So disappointing…I purchase a used car, on the condition that World Car would replace the timing belt. 14 months later, timing belt trouble, World Car will not repair the timing belt except at full cost. So, my own mechanic fixed it and noted the tensioner had failed — BECAUSE IT WAS NEVER REPLACED AT WORLD CAR. World Car says I have no evidence, since I did not have it repaired at World Car — THE VERY PEOPLE WHO SAVED THEMSELVES A COUPLE OF DOLLARS BY NOT REPLACING THE TENSIONER.So:World Car refuses to make good on the repair, and then denies that the tensioner was not replaced because it was not repaired by the same people who would not own up to the timing belt THEY INSTALLED failing after 14 months.
