I highly recommend Sharp Hearing to anyone looking for help with hearing loss. They are very welcoming and highly professional in diagnosing and resolving your auditory needs. Their prices for the newest technology in hearing aids are so much lower than my previous provider, I was able to purchase 2 aids for 1/2 the price I paid for 1 just 3 years ago at another office. The aids are magical! I can answer my phone on my hearing aids and listen to music or podcasts through them. I could not be happier with the service and product I received from Sharp Hearing!

I usually am not one to post reviews but Sharp hearing was absolutely amazing! I was very nervous going into my appointment and they made me so comfortable throughout the appointment. Ive been looking for a couple of years for custom ear plugs for sleeping. Dr. McOmie made them for me in house, I had them the next day. they work better and are more comfortable than any ear plugs Ive used in the past 50 years. This place is so much better than the franchised institutions or the big box stores. The large franchised institutions cost twice as much and your treaded like a walking dollar sign – I feel sorry for the seniors that get taken. And the big box places do not do a good job of customizing to your needs.Marc has really brought some amazing modernization and technology to bear for hearing loss! My favorite item was a device that listens to the hearing aids output while inside your ear canal to match it as closely to your hearing needs as possible. I felt this was very critical: 1) Due to either canal or ear characteristic, the hearing aids auto tune feedback calibration loop cannot accurately compensate for. 2) Performance of the hearing aid can change over time. 3) Hearing aids mostly use tones and frequencies to calibrate themselves. This device performs both tones/frequencies as well as words, sentences, and conversation, to VERIFY the hearing aid is performing how it should OR more accurately be customize. For example, if you need a strong K sound verses a T sound in a sentence, this can be fine-tuned for you!Bottom line folks, it was a big game changer for me! I cannot underscore how vital this was for me, and probably anyone else as well. Beyond the hearing aid itself, this customization likely made another 25% improvement in my quality of hearing!!Marc inspires a great deal of confidence in his ability to deliver, and his attention to details.Yes I recommend this place – he and his assistant will know you by name. :)

I had a great experience yesterday with Mark. He regulated my hearing aids, cleaned my ears and gave me new instructions on how to use my phonak hearing aids. I will be bringing my wife soon to have her ears check. Well worth the drive, coming from Orem. I would recommend him to anyone.

I went in to have my hearing aids adjusted only to find out they couldn’t be updated in the office and had to send them to the manufacturer. Upon receiving them from the manufacturer they were unable to update them so they replaced with new ones and charged me for them. When Dr. McOmie heard this he called them and ultimately had the charged dropped saving me hundreds of dollars. I have never had this happen with any other Dr. I have dealt with. I am very pleased

I went to Sharp Hearing at the recommendation of my wife who is a 911 dispatcher and has received several custom ear molds from Sharp Hearing and has been very pleased every time. I am an airline pilot that wanted custom earmolds and was originally going to just get the deep impressions and then send away for the molds with another company. Was so impressed with how quick I was able to get an appointment and the experience from being greeted by Shanny at the front desk to the friendliness and knowledge of Dr. McOmie that I quickly decided to let them send my deep impression molds in to their lab and have them custom made to fit my Bose ProFlight 2 headset. Didn’t have to wait very long, almost two weeks for my custom ear molds (color of my choice no additional charge) to arrive. I went in with my headset to pick them up and Dr. McOmie took the time to help make sure they fit properly and I was able to get them in the correct way and pull them out successfully on my own. If any adjustments were needed to come in to office and Dr McOmie would be able to shape and adjust the molds without having to send them away. I have and am fully recommending any pilot, dispatcher, anyone who wants or needs custom ear molds for any reason to make an appointment at Sharp Hearing. You won’t be disappointed.

Hearing aids are very new to me even though I have needed them for a very long time. Dr. McOmie took the time to test my hearing multiple ways, and explain what devices and costs would be to accomplish my individual needs. Then over several weeks proceeded to spend even more time and resources to hone my aids into perfection! I should also mention that he suggested that I purchase a set that could be tried out for several days and exchanged for another if I did not like them. Which turned out to be great advice since I just could not get used to them. The new set from a different manufacture worked much butter for me.Service is getting to be a thing of the past with most companies. NOT SO WITH THIS ONE. Dr McOmie is a fantastic audiologist. We originally went in for a hearing test and to get adjustments to my grandmothers hearing aids. She hadnt been in for a few years and everyone needed to raise their voice / repeat themselves to talk to her. Dr McOmie did a thorough hearing evaluation and went through all the results with us, showing and explaining differences from her last test. He also cleaned out her ears & did a firmware update on her hearing aids. Since the hearing aid adjustment, shes been able to hear me at my normal speaking level! This is a miracle. No more having to repeat myself. The follow up appointment was very helpful too because Dr McOmie discovered a broken wire that happened over the weekend and replaced it for us so she can hear great again. We received GREAT customer service and very thorough care. If you need a kind, knowledgeable audiologist in the salt lake city area, Sharp Hearing is the place to go! :)

I had the best experience with Dr. McOmie and Shanny! My wife has been asking me for a couple of years now to get help with my hearing! After hours and hours of looking on line and watching YouTube videos I picked Sharp because of several personal referrals. It was a great decision. I had excellent patient care and customer service. Dr. McOmie is knowledgeable and expert at his specialty. After very extensive testing of my hearing he gave me several choices and options of the hearing aids that were best for my type of hearing loss. I picked the Phonak System. So happy I did!
