They have it all here. Good selection with anything you need. Conveniently had a sewing shop inside so you can get tapes sewn on any new uniforms you buy right there. They do a solid job.

They have uniform items and can do alterations, but its best if you leave it at that. My uniform came back quickly after being altered and presses, and I found out why AFTER I got it home. DO NOT take Navy uniforms here to get pressed because they may NOT be done correctly, and then youll be at home ironing your uniforms yourself anyway.

This location has had everything Ive required each time Ive visited. I can say with complete surety that Im satisfied with the service of the employees (they helped me get new Physical Training uniforms), and that this setting is both convenient and well maintained.

Has only some pieces for uniform, so youll have to go to a different location anyway and requires ID to buy shoe polish. Great place to waste your time and not much else.

Staff can be more friendlier, remember your there for soldiers and family members not the other way around..

This review concerns the alteration shop within the store (not the clothing and sales team who provide outstanding service). Some alterations for my new AGSU were poor quality. Coat: one arm patch not straight. Two pair pants: hem on one not sewn straight, hem on other 2 inches too long. Had to be corrected and still not right. Taking my uniform to off-post location for corrections.

I like it becaise you can find everytjing you need for your uniforms. But they are expensive...

Typical military service. Civilians who couldn’t care less about you and happy to make things as inconvenient as possible. Basically CIF but at least you can buy the gear outright instead of just being handed a statement of charges on the back end for stuff that hasn’t even been pulled out of its packaging. Everything is ridiculously over priced. If you have any sense or don’t need something immediately, buy from a third party. They will always have better quality and customer service than anything the US government can furnish.

Had name tags and patches sewn on...good work, was ready when promised.

Don’t use the Alterations shop. Bought a new uniform, and they damaged it then told me I had given it to them that way. When I said I’d never use them again they acted like they couldn’t care less since they’re the only game on base for the students. Avoid if at all possible!

What’s the good reason not to work on mondays? Sewing patches also takes them 2-3 days which is exaggerated. It typically takes 5 minutes to sew a patch.

Closed on Mondays, of all days of the week. Why they thought that was a good idea, who knows. Also, theres barely anything for Navy. Theres tons of Navy in this area, and for some reason, both this location and Lackland location barely have anything for the Navy.

The AC hasnt worked properly in years, prepare to sweat, but remember you are only there a short time. Great staff/management.

This is easily the most limited and lightly stocked Clothing and Sales stores I have ever had to endure but this entire post is a bit lacking in general when compared to other military posts like Ft Hood, Bragg, Knox etc so be ready to adjust your expectations.The employees are great, Ive never had an issue with them at all. The store, however, is closed on Mondays which can be an annoyance as well. Adapt and overcome, I guess!

The dry cleaning section has young girls that have poor customer service, feel fake and sometimes rude. The cleaning is just passable. And they dont have proper tools to help measure or hem. It feels so inexperienced. I rather go off base to Kims to get dry cleaned and have a pleasant experience and service. Overall, they are subpar. Fine for a quick pinch, but not for quality when it matters.

They usually have what you need, but theyre used to ripping off the AIT Soldiers. Their prices are a little steep and you better check to make sure the version of what youre buying is the real one and not some generic. You sometimes see the generic version of the item and the real version next to each other for the same price.

Went in here a few times over the course of a couple weeks looking for new winter PTS. They only carry extremely large and small sizes. When I was finally able to ask an employee about it I was told they were back-ordered but out of stock. I then went online and ordered them and they were in stock. That suggests to me that these folks are too lazy or too incompetent to order what they should. I dont expect much from the Exchange services but this place is particularly bad.

Better than Ranger Joes in Ft. Benning. Even has a big selection of Navy and Air Force stuff. Tailor shop is attached.

Gave them patchs to put on my uniforms and they randomly folded it over taking away a rank on both my dress uniforms. Now I gotta pay to get it fixed somewhere else because their seamstresses dont work weekends and are closed Monday.

After chilling out at this fashionably luxurious clothing outlet that we marched two miles for not even needing to exchange clothes, lounging all while waiting for our great company to do what they needed. Three hours of priceless soldier to soldier bonding and spiritual renewal.

Can usually find the things hubby needs, however the female employees are very rude to other females! I witnessed 2 female employees help 1 soldier checkout with 1 item, meanwhile I was waiting to ask a question.....I really enjoyed their conversation with the male soldier about the width of his neck and his awesome haircut. They both said have a great day with huge smiles and puppy dog eyes once he was finished with checkout, yet they looked at me like I didnt belong when I asked about a ribbon that I needed to purchase. To top it off she threw my bag of items on the counter while I was paying, no smile and no have a great day.

They sell military clothing, on a military base. Pretty run of the mill; boots, military-related books, uniforms and all the brass you need on your dress uniforms. They have a small selection of tactical gear and this is the only place on base that *reliably* stocks the bladders for the US Army issued Camelback. They also have a small add-on area where uniform repair and additions can be commissioned.

This is hands down the friendliest most helpful staff at any AAFES location Ive been to. They were so helpful it was almost overwhelming. The management team is doing a great job.

It may be decent if youre a soldier or airman. Even sailors can find some product here. Marines are very poorly supplied here. Rank for cammies for enlisted and the same for a few enlisted ranks for blues and charlies are about all thats available.

The girl working the front desk at the alteration shop next door is horrible and straight up rude. She wants to be a smart ass but doesnt know how to comprehend orders when we repeat it several times and then blames the customer when we correct her. Ive explained it to her at least five times what needed to be altered and dry cleaned and then coped an attitude when I had to keep explaining it.The managers need to monitor who they hire. If you dont like working customer service then get a new job.

