I’ve been buying stuff here for years. Lately, they’ve really been working on organizing things better, and I feel it’s easier to find something I’m looking for. If I have a project in my mind down the road, I’ll often find this things on 70% off sales and I buy and store them until I start the project. It’s saved me a lot of money, and I’ve ended up with some way better quality products. I really don’t care what the box looks like, it’s what’s inside that counts! A word for those that haven’t been here: there are a few employees that may have some social disabilities that come across as not helpful. If you e been here a lot, you’ll see that they are a staple, and do THEIR job well. If you ask them to step out of that routine, you may not like the answer. I for one prefer the fact that these individuals get the opportunity to provide for themselves as productive members of our community. All that being said- there are plenty of people that can assist you, just be patient. There always seems to be that one customer that wants to haggle the price although it’s well marked….
Love the NPS Industrial store! Updating our kitchen and have been able to locate great deals. Scott has been especially helpful, but honestly everyone is fabulous and positive. Go often so you can get a better idea of merchandise. Inventory is added quite frequently.
We LOVE this store!! Stacey is the most amazing staff member! She is always so helpful and kind. Like over the top goes out of her way to help you! We love it here!
The NPS store has gone down in quality of organization, stock quantity and deals/pricing over the last year or so. Perhaps the opening of the Orem location has stretched the store’s resources, but there is a noticeable decline on all fronts. The NPS store (National Product Sales) is a bargain store that “acquires inventory from overstock, unclaimed items, refused shipments, and damaged products”(as stated on their website). The industrial store is relatively organized by section, though much of the shopping must be done by digging through bins of helter-skelter goods. I generally plan on an hour visit to provide ample time for perusing and finding potential bargains. Please note that not all products sold at NPS are substantially cheaper than purchasing products new. I constantly have my phone out cross checking prices on Amazon to verify that purchasing an open box item or roughly handled merchandise is worth it compared to a new product online. The store has handicap parking, a wheelchair ramp and automated doors. Public restrooms are provided and relatively clean. I loved visiting NPS in years past. Hopefully they can get their system corrected, bring back the deals/reasonable pricing, and organize the store the way it was laid out in 2018 before they started making all these changes.
Always a fun place to find awesome things for everyone and everything.
This store used to be magical. They carried super random inventory, which gave it a fun, treasure hunt-like feeling, and they had great prices. That’s not always the case now. I’m especially sad that customer service has gone down hill. It used to be top notch. But the last time I went in, they weighed an item that was sold by the pound, and left that item on the scale when they weighed a second item—essentially overcharging me for it. When I pointed out the error, the young man at the register denied having done it and promptly looked away. I was a little shocked, but didn’t have time to fight it, as I was about to jump on an online meeting.A lot of things are more expensive than regular retailers, where your item will still be in its package and won’t look like it was dragged in by a team of turtles. So, keep an eye on prices, especially those that end up on the scale, and happy hunting!
Graet deals. Nice staff
Stacy is so helpful. Great store
I love hunting for deals I can usually find outdoors stuff.
They have gone downhill. I found an above ground pool that was more at NPS than buying on Amazon. The exact same pool! The last time I went there I found an item without a price marked. They told me that it would take 7 to 10 days to price it and they would call me. Years ago you could negotiate. Ill pass on the 5% discount to retail. Not worth it.
This place is great the prices are mind blowing every city needs one of these store
NPS Industrial store, across the street from their grocery/general store is something that should be on everyones list of places to visit, at least once.If you go, be a savvy shopper and know what what the value of things are, thats what the interweb is for.The store runs regular discounts and managers specials. The inventory is best described as random hardware, sporting items, home decor, automotive and industrial goods sourced from various places; frustrated freight from UPS and RTV goods from Walmart, Home Depot and others.A special event happens on Pallet Drop Friday, where the stores staff chums the waters as it rolls out fresh pallets, two at a time, to the hungry, waiting patrons, frothing to tear into the unsuspecting stacked and banded goods. Truly a sight to behold.Remember the inventory here is rapidly churned and extremely random and miscellaneous. Check back often, you never know what you may find.
Great deals great sales. Lots of stuff chime check out out!!!
This place is full of all kinds of things. Not all of them good. This place used to have really good deals and quality stuff. Now a days it seems a bit run down and picked over. The sell damaged goods at full price! If you google half the stuff it is the same price as new or maybe a dollar off. If you don’t mind buying ideas that fell of a truck just be sure to research the items before you buy. You may be surprised at the deals they claim to have.
These guys have everything. Great prices.
The staff at industrial nps is very helpful.
Staff is super friendly, industrial store lots to choose from !!
Great price and staff!
The treasure hunt is real here. But the prices are unbeatable. 👌🏽
I love coming here. Their prices are great and it always worth the trip. They are not the cleanest store nor are the covid safety precautions fully met but the trip is so worth it. They have a wide variety of items from food to clothing to house products and more. They always have amazing deals and sales. I will continue to come here.
Love this store great finds if you have the time patience to go through all the boxes. I personally would suggest doing something different with how they have things organized and displayed. Because everything is just scattered and thrown in boxes all over the place. There are some really good finds, if your whiling to go through everything.. Id say give your self at least a good 4-6 hours.
