I love Filipino food and I have to say that Sari-Sari is by far the best tasting in San Antonio. The food is fresh and made to order. All the ingredients are of the best quality which comes through with every bite of the mouth watering delicious food. The owners are super kind to all of their customers and treat them like family. The updated remodeling makes it feel very authentic and cozy. Im posting photos of some of my favorite dishes. Highly Recommended Restaurant.
Great atmosphere, amazing food and terrific customer service. Loved the special touches that reminded my mom of home ❤️ if and when we ever visit SA Town again, we will most likely return.P.S. the milk fish was perfectly crispy but the rice was a little dry? Just didn’t seem like jasmine rice to us. The lumpia was good. The adobo was great but again the rice didn’t taste or feel like jasmine.
Delicious food and cool little market. They serve good sized portions of classic Filipino food. Lumpia are delicious. Market sells Filipino goods and food staples. Multiple large Filipino families were there enjoying the cuisine. They have a few tables on their outdoor patio and there is fenced in playground too. Totally worth a visit!
Wife and I stopped in for her birthday because of a special desthat the restaurant served. Although they ended up not having any available, overall it was still a wonderful experience. The meal was full of flavor, particularly the garlic fries rice and my wife was very happy with her meal and the experience.
Amazing Filipino food. I love the store and the new step up! I love that they also have a bread market and they made a lot of changes and have new and more services to offer when it comes to food and Filipino culture. The employees and owner/manager were super nice and just love that it gives me Filipino vibes when I used to live in my home country. So clean and smells nice especially in the restrooms which I love so much!
Ordered the lechon kawali for appetizer, fish sinigang, mixed adobo and shrimp mongo for our entrees, and halo-halo for dessert. Reasonable prices. Every dish was appetizing and flavorful, but the halo-halo could have had a little more milk in it. We went on a Sunday afternoon and waited 30 minutes. There’s a nice playground for kids while we waited. Two things that didn’t get a five star was that our food kept getting confused with other surrounding tables and vice versa—Maybe the person was new and didn’t know the table numbers; and I was also bummed when they said they ran out of all fried rice. I was looking forward to longsilog and tosilog.
Amazing food and service. The wait staff was truly exceptional, friendly and informative about the menu. The food was out of this world delicious. Will definitely be returning!
The wait was only maybe 5 minutes, which we spent browsing their market for interesting snacks. In the future, my wife and I will be scaling down the amount of appetizers we order. The buns (siopao) are BIG and delicious, and the rolls (lumpia) are plentiful. By the time our entree came out (sisig) with the garlic rice, we could only eat half between the both of us.In total, we spent about $32!! We cant wait to come back.
Wow! Its been a while since Ive been to somewhere as refreshing and unique as Sari-Sari in San Antonio. We absolutely loved it! If youve been here in past years, you wont even recognize it. The whole decor has been updated; you walk in and youre instantly transported to a beautiful little tropical hut in the Philippines. Everything, including the restrooms, are clean and thoughtfully arranged with traditional elements in a bohemian look. (Actually, funnily enough, one of my favorite things about Sari-Sari was the restrooms! The colorful wallpaper plus the elegant decor made it feel cozy but exciting and vibrant at the same time). We had the rice and the sizzling beef, they were both delicious. The beef came on on a wooden slab with a sizzling hot pan on top. It looked, felt, and tasted fresh, and hot, and spicy. And the best part was our server! She was helpful and quick, and always magically appeared when we needed her. Sari-Sari is definitely a must go for San Antonio foodies. Actually, its a must go for anyone who appreciates good grub in pretty places.
First time going and will go back again!! Customer service was great. Food was good despite the register error ordering food which they apologized for (not their fault slightly delay) but they brought us some rolls so that was nice..lighting and decor was nice too!! Good job:) good food. Well see you again!!!!
This restaurant is so beautiful inside and out. Enjoyed the food and the vibe.
To start off, we sell so welcome in this restaurant. The wait staff was so kind and suggested many dishes to try as our first time eating Filipino food. We tried a variety of dishes but our favorite was the adobo. After we were done went over to the store part of the restaurant and my sob finally got his hands on the shrimp chips. I personally love the milk tea drink and my husband and daughter loved the taro bubble tea drink. It was a great experience and I cant wait to try more dishes.
Everything I tasted was good. It was my first experience with Filipino food and it was exotic to me; however, flavors were well balanced. As with other Oriental cuisines, a family-style meal works best. I was part of a large party, so I got to sample many things. Adrian really went out of his way to make this a pleasant dining experience, so dinner turned out to be more than just a good meal. I hope to go back soon.