I had to deliver at building 4188 great folks easy parking blind side and sight side. Commercial vehicles entrance is off exit 160 att center youll see it its by all the armoured vehicles. I unfortunately went in the regular gate and got scolded by the police officerat the gate. Other than that easy delivery wont remove any stars for my mistake. Good thing was it was early and was able to get turned around.

I came for a conference and forgot all of my ribbons and warfare pins(Navy), was able to go there and they had everything I need. You might have to hit up other sections to find certain ribbons I.E. Iraq campaign and AFEM, but they are there. My inly gripe is that they were closed on Monday!!! This would be ok if there was basic Navy uniform parts in another store thats open on Mondays.

The staff selling products are friendly, but I can’t say as much about the staff running the cleaners section. I came back and requested my Army Service Uniform back early because I needed it for this last second promotion board my command sprung on me. She said they had it but it’s probably in this bin which has all their customers clothes in it that has yet to be washed. It was obviously an inconvenience for her to look through it, which is why I offered to help. She declined and started looking through the bin while giving me attitude about how, “This is why we tell you we need a week to clean it. I don’t understand how you people in the military don’t understand that and then comeback saying you need it back.” I respectfully told her “I understand that but my command just sprung something on me last second that I didn’t know about, after I gave it to you. It’s just military stuff ya know.” In which she responded “Yeah okay, whatever.” At that point someone else in their department came forward to handle the situation a little better and everything was resolved. I don’t know what was going on with the first girl, but I’d expect employees that work at a military facility, on a military base, for military personnel to be a little bit more professional and understanding. I won’t be taking my clothes to this cleaners anymore.

They had the thermal underwear I was looking for at a good price. No taxes either. Place was full of people from all the branches. A little cramped but they had a bit of everything.

Carries mainly army and airforce uniform. Sometimes they run out of navy stock. So contact them to find out if they have what you need before hand. On general, its a good facility.

Many small items like patches and decorations are frequently out of stock. Young looking cashiers that have no military experience whatsoever tend to get lost answering questions about some decorations. Shelves with OCP and PT uniform are messy and out of stock if you come there in the afternoon

Definitely has everything for the soldier but not tailored for Air Force members. All accouterments are spread throughout the store making it difficult to find. Wouldve gave them a 5th star but the fact the store couldnt co-locate a particular service in 1 area is complacent. On a brighter note, the staff is friendly the gear is plentiful and the book selection is great. I appreciate what AAFES does for the warfighter.

Its a clothing store! Looks like it has a pretty good selection of goods. Theres an alterations shop in there of course. Nothing really too special there.

I use the dry cleaning section for my uniform and they are better and very affordable than most.

Brought in three pairs of ACUs to their alterations to have the name and u.s. army tapes sewn on. They sewed them on backwards. Didn’t notice till I hung them up the next day in my closet. I brought them back the next day. I didn’t have the receipt but I brought my bank statement for proof. There was a short mexican lady working customer service. Even with my bank statement she denied I had the work order done there. She called her manager after I wouldn’t leave the shop until it was fixed. She was incredibly rude and needs to be fired immediately.

More than 4 stars, but less than 5... its a fairly small clothing sales, but have a great selection of ribbons, awards, medals, unit insignia, & uniforms... the sell out quickly on boots but a good selection.T-shirts- example - 100%poly, 50-50 cotton/poly, FRC, & 100% cotton t-shirts... Dri-Dukes web site has products $3 more for 3 packs...Basically, making this the only component of AAFES - aside from class 6 ;) - Thai isnt necessarily screwing soldiers.

If I had more extra $$ I would spend a lot of it here. So many things that I would like to buy here but not enough $$.

Super unorganized for ordering stuff. Came in and because they had inventory coming up so they didnt want to keep a lot on hand. I come back to get it, they tell me I need a certain piece of paper. I go get it, oh wait you also need this other piece. But they wont help you after 4 for certain things. I asked the cashier where the manager was and she said wth a customer. The guy that came up to help me was the guy that I just saw two minutes ago outside smoking. It is with the drive to lackland if you actually need help with something.

This store is mainly military clothing. Retired soldiers are not allowed to purchase certain item mainly dealing with combat equipment. There is no need for retired personnel to purchase these items.

Horrible customer service. The employees are incredibly rude and unorganized. I brought in a PT vest in to be labeled with my name and rank. Simple enough job, right? NOPE. The front label didnt lay flat and puckered up due to either lack of skill, laziness, or a combination of both. I paid for everything in advance. Fast forward to pick-up day, they said that it wouldnt be done and to return the next day. I returned the next day, but forgot my receipt to show that I already paid. I didnt think it would be an issue because I figured they would have my payment on file or some sort of way to track the items theyre working on. The employee who swiped my credit card when I paid in advance was now the same employee charging me more money saying that according to their receipts, I hadnt paid yet. There was a line forming behind me, so I told her that I would return with both receipts IOT receive my refund. When I returned today, of course that employee wasnt there. The customer in front of me was from out of town and was begging for them to sew on a shoulder patch for his ASU that he needed for a funeral tomorrow morning. He asked politely if they could direct him to another alterations place and they said they didnt know of any nearby. How can you not know about Kims?! Unbelievable! I ended up giving this gentlemen directions to Kims. When I tried to get my refund with my 2 receipts, they refused and were trying to act as if I was making this entire thing up. When they realized that I wasnt going to budge, they finally decided to do the right thing and give me a refund. Of course she had to make one last comment as I was leaving, This wouldnt have been an issue if you had brought your receipt in the first time. Upon returning to the office, I mentioned this hot mess of a situation to my co-workers who told me that theyve had their ASUs messed up here before and have experienced the same poor customer service. We will all take our business elsewhere.
