There is a great variety of wigs, hair products as well as crochet and braiding hair. However, their customer service sucks. They did not greet us when we came in or asked if we needed assistance. Other than that, it’s a pretty solid beauty supply store.

My wife went to find some items, and she was ignored by the person at the store, not until our friend asked if she was going to attend to her was she even approached and then she was treated very rudely by the attending employee. She will never go back service was lacking professional expertise. Being rude to anyone specially a potential client. We will be telling all our friends and family not to go to this place.

I think its ridiculous that you cant try on the wigs. I had to go to a different company to buy my wigs because there is no reason at this time to still be stopping people from trying on something they cant return and cant tell whether theyll like it. I have been waiting a year and a half and we still cant try the wigs on this will leave people from not coming to your store Im being very unhappy with what they bought because you want us to continue to buy blind.

Typically has everything Im looking for. Staff also helpful as usual. My go to for hair needs.

Hummmm...what can I say, nicely? They did not have very many actually hair care products. Especially what I was looking for. Its more of a weeve store. I waited a long time for some customer service ( some acknowledgement) but no not even a may I help you

Loved the energy in the store! The staff was very helpful, Bri knew anything you asked, she was very informational about the difference in the types of hair I was inquiring about. I will be returning next week, and as long as I am living in San Antonio this is my go to store!

When I found out that Black Fox was going to be in the neighborhood I was excited. I didnt have to drive to the east side for beauty supply. In the past couple of year this this location has been a disappointment. When I go inside (which I dont do often)the shelves has less and less items. It seem like the store is going out of business, but there are boxes and boxes on the floor could this be things that need to be stock. It is not worth to go in anymore.

Not many hair colors to choose from beyond black brown and black grey. No ombre colors no fun fashion color, I found a overstretched dark purple, plum but I was underwhelmed especially since I drove 45minutes to check this place out. Lots of eyelashes but from companies I never heard of. They were wearing masks which was nice. Parklimg.lot co fusing when coming I pulled into the wrong on and had to walk and jump over a little separation thing to get here. Wigs are nice and in fashion colors.

Usually a fully stocked store,but supplies were extremely low today,probably because of everything to do with the covid.However,the store was extremely clean and there was even hand sanitizer provided by the front door.

They have a nice selection of things but the employees aren’t much help.

I’m new to this side of town & I was looking for a place that carried the beauty supplies that I like to use. They carry wigs, extensions, hair for braiding, lashes & makeup, nose rings and jewelry 🤩 the store itself is a little small but is VERY well organized & clean. I’m so glad I found this place & I will most definitely be returning! 🙌

I dont like this place. The first time I went in, there was a short lady working. She never spoke and didnt offer to help even after she walked right in front of me to put something away. I ended up not buying anything. The second and last time I went in with my daughter. Again the same lady did not speak or offer help. After getting the hair I wanted I went to the counter. She then asks me if the hair was for one person ( I was buying 10 packs). I told her yes, then she asked if I always buy this many. Her questions wouldnt have been so bad had she first spoke and then offered to help and on top of that the delivery of her question was totally off. Her attitude needs to be fixed and customer service training should be a must, especially for her.

The women here are so knowledgeable and patient. I came in yesterday and bought a synthetic wig, I enjoyed it so much that I went back today and bought a human hair wig! I’ve never purchased a wig from a store and I had a million questions and they were very helpful and again patient with me. So excited for my wig journey. Kind of thinking about shaving my head and starting fresh,eeeek. First picture is human hair the second is synthetic.

Aerial is amazing. I am new to TX and haven’t been about to find anyone to do my hair yet so I’ve been trying to do it myself. I am NOT good at it at all(smh) but Aerial has been GOD-SENT in helping find what I need and she’s VERY knowledgeable about the products.Everyone is nice but she’s been the best to ME!! 🙂

But that ditch right next to the building is a hazard. A lawsuit waiting to happen. I didnt see it and I jumped the curb in my maroon Jeep and got stuck. You would think that a Jeep could handle a curb but it cant. Dont be fooled.

The place was clean but I asked the manager employee if they had licensed discounts and she said yes. When checking out, we were only given military (5%) discount when I was supposed to receive 10%.

I found everything that I needed.

Found a beautiful laced wig for great prices.

Im in the military and I will say this establishment was very clean and professional. Jessica(a store clerk Im assuming) was very nice and knowledgeable on what me and my girlfriend needed. Jessica was also SUPER CHILL( yes I know I said chill because she can relate to the younger generation such as myself and my girlfriend. Jessica also was very kind to every customer that came in there and took very good care of them. As a African American this store has all of our (people of African descent.) needs. I HIGHLY recommend this place and may God bless this place to grow and flourish.

