The place is okay. Havent had the best experience yet. Have been trying for over a couple weeks to set up an appointment to get my car door fixed after my car had a recall on the handles, and now my door does not open from the inside. Have been trying to get a hold of the manager since he was the one that fixed my doors after the recall and conveniently enough, he has not been there... Overall the place is not bad. Theres a lot of friendly employees willing to help, however the place is so short staffed at the moment its incredible how things get done.
Regarding the service department, I couldn’t be happier! Several years ago, I couldn’t have left a positive review, but hats off to a company that strives to do better. Since 2019, I’ve brought truck in for service and ALWAYS leave happy. Typically deal with Tony, but last visit was helped by Mitchell and they are both fantastic. Communicative, and very friendly

This place is awful. They only care about money!!!!! I will never be going back.I took my vehicle in and I wasnt sure if my warranty was up for the bumper to bumper portion of it (which it was). They ran my car through a diagnostic check, that was the first time i brought my car in. I got a call after the diagnostics that it was going to be $600 to fix my A/C. I told him that i was going to get a second opinion and he said okay and told me to come get my car. When i went inside to get my keys I thought everything was all good and i was just going to pick my car up. Then the guy made it news to me that the diagnostic test was going to be $160 (after they had already done it).In my opinion, I think the guy got upset that i was going to get a second opinion when he realized that i wasnt going to get service through them. Im so surprised that i bought my car from them in 2018 brand new and they will still charge you for a diagnostic test without telling up front.

We have bought several used vehicles here over the years. Our latest purchase was on Black Friday 2019. We were literally in and out the door in about three hours. It’s never a hassle because we have good credit and we do our homework before we arrive, knowing just what we want to look at and test drive. We are never badgered to look at something else or something more expensive. We are always happy with our automobiles and will probably use them again for a vehicle purchase. I also use their service department for oil changes and maintenance and at 109,000 miles my vehicle is still going strong. Highly recommend.

I found a truck online on a Thursday, by Thursday afternoon I was on the road driving 8 hours to go get the truck. Friday morning I was at the door right when they opened. They had the truck out front waiting, they looked at my trade in immediately, and they already had all the finance paperwork printed out and waiting. I was in and out, back on the road within an hour. They gave me a fair trade in value, they got me fair financing, and the price of my new truck was more than fair. Angel Aguilar is the most detail oriented, honest, down to earth car salesman I have ever encountered. An example of my experience with him at Jim Bass: Normally I wouldnt write a review but he left a long lasting great impression on me that I have shared with everyone. He sent me an email reminder hours before my scheduled appointment. I am a detail oriented person so that mattered to me that he set a scheduled time. He had a lot of patience to deal with me being indecisive between several vehicles and and pricing. I dont like overly pushy car salesmen and he did the oppose of every salesman Ive dealt with previously. He listened to my needs and didnt just try to secure the first car I asked about. From our first time speaking with the dealer NOT ONCE did they pressure, pester, or waste my time. Further my phone calls were returned timely, my text were returned quickly, emails were sent when promised. I cannot represent enough in words the complete satisfaction we feel in this purchase. Also, on the day we were supposed to pick-up our new car my wife was ill and could not travel. Guess what - I called and offered to wire the funds and asked if they would just sat my vehicle on the back lot until we were able to travel (maybe a week or two) and my salesman Anthony brought the vehicle all the way to our home three hours away!!!!! NOW THAT IS TOP NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE. Trust them and you will be pleased.
Bought my f350srw from them about 4 months ago. David Dyer was great to work with. Decided we needed to trade it and order a f450 platinum. They low balled my f350 so low the salesman was embarrassed to tell me the price. So now theyve lost my business on the 450 but also on my wife buying a new Maverick this fall. Moving our business to another dealership.

Bought two vehicles a truck and car- buying experience was very good.They had us sign off on hail damage. The salesman said the damage could only be seen with a special light- after the vehicle was cleaned (after the sale was complete) I found this not to be true- without the vehicle being cleaned the damage could not be seen- if I would have noticed the damage, I would have renegotiated the deal- I think this was a poor business practice.I guess the old adage “Buyer Beware” fits here- I love the truck and car but think this was unfair and will keep me from referring others
I have purchased two cars from Jim Bass Ford/ Nissan in San Angelo, Tx. I traded in and purchased new vehicles both times and was treated professionally and the process went fairly quickly. I had most of my questions answered. I did ask several online and through chat but was not answered completely. I felt like the first time I was given a fair amount for my trade in. The 2nd time I purchased I felt like I was given a very low amount for my trade in. It was explained it was the best they could do since my trade in had previous hail damage and this would show on the car fax. Eventhough the vehicle had 100% been repaired and was in excellent condition, I was only offered $15,000. The dealership is now trying to sell the vehicle for $26999 on the website. I do not think I received a fair trade in value or an honest exchange was given about this and reason for the score of 3.

They dont offer a trade value nor due they have quality vehicles. Sales men that I dealt with tried to make me out as an idiot. The guy that met me on the lot was extremely rude. Dont waste your time with these people not worth the headache!
We told them we wanted a new small truck with certain features and, unlike other dealers in town, they delivered. Other dealerships didn’t seem to listen to what we wanted and kept trying to sell us a used car when we specifically asked for new only. Would recommend to friends and family.
We had a wonderful experience with the service department. We were heading through San Angelo on our way home from Colorado, pulling a fifth wheel, with the intention of staying one night at the KOA before proceeding the rest of the way home. Two warning lights popped up on our F-150 on our way there. The truck was running on reduced engine power which is, of course, especially troubling when towing an RV. We called ahead to the service department and asked if we could bring the truck in upon arriving in San Angelo and they agreed. By the time we got the truck to them it was at least 4:30 p.m. (possibly a little later). They looked at it and decided they could get the needed part the following morning. We explained we had to check out of the KOA by 11:00 a.m. We left the truck overnight and to be totally honest, we did not think there was any way they would get the necessary repair done in time for us to get the truck back to the KOA and us to get checked out on time. We were wrong. They did it! We are very grateful to Terry Malley, service advisor, and the technician(s) who repaired the truck.