I love this place! Yummy lumpias, great lunch special, fresh and delicious entrees; they’ve got the works. Def worth a visit
Food: One of the best Filipino Restaurants weve been to in SA, TX. The Lumpiang Shanghai taste like how my grandma make it. Sisig was really good, hopefully been offered with calamansi and thai chilli to maximize the experience. We also ordered, Chicken Afritada, Adobo Rice and Calamansi juice which was so refreshing. The serving was pretty generous and we are not aware of that. The serving is good for 2-3 people.Service: Its very welcoming, like what my husband said, I like here, its nice, very welcoming. They have an advance way to purchase your order and pay it, or you can also pay on the counter. Very nice people around.Place: They have restaurant, bakery with Filipino rice cakes and a store with asian goods and other stuff. The interior design let you feel at home as they have lots of Filipino signature decorations. They accept cash and credit cards. Have military discount as well.
Nice products. PRICEY. I paid $12 for coffee, and 2 juices. Prices arent visible on some products. We were going to stay and eat but staff was not friendly at all. Went to eat somewhere else.
We went for restaurant week and had to order and pay from counter. Food was okay, no wow factor. First entree had some small shrimp which were cold and not devined, 3rd entree had pork belly which was tough, maybe over cooked? But portions were good. Asked for hot tea, but did not offer this. Overall, there is potential, I think.
Nice place. Dishes never disappoint, always favorable.
Had some great food there must go back soon
OMG! Such a cute atmosphere and s such good food! Yesterday was my first time. Ill definitely be back again soon! Great job guys!
Looking for catering? You found the perfect place. We ordered the morning of our party and it was ready in 30 minutes! Excellent customer service with amazing fresh food. 👌 I highly recommend this place because Ive been eating here for years and Ive never had a bad experience. Thank you guys for everything!
Ive been coming here for 10+ years and the food is always delicious. I just moved back and its so great to see how much they have grown and so many new additions to the inside. They also have a little playground outside for kiddos. The saipao, lechon, halo halo, were amazing!!! My favorite is the diniguan..i would always come here specifically for that dish. I remeber coming here and it was a little home away from home with authentic filipino food. Overall 10 out of 10, and the staff is super friendly!!! Love love love!!!
Delicious food and promp customet service. Upholding the Filipino value of hospitality.
The lechon was very good. It had no onions or slices tomatoes so was disappointed. Also the Adobo was very bland and had no garlic gloves. Its certainly not like any traditional Filipino that Im accustomed to. The halo halo was the saving grace. Service was also excellent. So far I havent found any Filipino food here in San Antonio that is anything like i have at home in Hawaii.
Ordered Lumpia, pork and chicken fried rice and Chicken Adobo.... everything was perfect. Very tender and flavorful. Fresh and still hot after a 16m ride home since I ordered to go. Also has a nice market with a variety of items for meals and snacks. Thank for a great meal.. I will be back to try other dishes!
Absolutely phenomenal service here! The staff were so kind and helpful! The food was amazing and flavorful and I will definitely continue to come back! I recommend the lumpia and siapao!
Delicious Filipino food. Friendly, helpful servers. Comfortable Atmosphere. Will be back!
The place was really nice. The staff from store side to restaurants side are very pleasant. We ordered half a pound of lechon Kawali to go. It tasted good but not enough. We would definitely come back to taste other things in the menu.
The updates are great the atmosphere is great improvement. Need more space for groceries.
Great Crispy Pata and a great sinugang (sp). Service was great as well.
We enjoy coming here when we’re craving home cooked Filipino food. We normally get the usuals: pork sinigang, pork/chicken adobo, pancit, pinakbet, lechon kawali, and of course their crispy lumpia. Then we try to end each meal with their halo-halo dessert. All of the filipino soul food always hits the spot. Finally got to try their arroz caldo when they brought out their new food truck. It was pretty good and was just right for the chilly night.
Sari-Sari is a Filipino restaurant, market and bakery. Dinner is served family style. We ordered Lumpia (Crispy spring roll filled with seasoned ground pork, carrots and onion), Siopao (Hot steamed bun filled with asado chicken or pork), Pancit Palabok (Bihon rice noodles, topped with a thick golden shrimp sauce, lechon, shrimp, and boiled egg), Sizzling Pork Sisig Bourdain’s Breakout Dish! (Chargrilled and fried pig parts [belly, ears, liver] seasoned with citrus, onion, & chili peppers. Topped with a fried egg), and Sari-Sari Express - Bicol Express (Shrimp, mussels, lechon, long bean, squash, okra, in spicy coconut milk)The meal can be customize in spice level. Every dish we ordered was delicious, looking forward to visiting again and trying different dishes.
