Long review alert 🚨 HIGHLIGHT: Female friendly auto repair shop!!! Because yes, it matters.Mom, I hit a dip in the road and the cars making noise...Your dad isnt back in town yet, but he said to take it to Cambridge Auto.Say less. Typically my dad does most of the work/maintenance on the car. So if he says to take it to a specific place, thats what you do. Its not close to where we live, but dad said the work is worth the drive. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. As a woman, taking my car into a mechanic can be extremely daunting. Most places will try to rip you off just because they assume women dont know any better. This place was not like that at all. I honestly cant say enough good things. I had my kids with me so the cleanliness of the restroom and waiting area was extremely impressive and APPRECIATED. My kids honestly had a blast looking at the car encyclopedia and at the cool stuff around the walls. Hopefully their squeals and giggles werent too much of a bother, but the staff was very pleasant and offered snacks and water for them while we waited. The repair itself took roughly 30 minutes. He even showed me the issue, how they fixed it, and things Ill need to get taken care of both ASAP and further down the line. I was so impressed I had to make a post about them in one of my FB groups. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. If I could give them 100 stars, I would. They made an otherwise uncomfortable experience, painless. Pricing is VERY fair and service is phenomenal. Ill literally drop their name anytime someone asks about an auto repair shop. Huge shout out the every staff member over there! Thank you so so much for making sure my kiddos and I were taken care of!

Never been to this establishment it looked very clean and organized so I thought Id give them a try. Big mistake. I went inside and told them if they could check to see what was wrong with my tire as I had a flat. I brought the tire in another vehicle that I have. They told me sure that they would check it but, for me to wait outside. Well I waited and waited so I just left. Nobody never came outside to help me. Id have more respect for the guy at the counter if he told me to get the hell out of here.

After going through three voltage regulators and frying a battery, I took my 1973 Plymouth Duster to Cambridge Auto Center. My alternator was overcharging my battery. I heard about Cambridge over the radio and how they work on vintage cars.I made the right decision. I was greeted at the front office by Lily. Lily was attentive to my concerns and she relayed this to the technician/mechanic Joshua. I met with the owner Terry who was also very attentive to my concerns. Terry explained the work that was done and he had no problems with me wanting to have a new part; voltage gauge, installed last minute.Although I did not meet him, major kudos go to the mechanic, Joshua Osborne. It’s a major relief to know a service garage has mechanic(s) with the knowledge, skills and ability to work on vintage cars. He did a great job fixing my Duster. I now drive with confidence. Overall, quality of repair, customer service and price earned Cambridge Auto Center 5 stars.

Had a pre-purchase inspection done here. For less than $100 they were extremely thorough and their staff was very courteous. Not sure how they are for repairs but I feel confident theyd be pretty good based on my experience.

Came in to get my tires changed. This crazy sound looked at. And a quote for diagnostics I already had. After they finished with my car diagnostics they didnt even attempt a quote...forgot I was even there and everyone behind me had come and left. Had to go see what was going on...which is when they started the quote. Had told me they had to drive the car twice for diagnostics but some how had no idea about the noise and driving even though I came in because of it? They ignored the tires and the sound. Charged me for diagnostics...said the car was safe. Went to another auto shop Ive been to before to actually get my tires changed and figure out the sound. Apparently I had really bad wheel bearings that had to be replaced...which definitely isnt safe. When I called to explain to the manager what happened he wanted to tell me the tech didnt look at the noise and sound because it wasnt in the notes? Ive never been here without them being thorough like this. So the tech doesnt write down what I need and somehow thats supposed to be my fault? He didnt offer a solution...I asked for a refund. Which went over just fine, I was refunded. Im just disappointed that I was not only forgetten about but told I was safe and wasnt. Usually for an oil change theyve told me I needed new tires and checked on other things without me even having to ask. So its not very pleasant to have things Ive actually asked to be seen be completely ignored. Im glad they didnt try fighting the refund.

This place has not completed the work on time as promised twice. One month later still no car. I took my car there because I heard the guy every Saturday afternoon so I just assumed that they would do very good work in a timely manner, boy was I wrong. Too many things to write about. WHENEVER I get my car out of there I WILL NOT RETURN

This place does good work. Lilly and Eddie are super great to deal with. The new guy, Sergio, is also great, love his attitude. Jose. I bring my car here consistently and theyve done me right so far. I appreciate quality work. I have lots of mileage on my Toyota, and I want it to keep on running. That is why I drive 120 Miles for service. Living in Shiner, TX. we have good auto repair shops, but I need the BEST that is why I drive the distance... Like the BG products and first class service. Took my car in because someone ran me into a median.They said they would look at it. I stopped them when the quote reached &2,900 and they weren’t finished looking at it. Which by the way was 2 days after I dropped it off and them telling me that they would look at it first thing the next morning. Then charged me over $100 for diagnostic that was never discussed with me prior to or at the time I dropped it off. Insurance is going to pay and had they not tried to poke out my eyes in the beginning I would have let them do the work. But not being honest or Upfront is a big red flag for me and I’ll pass.