Went in wanting to purchase my first nice car,I was hard set on a challenger and the sales man I worked with (Taylor) didn’t waste my time with cars out of my price range or other vehicles that I wouldn’t be interested in. The challenger I purchased was originally marked at 21k but I managed to get it for an amazing price in my opinion. I’ve owned the car for a week now and am more then satisfied with my experience.

The service department is very unorganized and have no clue how to properly service your truck. Think twice before you take your truck to get serviced here.I took my truck in to get it checked on because the check in engine light was on. I made an appointment and all they did was drive my truck to the back of the lot and it took them hours just for them to tell me they needed to order the sensor I needed it so I would have to bring it back again. So I took it back again and they said they couldn’t fix it. When I asked what was wrong with it or what they had done with it. They guy couldn’t give me a straight answer and told me to take it back a third time. I couldn’t take it back a third time because I was coming back home, but the point is they shouldn’t have let me leave there after spending 2 days with 2 appointments without it being fixed. All they gave me was two pieces of paper letting me know what Parts I needed to fix the truck and they never gave me a break down of what they did to my truck. I don’t think they tried to fix anything, I believe they just sent a report to Ford that they did some work on my truck to make money since it’s still under warranty.

The original contact(s) when I started the process did not seem to be willing or eager to work with me on getting the truck. They would not give a clear answer as to the cost of the new truck and the amount of trade allowance. They also tried to tell me I did not know what I wanted in financing.However, when I went back to talk several days later and worked with two different people (Dana and Candy) they were much more willing to work with me and everything went fairly smooth.All in all you never feel like you are getting a completely honest and straight forward deal at Jim Bass.But they do have the better selection at available pricing in the area.

You don’t always get great service from dealerships but can say at Jim Bass you do. They take care if you from beginning to end even after you have purchased your vehicle they still treat you as potential customer. We had Anthony as our sales rep and he was great. Answered every question called and texted me updates on my vehicle as was being ready to be given to me and service continued after even month or two of purchasing car. It’s evident they emphasize customer service here. I’ve purchased vehicles elsewhere where and as soon as you sign they wanted nothing to do with you. Not here! Buy confidently here!
Parts department has never ever had one thing ive gone there for in stock. sad when a small diesel shop in town has a ford diesel part that is known to be troublesome and a big dealership like JB Ford never has anything, especially with such a large service department.

Didnt even bother to ask me what I would offer. Car sat there 4 more days before it sold. Sad part is, I was only going to offer $800 less than what they wanted. Went during their hail sale this past week in June 2020, and the deals were good. Salesperson Chad was pleasant, knowledgeable, and friendly to work with. They were largely accommodating with payment options. Glad we did business with them!
Mike Smith was great. I bought a hail damaged vehicle at a great discount. The trouble started when I went to the finance department and waited for 2 -1/2 hours to be helped. It was a busy Friday before a holiday but several people who came in after me were helped first. We were the last customers at the dealership with an 80 mile drive home as most of the employees were on their way out. We found the tail light was broken and it had to be fixed before we could take our new to us vehicle home. We had to wait until it the following Wednesday or Thursday for it to be ready. Wednesday rolled around and I hadnt heard anything and had to call Mike that afternoon and ask if it was ready. He said the part was in and had to check if they had time to get to it and have it washed. He called me back and said he would rush it through the wash rack and have it ready. We drove down to the dealership and right away I noticed that the front right headlight assembly had been buffed and scratched to a haze and the paint above the trunk lid had been burned off with a buffer. I pointed the damage out and was told they wouldnt do anything about it. When we got home I noticed that over spray from the tire shine was all over the trim down the side of the vehicle, the backseats were dirty and they left a can of window cleaner and a dirty rag in the seat. I had been searching across the region for deals on F 150s. I contacted Jim Bass Ford about a truck that caught my eye. A sales rep, Jareth, called me back, sent photos of the vehicle, gave me an idea of how much I could expect on a trade in of my car and invited me to take a drive. I made the 3 and a half hour drive and it was worth it. I ended up seeing a different F 150 that I liked better and in short time Jareth had me back on the road in a new truck. I purchased a Nissan Murano from them. It was an as is vehicle. I got ten miles from the dealership and the car over heated. Called the dealership they said to bring the vehicle back. It ended up being a cracked radiator. They fixed the car at their cost. A week later I picked up my car and it’s been working great ever since. Glad the dealership made it right and fixed my car. Very happy with my purchase.
I bought a truck over the internet, actually mostly by text message from salesman Ryan Cherberg. It could have not been any easier. The price was the best I could find. Ryan picked me up at the airport with the truck. We went back to the dealership all the paperwork was ready no surprises no extra fees no BS. The signing took like five minutes. The truck was spotless and full of fuel . Ryan made sure I knew all of features, answered my questions, quickly set up the trucks wifi and Fordlink, gave me a few restaurant tips and sent me on my way with a smile on my face. I am a fan of buying local and have a wonderful local dealership but unfortunately they were out of trucks. My recommendation is if you are buying on the internet and looking to skip all the bs and misleading prices just call these guys and get Ryans cell number.