Good please to be good customer service
This place used to be good. Now theyre charging 95% of retail. Ill just stop making the drive at this point.
Love this place deals galore!!
Ive been going to NPS for about 20yrs. In the last year they havent been getting as good of stuff in and its so disappointing! Its still one of my favorite stores regardless but I wish they would get a lot of stuff back into the industrial side like they used to have like outdoor furniture, indoor furniture, kids play items for outdoors etc.
This store, each day is more expensive, and the cashiers decide if has discount or not, even if the price and discount is in the product
Best prices around!
I practically live at this store
Prices can be a little high, even higher than if you were to buy them at regular retailers but the sales can make up for it. Like today when I went and there was a 70% off plumbing items. Which you would think would be a great deal except after taking the time to sift through their piles of unorganized items you go to check out and they refuse to sell you the item because it doesnt have a price tag on it. Not cool and when you ask them about it they make it seem like you took the tag off to get a better deal, totally not cool.
Always able to find something good.
Extremely rude cashier, Janette. Milo working front door was very unprofessional. Do not shop here
Great atore
Super cool! Like a thrift store but all mechanical stuff and tools. Great prices too! Definitely check it out!
Nps is awesome
Great place.
It’s like treasure hunting!
Some of the every day prices are not very good. Some of the sale prices are not very good. Occasionally you can find some true bargains but that is less and less. I have been coming here for a few years and like the grocery side had far fewer great deals. Some prices are at or above normal retail. Sales used to be better.
If you know your business and can identify things, you can really come out ahead. Just take advantage of the sales. But watch out, they can change the discounts from one day the the other even though its supposed to be the same.
I dont know what happened in the last several months but the store is a disaster. The prices are still great. But everything is disorganized and there is not enough staff. I used to really love going here. The tools are all tossed in random boxes and looking is nightmare. I will go back and hope they have organized.
Edit: Its unfortunate you sell stolen items!NPS i.e. crooks that purchase lost (stolen) inventory from shady fulfillment centers!BRANDS: Stan Alexander is head of security if any start ups notice their items end up for sale with NPS dont bother reaching out. They know some of the items are stolen and dont care!CUSTOMERS: If you dont mind purchasing stolen items, items that Start Up Companies have manufactured, by all means feel free to shop here. For everyone with morals or a conscious steer clear!
Do not look forward to seeing me in this store anytime soon. Dozens of people standing in line with only two check stands open. The constant issue time and time again, including myself. Item is not price marked, no sale. I stood in the line for 20 minutes just find out no sale.
I almost always leave this store with a good deal. You have to be willing to spend at least 30 minutes here looking through everything. The prices have gone up over the years.... But if you can scout something out and hope its still there when they have a good 35% off sale its a huge win.
Great deals
I bid on some electrical panels last week that I didnt win, I dont have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is going to the auction this week and seeing the same four panels on two different pallets. They thought they were fooling everyone because they opened up the boxes this week. What they dont realize is every panel has its own unique number because you order them with certain breakers in the panels and if they send the wrong breakers you have the number for your reference. They didnt have a minimum price set for the panels so it looks like you only win if your price is where they expect it to be. Not very honest.
Cool place you can always find something you dint know you needed getting pricey but worth the time
This place is great for that hidden bargain find. The employees are very nice. Have to be careful as some items are cheaper elsewhere.
This is used to be a place to get great deals on lightly damaged and 2nd products. If you are looking for something specific you can quickly browse and not find it or plan a good amount of time to find it. Recently it seems alot of the damaged stuff should not be sold at all and is often priced more that new undamaged product elsewhere. You can tell there is an attempt to be organized but it is far from organized.
Most of the prices are great, things are really cheap. The only drawback is that the store is in disarray. No real organization and its hard to find exactly what youre looking for. They have almost anything you could want.....if you can find it.
Large selection of items. Prices are decent. Facility is pretty messy.
Very nice and friendly. Answers all my questions. Recommend that if you visit just for an afternoon. This is the Place for just about anything. I wish that you would go back to your better pricing on things its new but packages are all open and at times your charging way over the cost at the hardware store I feel you would unload a lot of that if you come down a few dollars. .
The industrial side is awesome. I roamed the place for at least an hour. Anyone that is a diy kind of person needs to check this place out. Picked up a lithium ion battery that goes for more than 50.00 in stores for 15.00 and it works great!! They have tons and tons of tools and all sorts of home improvement stuff, industrial supplies, janitorial supplies, sporting goods, and tons more. The place is massive. And thats just the industrial side. There is another store across the street that I havent made it too yet that has everything from bedding to art supplies to groceries.
LOVE NPS!
The store itself is mediocre. But social distancing straight up just doesnt exist here.
Cool place to look for very different needs. If you enjoy going to the hardware store you definitely will have fun in here. Prices vary from a very good discount to a jackpot.Try the food section across the street, 5 dollar burger combo.
This idea to be a great shopping experience and great deals. Now its not so great. You can buy elsewhere for lower prices. Theyve changed the layout of the store which makes it harder to find stuff.