Go and see Jose, who is the Assistant Manager on duty. He is very professional and will go to bat for you with your insurance or extended warranty I was looking at an arm and a leg, but after some time with Jose he was able to work out some kinks and got me a great deal and now my mustang is running better than ever, they do it all hands down the best shop in town! They even have a shuttle to get you back to work on your lunch break, that was my situation, I didn’t have to get a rental or an Uber they took me to work and I was able to get my car back that same day! Appreciate it Guys y’all keep up the great work!

Amazing. The integrity of this place is outstanding. Had my alternator light come on for a brief second then it turned off. I took it to this place and ask them to install a new one. They came back and told me it was nothing and that I should be fine. I feel like most places would have just taken my money and replaced it anyways. Definitely will be back.

I was recommended to this place by a friend they said they did great work on their vehicle so I took my vehicle because it was making a noise or vibration noise when you turn it on. They looked at it they told me it was a couple of regular maintenance stuff. I paid for the stuff. Got the car back and still had the noise . They said take it back and then they said ok its this now so now I paid more money to fix it and then left with the car and guess what, The noise I went in for never got fixed. I paid almost $1000 and maybe I didnt need the other stuff done but who knows. I didnt call them back or anything because now I dont have money to fix other things they said need to be fix it the end. And if I did how would I know that once again I am not just waiting money.

I went in after the Texas snow storm because my check engine light was on—these guys recommended a GDI flush and new spark plugs. I’m from out of town and I knew something didn’t sound right so I decided not to listen to them. Long story short, I took my car to my home shop and Cambridge Auto apparently unplugged some sensors and deleted stuff off of the computer. I am now down $109 with nothing left to show besides this review. Take your car somewhere else people—Cambridge Auto is not it.

I just called to get a quote and the lady who answered the phone was very rude and acted like I was bothering her. I was considering taking my car here after reading the many good reviews, but now I see those are probably just bought reviews. Poor customer service especially for the first impression, I will be taking my car elsewhere.

Maskholes. Not a mask in sight. Prima donna mechanic didnt want to do fix I suggested. Took 2 days to get diagnosis. Desk has communication problems. Lilly was great. Threw in a token discount and offered to put it back on the rack to show me. On the upside I dont doubt the quality of the work and close to my neighborhood and do inspections.

I was going to take my car to get my brakes checked at a different location but on my way I noticed Cambridge Auto. I’m so glad I did. They took me back to show me the issues I had going on with my car and educated me about the process. The manager, Lily, was extremely professional and sweet which made a potentially stressful situation a breeze. They also had a clean and comfortable waiting room, which for me is a plus. After calling multiple garages in the area who were unwilling or too busy to help me, I called and was told by Jesse they could help me. My 2013 kia forte folding mirror motor kept running even w the keys removed, draining the battery. I tried removing a few fuses but nothing worked. When I showed up Jesse got my info, and talked to a mechanic Josh, once Josh hear what happened he walk outside to the car, popped off the door cover and disconnected a wire. Fist bumped me and said this was his good deed for the day. These guys didnt even charge me the diag fee and said it was on the house. Im going to the atm though to give em 20 bucks each! I am coming back here for everything. They saved my time, money, and energy. Thanks broskis! 👊👍🤙

I had my car serviced at this location. Jose is very professional and described the issue in detail and provided an estimate very realistic. The work was scheduled and completed on time. The quality of the service is exemplary. Also this repair shop is on Costcos Repair program, so you get coupons from Costco.In the past I have been to service centers associated with the dealers. Always felt that I was paying more or doing some fixes that werent necessary. But here, everything was very transparent and I felt being treated honestly (in fact the first time at a repair shop in USA). I recommend this place for sure.

Every time I called to check up on my vehicle Jesse was so quick to respond and give me an answer. When I heard about this shop on the radio I immediately took my vehicle and I can assure you that they weren’t lying about it being one of the best in San Antonio !!

