The Crescent making class has plenty of room for improvement. The dough that was given to us was OLD the instructor said it was made by some else in a different class then frozen and dated Dec 20, 2020. It was frozen over a month. From the beginning the dough looks old dry and a dark tint. I could understand if it was made by the chef but another customer. Needless to say the finished product was horrible. It looked like most of butter came out of rolls. (see the pics). Im not a professional cook but it didnt not look as it should. The Crescent were not edible. We didnt discover how bad they were until we left the building because the chef said that .... because of Covid19 no one can eat in the kitchen. They should also implement regulations on someone else with unknown conditions to make dough for others.I expected more. The Crescent were trashed.
Awesome RJ was awesome. I love this store!
The instructor was too fast and not watching what we were doing. It was very hard to keep up, and our food wasn’t great. You could see everyone was lost or had burnt food. Super bummed about having to take the food home to continue cooking the meal, not too sure what we paid for. Had a hard time finishing the meal and had to give up. Definitely didn’t think we would be on our own this much.
Took a class with Chef Frank was such a great and patient instructor. He was very animated and made the time fly by while being extremely informative.
Excellent service. There are many things you can’t do without.
First and foremost classes should be labeled as “Beginner”, well at least the Taste of Thai class should be. The description of the class should be more upfront about how little cooking you will actually be doing. Most the items were already cut or already put in a pot cooking. Also everyone should know that you’ll be cooking in groups of 4 and 2 people will share a cutting board. If you know anything about cooking that doesn’t comply with the instructor, it’s wrong.
The baking classes are amazing
The cooking class was fun and insightful. I would have loved to learn more about techniques and reasons for ingredient choices. I would have preferred to have been hands-on cooking for every item and course. Instead, our team had to split the cooking duties.I also would liked to have our own appetizer instead of sharing meals/appetizers.
Store is absolutely beautiful however the staff needs some better training in customer service. Walked in and not a single worker greeted me. I wandered aimlessly lost looking for some particular baking items as I’ve never been in the store before. Not one worker asked if they could help me. I was fully capable of asking for help of course but what if I was a customer who hates asking for help? As someone who works in Customer service, I waited to see what happened. Never spoken to once even after workers walked by me. I finally found what I needed (I was seriously lost with all the items in the store and didn’t know the name of the item I was looking for). When I checked out the girl (curly hair, glasses? I think) wasn’t very friendly once I told her I found everything i needed after aimlessly wandering the store. I was very disappointed. I like the store and all it’s glory but I’m giving this 3 stars for poor customer service.
1st ever cooking class with Frank T was awesome! Such a fun environment and had a great time overall! Highly recommend!
We enjoyed the cooking class! The kitchen staff were all wonderful--and our instructor Gina was so knowledgeable, helpful and sweet! The food was fresh and delicious...we were just sad we werent allowed to take our chinese take-out as take-out (esp since we paid to make it and eat it). So much fresh food (from all groups) gone to waste...which is why I chose to give only 4 stars.
We had a great time at the cooking class. Wonderful new techniques and strategies to cooking a great three course meal. Store was clean and organized and staff was super friendly and helpful!
Take your business elsewhere! I purchased a product from the Sur la Table at the Rim in SA, once I got it home, and after reading the directions I was unsure of the proper operation and if a part was missing. I returned to the store for clarification and was met with the most condescending, rude and unhelpful manager! Even the young salesgirl was apologetic. No reason for them to get my money so I returned it! I will never set foot in the store again and suggest you to do the same. There are plenty of other places to get the product they have in the store.
I needed some kitchen supplies and tools and i really didnt know what to expect but I was notheless impressed by the store. It was my first time going in wont be the last thats for sure! Korrine was definitely super helpful easygoing, and awesome! She for sure knew what she was talking about and managed to help me out pick up a new chef knife and tools.