Long wait times, ran out of alot of appetizers at 1:45 pm. Great food, and dessert. I would call ahead and place an order, and get on the waitlist before you go
It was a bit disappointing experience..was told our Crispy Pata order--was picked up by someone(who probably didnt have to wait). I hope next time people in charge was making sure/checking carefully who each of the orders actually belongs to.. Defeats the purpose of calling ahead. Food is great though
Been coming here since I was a little girl. Really upset at the service today. Ordered my pancit bihon with chicken, lumpia, and tea. Sat there for 20mins with no attention and without silverware. No one checked on our table after food was served and got the blame game when our server finally came after my mom had to flag him down, stating the server shouldve have given us silverware....didnt matter. Should have checked the table to make sure we recieved everything we needed. Wont be coming back. So disappointed.☹
Ok a friend recommended this place cause I asked about Filipino food. First time here and definitely my last. Thank god I’m from out of town. Anyways, ordered chicken adobo. Waited an hour to finally get my order. Mind you, after 30 minutes of waiting the waitress finally said they’re making a fresh batch of chicken adobo. Ok, 20 minutes later it arrived. Got a pretty nice portion for it BUT the rice tho… they literally gave me the bottom part of the rice where it’s all mushy. I’m like fine, I just want to eat and I’m hungry. Took three bites and my rice was done. Like you gave me the end part of the rice and you’re going to give me barely any rice!? Jokes on me for sure. Oh now I’m at target trying to buy the microwave white rice and at least I’ll have enough to last me more than 3 bites 🤷🏽♂️
Awesome little Pilipino place. Great food, great prices. Ill be back, you should too. The Lumpia was VERY good! It has daily specials. I had the Adobo one day and a fish dish another day. Everything tasted great and was fresh. The meat in their meat pie was very good too, theres a proper name for it, but Im afraid its slipped my mind.
The topsilog is my favorite I recommend it to anyone who loves beef
Today I surprised my husband with a new culinary experience for both of us for his birthday, and honestly I’m mad that no one told me to go here sooner. Everything we had was so FRESH!!!!Normally he’s a pretty non-adventurous eat but he said “Whoever is cooking back there knows what the **** they’re doing!” He asked to come back not even halfway through the meal before he leaves again for work. Our lumpia was filled with meat and veggies, the outside was crisp and perfect, and the sauce was very bright with a tiny bit of heat. The crispy Pata, which is a fried pork hock, was to die for!! It tasted like pot roast on the inside, very tender and juicy with a perfect crispy outside that flaked off and crunched. My husband said he wants to put the sauce that came with it on everything he ever eats from now on.The chicken adobo was also tender and super flavorful; if I could just put the sauce that came with it all over my whole life, I could die happy. The chicken pancit bihon was a crowd pleaser with the best part being that the noodles had an actual flavor as well!!! Even my picky 4 year old couldn’t stop eating them. The Halo-Halo for dessert was a perfect way to finish out his birthday. I was a little skeptical of sweet beans and jellies but I was wrong! When we got down towards halfway, everything melted together and tasted like cereal milk. This was more than enough food for the 3 of us (leftovers galore) and super reasonably priced. The service was friendly and very quick, on top of every need we had. The atmosphere honestly felt like you’re stopping in at a friend’s for lunch. Free WiFi, a menu with great explanations, and they are kid approved. We will DEFINITELY be turning into regulars here.
Its newly renovated, it has now VIP room, we had the boodle fight not bad for the price. Food was fairly good 👍
Its soooo good and they have a newly playground with outdoor picnic benches and it is very pretty 😍 picnic benches are under an awning so they are shaded. If your kids finish their food they can play after!
I give this little restaurant 5 stars for the quality of the food and the friendliness of the the staff. The menu items that my wife and I have tried have excellent flavor and remind me of my Navy days in the PI. My one and only complaint is that the menu is a little limited, there are so many other great Filipino dishes that could be explored. Ill continue eating here and if you would like to explore a culture thats not as common as Chinese, Japanese, or Thai, then you should give these nice people a shot.
Amazing Filipino food and super kind staff. Filipino store attached to restaurant.
Was not impressed. I was hungry and after hours & they were open. I think if I was drunk, it would have been better.Sorry 😥...I was expecting better.
Food was very good, taste-wise. Our table had a variety of the -silogs. Tocilog, tapsilog, bangsilog plus a pork asado siopao. Taste was really on point for all 3 dishes. The less than perfect rating is for the service. The servers were very nice and friendly but the wait time could have been a lot shorter. The 1st plate was served after an ok wait, but the 2nd and 3rd plates were served about 10 and 15 minutes later. The server did apologize for the backlog, but an apology doesnt do anything for a rumbling stomach. So a good tip would be to not come hangry, otherwise you can get too mad to appreciate the food. Or buy some snacks from the grocery side of the establishment before getting seated so you have something to snack on while waiting for the main dish.
Food is always delicious! And the employees are friendly! Right now theyre renovating so they only have to go for the restaurant. The store carries a lot of Filipino favorites. My 1st choice for Filipino cuisine in San Antonio!
It was beautiful place. The food sucked. My meat was cold + the bun for the burger was to hard to eat.