I came in for a diagnostic and they were really nice and fast. However, They wanted to charge me $499 to change my radiator fan which I thought was too expensive because its a very accessible part of the car. I actually went out and searched for a new radiator fan and I found one for $175 and my friend changed it for me for free in under an hour when they wanted to charge me $265.95 just for the fan alone. So I would definitely say that this place is super pricey but they have good costumer service, theyre nice and if you actually have that much money to spare then go get it fixed here. I do think its pricey because Im a college student with just a part time job but they gave me a discount for the diagnostic. If you have a good paying full-time job I feel like this is the place to go for repairs.

Cambridge Auto Center did a fantastic job on the repair of our vehicle. Weve had them fix multiple vehicles and have always been pleased.We recently took our car in for a brake replacement and since we drove it way longer that we should have with bad brakes, we had multiple issues. Lily Nunez went out of her way to check all warranties which ended up saving us quite a bit of money. Im sure this cost them time as it would have been easier to just charge us for it, but that is the extra mile they are willing to go for their customers and that is why I will continue going back.

Customer service was great and they really try to take care of you. If needed they provide you with shuttle service. Lily is very inviting, courteous and will explain everything that was done on my car.

I brought my car in for an oil change and estimate. They performed a standard oil change and sent me not only the estimate, but videos showing me how the parts that needed replaced work so I was able to understand why they needed replaced. The very first time I had brought my vehicle in for a repair was back in, I believe, June when it wouldnt run and I had to have it towed to them by my insurance company. Cambridge was recommended to me by a family member. Jose Martinez was very helpful and well responsive in helping me during my dilemma at the time. When I was having some suspension issues with my vehicle, Cambridge was recommended by a few people at my work. I must say, I have not been disappointed! My car is only 9 months old. Brand new 2019 Hyundai Accent. I went to Cambridge and the customer service was awesome. They diagnosed the problem. Decided not to charge me the 99.98 because the car is brand new and should not have issues at 16,000 miles. They told me the next steps on what to do with my dealership and says I should have a warranty on my car and they should replace it but if they give me trouble to contact them. This is my second time going to them and I will continue to go to them for any of my repair needs. Thank you guys so much.

Terry, the owner, and all Cambridge employees were the absolute best to work with! We brought a 1971 Volkswagen Bus for my daughter and I wanted to be sure it was completely safe for her to drive. I was thrilled when I contacted Terry and he informed me that Cambridge could work on it and had several knowledgeable employees that would make it safe for her to drive. Honest, reliable and great service!! I had a 2005 Lincoln Navigator and they took care of the issues I had with it. I no longer own the vehicle because I decided to upgrade to a new vehicle. But, if I had to do it again, I would take my vehicle to them. Here is why I say they are honest. I had someone else do some work on the front end of my vehicle. My vehicle started to do the same thing and I had taken it back to the people who had done the repair work and of course they said it was something else and they couldnt fix it. So, I took my vehicle to Cambridge Auto Center, I agreed to let them diagnose the problem. When it was all said and done, it was a bolt that wasnt tightened. All it cost me was the diagnostic fee and that was it. They could have said it was something else but they didnt. This is why they are honest and good people. Something so simple and they took care of me and they DID NOT take advantage of me. I count my pennies too and repairs can be expensive. But like I said, if I had to do it again, I will take my vehicle to them. They earned my business for life.

This place is the best. I called them before 8am (and they answered cheerfully) and told them about my mini-crisis. They handled by situation perfectly, arranged for a tow that could manage getting onto a secure facility, took my car in, fixed my car, and had it back to me before 2pm. Total repair = $80! These guys are the honest, efficient, and very accommodating.

I moved to San Antonio in 2014 and I found Cambridge online. I walked in they welcomed me and asked what they could do for me, I needed an oil change. They offered me water and asked if they could drive me home and I could wait at home till my car was finished. I was amazed at the service that they give. My car is washed and vacuumed along with an oil change. Tony along with the others have done a fantastic job. They inform me of future services that are needed on my car and help me budget it. I highly recommend this place.

Very happy with the service I received here. As a diesel owner I am usually required to visit the dealer. I called and spoke to Josh and he was more aware of my problem than the service advisor I spoke to at the dealer. They were able to provide same day service when the dealer needed three days. They quoted me a one hour price for the ecu scan and diagnoses. When the work was finished they explained what they had done witch included other repairs/adjustments that were not part of the original problem so I thought okay hear comes the big bill. To my surprise no extra charge was applied, great shop with honest professional service.

I brought in my car due to a vibration noise coming from the rear of the car that turned out to be a wheel bearing issue. Went back the next day and they fixed it in a little over an hour.