Friendly personnel, wide variety, quality merchandise. No loud music, yay! I could actually think in this store! Roomy. Colorful. Everything for the chef, hobby cook, or culinary enthusiast. Has a cooking school kitchen on-site, too!
The cashier was EXTREMELY RUDE! Came to the store to check their coffee machine! She did not even bother asking what we need! It was RUDE!!!! i decided not to come back and buy somewhere else! And guess what.. when were about to leave, my husband said “have a good evening” and she did even say anything. OMG!!! SUR LA table! THAT WAS EXTREMELY RUDE!!!!!!
I like Sur la table customer service in general. But Korriene was super helpful and friendly! Probably one of the best customer service experiences I had! She was very helpful, she spent a long time explaining to us about espresso machines with a genuine smile on her face. Thank you Korriene!
Super helpful staff and a wonderful selection of knives!
I love this place. Its amazing and so much fun. The chefs are brilliant and the kitchen is a dream.
People! Please please please do not buy anything here! Every single thing is marked up ridiculously. Go to a restaurant supply store instead. They have restaurant quality items for a fraction of the price. If you dont have one near you, just go on amazon. They are robbing you blind.
Ordered a coffee maker in store because they made a mistake and instead of giving me a refund for an item I had purched as a gift and needed to return, they gave me a store gift card. At that point I had to purchase something, so I found a $200ish Nespresso coffee machine and called the store to make sure they had the machine I wanted. The guy on the phone was terribly rude but at that point I had to spend the gift card or be out $65. So I drove to the store for help ordering and making sure I bought the correct one (they have a bunch of options). I was told the coffee machine would be to me by Friday. Friday came and went, no machine. I called customer service and found out It was actually on back order which I wasnt told and my receipt did not reflect. Customer service basically said sorry but nothing we can do.Finally!! My machine arrived today after 32 days of waiting! (Not an exaggeration)It was the wrong one. Didnt have the milk frother that was supposed to be attached. I called customer service to let them know the entire story and the rep didnt seem to care one bit. She didnt even offer an Im sorry for the laundry list of mistakes several different Associates had made or that the machine was not what I had picked out in the store, or the fact that I had coffee pods on my counter for 32 days that I couldnt even use etc. She also told me to go online to look at the 2 different milk frothers available so I could pick one to buy. I asked her the differences between the two and she was just throwing out guesses instead of bothering herself to find out. Then she lied and said the difference was that one of them had a black thing at the bottom that keeps the milk warm which I found out from Nespresso, is COMPLETELY FALSE. Incredibly frustrating.I called Nespresso directly and received EXCEPTIONAL customer service from them! I strongly recommend going directly to Nespresso if you need any assistance. Sur la table doesnt even sell the coffee that goes with the machines.Bottom line, the customer service here is terrible, the Associates know NOTHING about the products they sell, and they DO NOT care about their customers. I will never give them my business again.
Store is absolutely amazing. Customer service is lacking in a huge way. When paying, the girl seemed bothered and was very rude. Even my 3 yr old said, “she has mad face mommy.”
With the prices they charge it would seem like they could afford to tip if someone were to provide them with a service. What do I know though..?
Such butiful kitchen items no loud music and good namebrads like kitchen aid and willton
Beautifully over priced! Exquisitely marked up! Totally impractical...unless your monthly salary is $20,000+.
One of the great stores for foodies! Their cooking classes are great fun.
Tons of crazy, awesome kitchen stuff and I love the class I took on how to use a knife properly. :)
I like that place
Any kitchen gadgets you can think of, they have it.
Love the place and service
Excellent, always have what I need and looking for ....
Good selection of cookware
Fun cooking classes
Not friendly!
Lots of expensive kitchen stuff
Excellent place to find all kinds of kitchen items!
There is everything, but it is a bit expensive. But when you are looking for a very specific utensil it is the place, because it handles a wide range of gadgets that are really of good quality. The staff was attentive and the service really makes you feel good when you are one of those people who enjoys cooking.
