Brown Coffee creates the best standard cup of coffee in town. Even among other coffee shops they are considered the standard of quality. The newer Southtown location is spacious and modern. Youll find lots of seating and people of all ages on laptops or chatting. Think a modern Central Perk without Smelly Cat. Street parking may be difficult but youll find it because Brown is worth it.

I love coming to Brown Coffee Co. The coffee and snacks are delicious. Definitely get their cold brew! It is full of flavor and will give you a kick you did not expect! This isnt a milkshake shop like the one with the mermaid everyone goes to. Come here for flavorful coffee and some interesting takes on it. I really enjoy their lime cold brew surprisingly. I even got a couple of bottles to take home. The last thing is the staff. They are super friendly and always happy to make a recommendation on what to get and serve you with a smile. They are amazing. Tip them well!

I love this place, and have a new appreciation for coffee shops. Theyve captured the modern, Central Perk kind of vibe. So, if thats your thing then you have to go.Also... side note, espressos arent what I expected at all and order the chocolate chip scone. Youll thank me later.

Has house-made chocolate syrup. Very good. Asked for espresso shot and was presented with options describing notes and consistencies of different options. I had the one that combines 3 single-origin coffees and it was very nice and pleasant. Served with sparing water. The mocha latte I also got was nice. Not too sweet, but still flavorful to where I could taste the coffee and the chocolate. Very pleasant experience with great, friendly and knowledgeable staff.

I just have to say that I have come to love Brown Coffee. I have spent long periods of time working from here. I am a teacher and this is the place I am most productive. It is always quiet and the staff is super friendly. I know that some times I stay for a long time, but I have to say the reason is because of the environment here. It is so chill and reminds me of grad school! Also a plus that the coffee is amazing and brewed in house.

Mind you; minimum amount for parking time is $3.But the coffee and bakery items are worth it!You can’t go wrong with any choice 👍🏻🙃

This is a super nice place to be in but the only disappointment was the guy in the front, that looks kinda bald had a bad attitude. Quote on quote, when I asked for a Chi Latte which is a typical item in a coffee shop. He said sarcastically “only have coffee and probably the Coca-Cola”. It could have been put a different way. It’s a nice place but treatment could have been better.

A nice little small business coffee shop thats peaceful to be at. The atmosphere is chill and modern with a natural vibe to it, I guess because the plants and picked out pillows. The menu may initially seem small but its what you need because even though options are great, simplicity is nice; even there add on and substitutes are small and simple. I highly recommend it! 🙂

This is a great place to meet people for social or work reasons. Theres comfy seats for reading, tables for working, big windows looking out over the shared courtyard outside, and delicious espresso to fuel whatever youre there for. There is a decent amount of street parking outside, but theres also a paid public lot immediately to the south of the building that Brown will validate tickets for.

Love this coffee shop! They are very careful to prepare and serve their drinks in whatever way brings out the best of the beans. Love that they serve espressos with stirring spoons and sparkling water. I always make a stop here when Im in San Antonio.

Brown Coffee has a really neat atmosphere and tasty coffee. I had the cold brew “neat” and it was delicious! It was served in a chilled glass so there was no ice to water it down. They had lots of outdoor seating too. A great place to check out!

Ive been coming here for the last 6 months or so. The coffee is good not great. Prices are on the higher side. Barista personality/attitude can be hit or miss. Never been blown away by the service. Menu for coffee and breakfast snacks is very limited. Im here once a week and will update this review if things change one way or the other.

A delicious 3rd (4th?) wave coffee shop, Brown delivers some of the best coffee one can get in the United States. Their beans are generally direct trade from the coffee growers, and you can get them whole or brewed how you want them.They are my first stop when I get into town, and my last before leaving again.

