Horrendous experience. My bike was NOT fixed - it ran once, and then would not start again after. Had to tow it to a different shop where I paid all over again for the same work. They DO NOT stand by there work. Not only did all of that happen, but they absolutely destroyed the appearance of my bike - deep scratches on every panel and a three inch gouge in the windscreen. Think before dropping your bike off with these people - you may seriously regret it. There are other shops, please think about that for your own sanity. Such a frustrating and inexcusable experience. I paid a hefty price for storage too just to have my bike ruined. Terrible.

SHOCKINGLY BAD! My Piaggio nightmare (updated)My experience with Vespa Salt Lake started out great when I bought a new 2018 Piaggio Liberty 150, in May 2018. I talked to Ronan, the salesperson, and he was very nice. Everything was great until the scooter needed service. Then things went horribly wrong. After 5 months of riding, the scooter wouldnt charge the battery, so I brought it to Vespa Salt Lake on September 1st, 2018 for warranty repairs. They told me they were busy and would check it out in a week. A week and a half later, I check in with them and they said they ordered a voltage regulator for it. I patiently waited a few more weeks, hoping they would call me and say my scooter is ready. The scooter was going to be ready in a week. A month later, it was going to be ready in a week. Apparently, they had to order several different parts from Italy to repair my scooter.3 months later, my patience ran out, and I told them I want to return the scooter, since they arent able to fix it. Ronan told me the owner would call me. I talked to Ronan a few more times, and this mysterious owner guy never contacted me.After I made a bit more of a fuss, the scooter was finally ready on December 21st. I was able to ride the scooter twice, then same thing - the battery died., and one of the rear turn signals fell off. I guess they didnt tighten the bolt.Vespa Salt Lake was closed for the holidays, so I brought it back January 9th. I said I want my money back, talked to Piaggio customer care several times, told them about the Utah Lemon Law... they mostly just ignored me. I guess without a lawyer you get nothing. They finally had a guy named Jordan who is a bit more competent than the bunch at Vespa Salt Lake come in and fix the scooter. It had some defective wiring. Finally, on May 28, 2019 after 9 MONTHS I picked up my scooter. It works at the moment. While they had the scooter, they moved the shop to a more ghetto location with no real store front and a giant mud puddle out back. I got my scooter back muddy, with nasty scuffs and scratches on the front chrome trim, front fender, and a loose floorboard with broken tabs and missing screws. Oh, and expired tags, because it had been there so long! That part is funny, in a horrible, nightmare kind of way.Their shop is messy and crowded. Not only did they take 9 months to fix my NEW scooter, they also damaged it! No one deserves to have their stuff treated this way.Vespa Salt Lake, please go out of business. Youre not good at it.

This place is a hot mess ran by some very nice folks!I dropped of my scooter after getting a flat rear tire. Asked the guys there to change it, do an annual tune up and see if they could get my LX150 to start better.Despite leaving a note with my contact information with the scooter I had to call the shop the next day. I made a tire choice and asked that they call me at the end of the week with an update. Come Saturday, no call, so I call on Tuesday, only to find out they only just then ORDERED my tire after the scooter had been in the shop a week. Okay, I am told another week. I ask again to be contacted on Saturday with an update and surprise surprise no call. So I call on Tuesday and just ask for my scooter back as they have done $500 worth of work WITHOUT first discussing if that was okay. I came to pick up my scooter and pay the bill It became obvious why I never got any phone calls that I asked for, because they had simply not written down any contact information for me.a week after I got my scooter back it doesnt start anymore........Talking to one of the guys from the shop later on the phone, he didnt know they have a 60 labor warranty. He also said they could not help with transportation to the shop despite 2 separate pages on their website stating they transport scooter to the shop for you upon request. This is a slow, incompetent and expensive scooter shop that I would not recommend to anyone.Ill also be contacting Piaggio to lodge similar complaint as they are the authorized Vespa repair shop in the valleyand I do not think they represent the high standard that that company has set for their scooters.