I was excited to try Philippine food. Sat and ordered 2 lunch specials plus a to-go order. To go order came out pretty quickly. 40 min went by and our main order had still not come out. Asked waitress and she said they were still working on it. Waited 10 more minutes and my hunger got the best of me. I paid for my togo order and ws still charged for the iced teas. Oh well we walked down to Stix and Stones and had an awesome lunch.
Delicious food and lots of good variety at the market!
Im always looking for great food! Sari-Sari is that go to. Favorite dish is Chicken Adobo! My daughter is a pescatarian and eat only fish so she definitely enjoyed the here I was glad it was something that was available to her so Sari Sari see you again soon.
I was really disappointed in Sar Sari. I heard many good things of this place. Their prices seem to be to expensive for what you get. I got 25 piece lumpia uncooked to take home. They where about the size of a kids crayola marker for 35 bucks. Lechon Kawali and Adobo wasnt to bad though. For almost 8 bucks, Halo Halo seemed like a kid attacked it with fruity pebbles. Do yourself a favor, if you want Filipino food, make the drive to Chocdee in Universal City. Way better prices and better quality. Lumpa 25 count that are huge! For only 20 bucks. Plus a larger grocery selection.
Family pack (which is literally a sampler) was deliciouswe ordered Orange chicken, Cantonese noodles, pork belly fried rice and admiral chicken
The recent renovations inside have improved the interior very much. I recommend the dining experience over takeout. The dishes are well presented....but overall its always masarap (delicious). Cant go wrong with Filipino food!
The best food Ive ever had! Worth it to do your favorite Philipino food here! Food is always on point here and right off the grill. They have a small store attached as well. Slowly they are expanding and also have another place to opening up soon.
Good filipino food. New renovations look great
Got home from an amazing place and for first time eating filipino food like OMG so so good! I definitely will be back!
Excellent lunch time menu. i ordered the chicken adobo which came with rice and pancit, plus ordered the sesame balls...so good
They maybe under construction but they are always friendly and eager to serve, oh by the way in case you didnt know, they have a marketplace on the inside,so if you like Asian products and veggies and Tea this is a nice place to come and check out,Ive been shopping there for years, theyre getting bigger, Thanks
First visit and well forth the hype. Absolutely delicious!
Ordered some food online (singing, sisig, lechon) coz I crave it but I just got braces today and I can only eat soft food. Guess what sari-sari put some arrozcaldo for free taste. You guys are amazing and thank for saving me from starving. The arroz caldo tastes great, I highly recommend it so does the rest of their menu.
Staff was so nice and kind. They make you feel welcome.Prices are fare. And they have Philipino products. I just buy some to cook. Thanks guys and I recomend to visit them
Highly recommend the lechon and garlic rice. Lumpia is great too.
Great and very reasonable prices. I truly enjoyed my lunch combo. The personality of the staff was awesome and the service was terrific!!!!
Good staff, good food, atmosphere ok since its part sari sari store. We had the adobo and pinakbet
Food us amazing, staff was very friendly & helpful! Will be back!!
First time at this Filipino Restaurant. I will definitely be back. The Adobo chicken was delicious!
Went during the snow storm and was the last one to get food that day. Great service and food was amazing. Definitely be going back again when its not a natural disaster outside.
The place has been renovated and it has more space for dining.
Was very excited to try them for the first time so I dropped by to order food to go. Two employees were just casually walking around with no mask, even before the mandate was lifted, one was handling food... I definitely wont be back. Atleast not until the pandemic is no longer an issue.
Everytime that we go there the food is always so delicious. Our favorite is the lechon.
Love the food from here! ❤😍 The staff are also so nice. Their floors just need to be less slippery, though. I dont know how, but it needs improvement. 😁
5 star for Dinuguan2 star customer serviceRounded up because I care more about food quality than serviceTLDR; they dont truly offer curbside. Just man up and go inside or else youll be waiting forever. Will come back to try other dishes.First timer. Called in my order of 1 dinuguan and they said itd be ready in 10 min and they took my phone number. I called again 12 min later to tell them I was here. They said they were still making it and theyll bring out to me because I opted to stay in my car.40 minutes pass. Still no food. No call or text that my food was ready. Im not one of those entitled customers, but my 1 dish shouldve been ready by now.. Finally decided to go in to see what was going on.My food is wrapped up and sitting on the counter. The girl goes, Oh! I was about to bring it out to you! I didnt believe her... there werent any customers inside ordering so I dont understand what the hold up was. Makes me wonder if I wouldve ever gotten my food if I didnt go in.Dinuguan was as good as I remember it at filipino parties. Filipinos say its hard to make a good one. Great value. $9 to spread over 3 meals for 1 person. I will be back to try other dishesThey have ube extract in their grocery store!!!
