I was looking for but they helped me with other costume I bought.Their competition, here in San Antonio was so rude when I called I didnt even go to their store.

BEST MASK EVER!!! Great prices on costumes, make up, wigs, and kids costumes! They also rent out costumes meaning big character costumes and they do have The Avengers, Minnie & Mickey mouse, cat in the hat and soo many more! I would totally recommend this place to anyone! Especially cause they have discounted costumes for kids as low as $5 for a costume!

Very awesome place. If you want an off the rack costume to buy the prices down stairs are fair. If you want to rent a costume from upstairs they have a decent selection to try on, good looking, great for an event or ren fest. A little pricey for the rentals because the quality is good but not amazing, maybe they should do a small refund if you return it in one piece and no problems. All in all, check it out, make an apt to try on upstairs and have fun!

I called from out of state looking for a specific product and John answered the phone. He was incredibly helpful, and quick to answer my question providing me with information on what was in stock as well as a price inquiry without having to ask for one which was AWESOME! Very excited to have found a store who carries Ben Nye banana powder! :)

I’ve been a very loyal customer for years, always rented my Halloween costume for an annual family event. And for some reason they will not rent anymore On Halloween.... after a young lady told me yes she made a trip to the back and came back with a no for no good reason. Telling me it’s something they don’t do, funny because I’ve done it for so many years!

This is such a great company! We were looking for an Easter Bunny costume for a party we were having at our Senior Center and they were very helpful and timely in their customer service. The costume was in great condition and was very clean. I would recommend using Starline Costumes for any party or event requiring a costume!

Normal costumes are found downstairs. If youre looking to rent a high quality costume its best to have an idea in mind. They wont even let you upstairs during Halloween u less you know what you want to be.

I came here to get a beast costume for my daughters cincoanera they were very helpful, only thing is theyre very strict with costume rentals. You need a credit card and not a bank card in order to rent a costume. . But besides that they employees are helpful .

Last year I needed lots of help on a costume for a large local gathering. When I first called the gentleman that help over the phone was quite helpful. When I arrived at the shop I was immediately greeted by the same gentleman. He took me upstairs where he helped me with ever detail with a costume fit for a Queen. Recently I returned, hoping to find the same level of service. Unfortunately the gentleman that had help me previously was no longer available. The ladies downstairs did not want to help and seemed very PUT OUT that I wanted to rent a costume. The last experience has convinced me that my business is not wanted or desired at this shop. If you are looking for friendly customer service, Starline Costumes is not the shop you are looking for. If you want to be talked down to and want to feel akward and unwanted than Starline is the shop for you.

Its a good place to get a costume. But the prices were too expensive. But if you really need a costume this would be a good place to go.

I was on my way to the shop and I got stuck in traffic and really needed an item from their store. I called and asked if they could please leave the store open just a little past 6 pm and to my surprise they did! Plus they were super nice about it.

The costumes are poorly made and sometimes falling apart at the seems. I had a costume, that was a perfect fit, taken in when it didnt need to be. Then my other costume had many broken pieces.

StarLight costume is very Professional, Customer Courteous company. They were amazing in helping us in putting on the production of Beauty and the Beast.
