I had been doing all my repairs by myself and I really messed things up but the guitar doctors were able to fix it quickly. The girl there was so damn friendly that I have to mention her. And the fact that when I left I didnt get charged for the repair . That was so unexpected.

Tarpley, is the one stop shop for musical instruments, instrument repair, or just to gain a little shared knowledge if instruments are your thing. The staff is friendly, and very knowledgeable. The prices are comparable to other stores and theres financing available if credit is your thing. Thanks guys, you got our whole band covered.

I had a bad break on the head stock of a Les Paul Custom...shipped it to someone who worked for Gibson for 20 years to repair it but it wasn’t quite right...then the repair failed and I was worse off than where I started. I then took it to Tarpley Music. Just picked it up today. Amazing job on the repair and the set up is nothing short of perfection. Thank you guys! Highly recommend

Tarpley Music has or can get for you just about anything you would want musically. Guitars, basses, drums, keyboards, and school band instruments. You can try the instruments. If they dont have it they will special order it for you. Tarpley is a great music store. Give it a try.

They fixed my trumpet in 2 days and it needed alot of work. And it was at a cheap price.

Tarpleys is a shop for musician fanatics! They offer brand names at brand prices, but the best part is if you see an instrument you love, they allow you to test it out before buying. They even fix instruments if broken as well! The staff is very chill and easy to get along with! The many times I have been there, have never had a problem!

Best staff Ive ever met in a Music store. Knowledgeable and courteous, one of the techs stopped working on a guitar setup and took time to walk me around each department of the store. Ive never gotten so much good information about gear in such a short time. Im new to Texas, from Florida, and Im telling you that youll never get that kind of service there. Only in The Lone Star State. As for the guitars, youll see things here that the big box stores dont have in stock. Nice selection of amps,as well. Check them out,youll be glad you did,

Great environment I purchased a trumpet for my son and got it on payment plan. They make it affordable to place an instrument into a person who wants to learn. Thanks to the staff my son has learned so much at school with his trumpet.

These are great folks there are many skilled musicians and workman there every time I go in. I started fixing childrens guitars in the neighborhood that are either broken or unplayable a while back. they always have what I need and their selection of guitars is great. the prices for guitars are less or commensurate with online prices. and you never know what youre going to get sight unseen because every guitars a little different. I am going to buy my next guitar there. its already picked out. theyre helpful but not pushy and I love that.

It is a very good music store for the clientele that it serves, and I am rating it as such. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and eager to help or let you browse as you choose. I wish it could carry real, acoustic pianos, and an extensive selection of piano music rather than just a small sampling. But I understand that the market just doesn’t support that right now. Acoustic pianos are making a comeback, though, because people are realizing the difference in sound and touch, and also the difference in people’s learning speeds on a real piano vs. an electric one. So, I can hope! Tarpley’s is obviously responsive to their clientele, so I know they will carry whatever the general public wants. They really are an excellent store.

Brought my guitar in to be restrung. The employee took the guitar without quoting me a price or giving me an indication of what the cost would be. I typically pay a few dollars for restringing, so I was shocked when he returned 2 minutes later and asked me to pay $40 (?!) at no point was this price quoted to me. I am astounded that a store can charge something like that without stating it up-front to the customer. At any point, if he would have said it will be $40 for me to restring it for you I would have paid for the strings and taken it home to do it myself. I dont care if they want to charge $40 for restringing, but they need to be honest and upfront with the customer. I had no choice but to pay for the service, since it was already done, and I was never given the option to agree to it. I will not be returning to Tarpley, and I have contacted my musician friends in the local area.

I had bought a guitar at a pawn shop and they looked it over for me and replaced the strings and fixed it up perfectly for me! This is my replacement store since caldwell shut down. Highly recommend