The workers are very helpful. Theres one that works there who is a short young lady and is very knowledgeable about natural hair products. She has helped me often and all products she recommended were awesome. ( The knot away and detangeling brush)

Super nice store. If theres something you need I recommend asking the staff as they are very helpful and knowledgeable. Large selection of products for kinky, curly or relaxed. They also have a reward program and offer a military discount.

It was a wonderful experience. I took my daughter in the potranco store to select hair. They were very helpful. As a white woman with a African American daughter, I would have been very intimidated. They helped her choose what she wanted and she is a very happy girl. She will be even happier when the hair gets put in!

The store is cute, organized, & has friendly staff. I love the interactions I have each time I visit this Potranco (or Ingram location); staff are knowledgeable & funny. Seems like they are Always stocked when I come. I have had to do an exchange & had no issue, Also had to do a return before & had no issue. My favorite go to store for my hair care products. Awesome beauty supply store on the Northwest side. All races welcome. You dont have to go to the busy side of town or ghetto just to get great products. They have everything and more here. High quality items with really good prices... I prefer shopping here rather than Sally Beauty Supply. Before I found Black Fox Beauty Id order all of my extra special and unique items from online. Now this is my spot, more than your basic stuff. Me and my daughters always stop through on our girls day out. Everything from beard pomade for men, jewelry, nail products, cosmetics, shampoo, conditioners, moisturizers, barretts, clips, rollers, brushes, texturizers, hot oil treatments, silk head wraps, shower caps, all kinds of beauty tools, the list goes on. And the customer service is excellent, always helpful and kind.Thank You! 💕

Clean and organized store. For myself it was like I entered heaven. However, staff not welcoming nor helpful. Wasnt acknowledged when I came in and I was the only one there. As well when I was purchasing I had a question. My question was answered and we were finishing up the transaction but I felt ignored for another customer. My receipt wasnt handed to me. Just left on the counter so I had to make the assumption it belonged to me. I wouldve given it 5 stars if the customer service was better.

There is always an employee around to offer you help looking for what you need. Even if it takes time. They are very patient with me and I love shopping here.

I’m hoping this is a new location because their prices were high and stock was skim. I ended up going to another beauty supply store. Because this location was lacking a lot of essential products.

The staff doesnt know the inventory! Thats hilarious. I asked a young lady if they had a certain product and she emphatically said we dont carry that without even looking. I found the item basically 3 minutes later. I looked once and didnt see it. After I asked her, on a hunch I decided to look again and low and behold...it was there even though I had been told we dont carry that.I love shppping for hair care products and will continue, but its poor customer service that will encourage me to choose another location to frequent. This store has very nice items, and very clean. The ladies that work there are very rude and uptight. The won’t speak when you walk in and they won’t ask if you need help. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

They never have anything you need only general items youll find in other non beauty supply stores. The employees, all with the exception of two ladies Ariel I dont know the other young ladys name, gave really bad attitudes. Rolling eyes and things of that nature when youve said thank you on the way out! On this day theres a stalking feeling from one of the females even though there was a Hispanic couple pocketing makeup products near the door. Ridiculous! Where I understand the need to make sure products are not stolen they need to be taught to recognize the true threat and not just pick a person or a group and target them. Save for Ariel being an employee, I would never go back, even for products I know are reasonably priced elsewhere! We wont be frequenting as often as we have been I can guarantee that!

Cool lil shop, went and grabbed a mirror, a lil soft brush, and a satin wrap cap. (Don’t judge me) They work better than durags and really get them waves rushing like the pacific. And they opened the package so I could make sure it was what I needed.

This store is all I know, for 5 years since I moved to SA, They have nice items but limited selection. I can never find what I want and always end up settling, they never know when they are going to restock and im just over it. I found USA Beauty by recommendation from family who told me a long time ago Im wasting my time at Black Fox. I went to USA beauty today out of desperation because both BF locations on ingram and potranco were out of the hair I needed to finish my wig. Needless to say, I feel like a fool, USA has more hair than I know what to do with, I didnt find my exact choice but my pick was pretty damn close! never coming back to BF. EVER!!! Im So happy :D

I want to give this place a zero! I went in to the store with my 2 children. As I was ready to pay my 4 year old told me he needed to use the bathroom. Again I had 2 small children with me. A 13 month and a 4 year old. I asked if I could use the bathroom and was turned away. I will never ever be back. And I Ill never recommend this place to anyone I knowkni dont know how you can do a child like that. Im an adult and I can control my self, but a child, come on!