This place is stupendous! These people are some of the most friendly employees Ive ever come across, the merchandise is eclectic, and the atmosphere is nothing short of bright and warm! The furniture added to the coffee houses upscale environment. The quality of Brown Coffee Cos service is matched only with its food and coffee. Ill be going all the way across town just to go again! With an additionally beautiful view of the Tower of the Americas, my visit with my sisters will soon be followed by another.

Visited from out of town to remote work, and this spot was perfect. Coffee tasted so smooth, plus the environment was quieter and more spacious than other shops we visited during the trip. Great for some caffeine and productivity!

Great location, spacious, and range of seating options. There are many plants throughout, which is nice. So many outlets!! Such a great place to get work done or hang out. The coffee menu is pretty limited, but it is delicious.

I was unsure about parking, but was told you can park in the designated paid Public Parking lot next door,, and they will validate your parking after your purchase. Inside was a nice calm inviting feel, and the coffee was excellent. I will try it again in the future.

A nice quiet place to study with a coffee and a snack on any morning. They really are passionate about their coffee, and have a ton of coffee making paraphernalia to satisfy the many many ways people enjoy their coffee these days. Fantastic beans, as well. I enjoyed my dirty cold brew, which was their cold brew sweetened and creamed. The fresh blueberry muffin was enjoyable as well, and the other farm to table snacks were tempting.

Great little shop we found on Google. Very tasty food and the coffee was perfect especially for National Coffee Day. Will visit here again.

That’s a Cortave and whats left of my old skool cinnamon roll from Cinnaholic in Southtown. The Cortave was smooth and delicious and will definitely be returning to Brown Coffee Co.Yes, Cinnaholic rolls are always soft, fluffy and fresh.

Tasty coffee! In my opinion, the prices are a bit inflated and the aesthetic large ice cube they put in the iced coffees makes it difficult to drink with a straw. Nevertheless, I’ll still make intermittent visits to Brown. Definitely a cute spot!

On vacation here in San Antonio and came around twice because it was so good. The coffee was very good and is real house-roasted coffee. The shop has great indoor and outdoor seating as well.

The wife and I wanted to try Cinnaholic, which we did, but we were drawn inside this coffee shop (it was also advertised next door). Little did we know we were going to be treated with such great customer service. We walked in and we were not sure what to get at first, but the barista helped us choose something that we would individually like which was extremely helpful and something you rarely come across in the food service industry.With a beautiful open concept and great seating, this place was great for us and our 5 month old.Highly recommend!!

Good coffee and service, but now that theyve put in pay-to-park, Ill probably only go back if street parking is available. It validates if you stay less than just 90 minutes, and then I had to wait ten minutes to get out of the parking lot because the machine malfunctioned. Its too bad that whoever owns the land has decided to milk cash out of the parking. There are other coffee shops downtown that dont have the same hassle, and Ill be going to them as my first stop from now on.

Nice and clean coffee shop. A little pricey compared to other spots around town. Shots of espresso were pulled with medium roast beans. I could taste the fruity notes in it, but prefer a darker roast bean for espresso. I was told they don’t ever use dark roast for any espresso or coffee drinks.Overall, if you are looking for a quiet place to sit and study, and don’t mind the higher prices than this is the spot for you.

They have ice, milk, and espresso but no iced latte. Got a hot latte and was good. Few items on menu and only have simple sugar and chocolate as flavorings. Good atmosphere and lots of space.

This San Antonio coffee mainstay in Southtown is always worth the trip. Tuesday is roast day and the beans come from all over the world to be prepared and brewed. My last visit, the coffee was prepared via a pourover flask which is performance art itself, and the Brazilian beans promising hints of tobacco did not disappoint. (An olfactory hit of my dads stogies i remember growing up.) Nice digs. Jalapeño kolaches that wake you up even more. Outside seating available. And parking validating for the adjacent lot. Your coffee buds will thank you.

Tasty “dirty” cold brews, strong and will keep you up all night! This is an great new spot to work out of with plenty of seating. My one peeve is the massive ice cube that takes up the whole cup, hence having less coffee. But still keeps me coming back for more.
