Whoa! The chocolate gives you exactly what the first part of the word sounds like, “a shock!” The flavor and different varieties of chocolates makes me leave this place with more than one box of chocolate. This is a must stop by if you’re in the downtown area. Their “shakolad” makes every occasion whether buying a gift for a friend or personally indulging, I prefer the second one.

Hubbs and I did the private class through Groupon. We were educated on the basics of chocolate making and got to make our own take-home treats.Both ladies were very nice, and we got a great experience.

Somebody needs to update their hours. Came here at 3 o’clock, hoping to buy a bunch of chocolate, only to find the store closed.

Very good chocolates. They dip the strawberries upon request so it was a bit of a wait but worth it. They were delicious. We also got some of the truffles they had, all really good. I dont think you can go wrong with a little place like this.

I went here for my annual Christmas gathering for work. This was such a fun place to tour and learn about chocolate making. The chocolate was amazing. The staff here was very friendly and informative about how they design their chocolate. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a activity for a small group

My girlfriend spotted this place and made us walk in. And my goodness was that a good decision. The gelato is delicious, and the service was fantastic! I will definitely be coming here for all my future-chocolate needs. Come pay a visit!

Absolutely delicious chocolate! My son and I had the privilege of going to this place, on a field trip. I enjoyed my first visit here. Staff is informative, cheerful and accommodating. Looking forward to going again soon.

They have extremely odd hours. I spent 4 days just a block away and was never able to make it when they were open. It had been high on my to-do list and was disappointed that I couldn’t visit

Im not a huge sweets fan, but this place is AWESOME!. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff that explain everything to you. Very forthcoming with the samples too.They have TONS of chocolate candies to offer and also 5 or 6 gelato flavors.We bought a chocolate turtle, chocolate covered smore, chocolate covered nutter butter (yes, you read that right!), a chocolate dipped oreo, and two scoops of their gelato.This place is literally located across the street from Paris Hatters if you know where that is.Im not knocking them a star for this but be aware they only have one table and two lounge chairs if you want to hang out there and the pinche tourists usually squat on those for hours lol!I was really impressed with the fact that their young staff had so much knowledge about all the products - you can ask them ANYTHING.They also have many custom crafted chocolate designs, etc. for gifts - for Easter, graduations, etc.You must check this place out!

My husband found this little gem one day while on a delivery for work. It is by far my favorite place to get chocolate. I love their pecan milk chocolate candies. They are always friendly and well stocked.

Nice chocolate shop in downtown San Antonio. I only tried one thing, a dark chocolate turtle, but it was good enough to go back for more. The chocolate was very nice and smooth and the caramel was excellent. I wouldnt have minded a bit more pecans, but the quality of the candy was excellent.

My wife saw Schakolad when we were walking down the street and wanted to visit the shop before we left from our vacation. We stopped by around 4:30 in the afternoon.It is a neat shop, there are some machines upfront that are making chocolate which is enticing.My wife bought a few pieces of chocolate and enjoyed them. It was a tad pricey but, these were premium chocolates and not store bought candy.The girl that helped us was very helpful and offered us some samples to try!

It was the sweetest little place I have ever been in. I never leave reviews on anything, but I absolutely adore the exquisite taste of the chocolate they make in store. You can see how and where they make the chocolate, and its so mesmerizing. The gelato is absolutely delicious; so incredibly soft and melty. The chocolate has this unique taste that is just incredibly good, comparable to Willy Wonka himself. The workers are so sweet, and the vibe of the whole place is really relaxing. And you can ask for samples of everything.

My family and I had an amazing experience at Schakolad. If you have not taken advantage of their Chocolate Class, I highly recommend you consider it. This is a great idea for a date or taking the entire family.In addition, I purchased 100 2 oz chocolate business cards with our logo and they came out perfect. This was the yummiest chocolate factory and the ladies were so very very nice!!! Tried the whole counter and loved it! The milk toffee was the butteriest I’ve ever had. And my husband liked the white wasabi.

Went to a chocolate making class thanks to a Groupon and it was so great! They have a great set up there and the woman working there was very nice and patient with everyone. The place is very clean and the chocolate is delicious. Loved it and will definitely be back and refer people to the class

I was walking by and saw this place and I had to stop in! The lady was so sweet and very informative. I only got a four piece because I wasn’t sure if it was going to be good now I regret not buying more!!!

This was my first time here. Was immediately and warmly greeted upon entering. Owner (forgot to ask her name) gave me a sample of their amaretto ganache right of the bat. I asked a few questions and got an 8-piece for $9 (I thought the price reasonable). Every piece was good. I would have loved for there to be some spicy choices but I don’t think they do that. Since I’m not a local, I’m not sure that suggestion is particularly useful for them. Would definitely go again.