This is a decent store. Look for colored tags with discount percentages thats where the deals are. Double check that items are not used, damaged, missing, correct or expired before buying. They do not accept returns.
Editing my review. As of 4/2018 there. Have been some improvements. Store is cleaner and more organized which alsoeans slightly higher prices. Pricing is still Hit or miss bring a smart phone check prices. Customer service has improved some
I love this place, all kinds of buried Treasures, but it is what it is, a big warehouse store with lots of racks and lots of stuff, tools, furniture, plumbing parts, electrical parts, I love this place, all kinds of very treasures, but it is what it is, racks of stuff, tools, furniture, plumbing parts, electrical parts, car stuff, Sporting Goods, garden stuff. You never know what youll find since its a place that resells undeliverable freight. But if you have a sense of adventure, youll probably enjoy it
Too much moving of their junk. Cant find anything!
Most items r way over priced and have some damage compared to exact similar items at other stores, also, many items have missing parts yet they r expensive.Customer service is very bad and their prices are non negotiable even when talking to a manager .
Sometimes you can get a decent deal. In this case I saw an Amazon basics brand camera tripod that sells on Amazon for $23.49. NPS wanted $24. With no warranty or return policy why would anyone pay close to or above retail? Used to be good, now its just a rip off.
Always an adventure...but always fun to see what will show up. Think of it as a less formal big lots...much less formal.found some great things here...you just have to browse and know what prices are a good deal for you!
Great prices and great customer service!
They can have some cool stuff for good prices. Its worth a visit especially for tools. It can be hard to find things and some trips are a miss but check it out.
Store is like a big flea market. Some prices are high but some good deals. Could not find any employees to answer questions or give assistance.
Been years since I visited the store, I remember you used to be able to get really good deals here. Went back today and it seemed like most of the stuff there was around retail cost for damaged merchandise that should definitely have a lower cost. Dont think Ill be going there to look for good deals.
Love this place. Gotta watch your prices to make sure what youre buying is an awesome deal... but its great! You can score some good deals here.
This was a great store in the past but not anymore. Most of their stuff is garbage and the stuff that’s good is all priced at full retail.
I had heard about great deals here so I went to check it out. The best deal there was apples 5 lbs/$1. Everything else was pretty normally priced or barely cheaper and not worth making a drive for. Clothing was priced similarly to TJ Maxx or Ross. The industrial section had some good deals and some not as great deals. They do have a lot of toilet paper if thats what youre in the market for. If you live close, its a good cheap place to get everything you could think of. If you have to drive more than 5-10 minutes to get there, youre probably better off just shopping the loss leaders.
NPS has a constantly rotating selection to pick through. Sometimes you can find great bargains, other times there isnt anything worth buying. We always have fun though.
Basically a yard sale/ the di but not as cheap. If you like rummaging through stuff for a good find if recommend it. 👍
Good place to find hardware if you dont mind rummaging through boxes and shelves. The items are mostly new but have defects or are damaged, sold with ridiculous prices. Lots of overstock stuff too.
I love these kind of treasure troves. Usually have good sales and very useful items you may not find other places
There are so many great deals just waiting to be found. I often leave with something that I wasnt shopping for because the deal was to good to pass up. You have to be vigilant though. There are some items that can be overpriced.
Huge selection of stuff cant happens to be the wrong model of what you need every time. Not worth the effort when a $50 item is only 10-15% discounted. Same deals to be found at regular department stores unless they do a sale.
Great place to score some amazing deals. Be careful though, not everything is a bargain. A lot of the food is well past the best by date, so if that concerns you, be extra vigilant.
Me: Finds furniture on a pallet in the furniture section.NPS: Thats ringing up as camping.Me: Its clearly not camping its used indoors. And then I pull up the product online where the pictures show it being used in bedrooms and its listed under furniture by all major retailers.NPS: Well its not furniture its Childrens Furniture and sorry thats not on sale 😂
You could find some interesting stuff in there, but a lot of junk to rummage through. Its worth checking out.
Lowest prices
Great variety store of most anything and everything! Make sure you have time to sort as theres loads to search through and the prices are outstanding and reasonable but you need to know your prices for an accurate comparison.
Used to be able to find cool stuff at cheap prices. Now its beat up stuff at ridiculous prices. Better to buy new with a warranty.
Theres stuff you may cant find any where else
Great place to get good deals. Watch for the sales. Love to dig for treasure.
Prices have become unrealistic, and almost ridiculous. I have decreased my frequency and amount of items bought down to near nothing because of the gouging. This store USED TO be a blast to rummage through the bins and find treasures at great prices. Now its just a CHORE to park, and shop at either building. I may just say forget it to NPS. Some of the employees are rude; one of the forklift drivers is pretty dangerous, and yells at customers, one African male employee just throws things around, hits on the female employees, and I constantly see him just running his mouth instead of doing his job. This looks AWFUL in the face of what keeps this business going: ITS CUSTOMERS!
Great. But I got there 30 minutes before they close. I needed a half a day.
Discounted prices, out dated items, variety of goods. From food to house ware, automotive and household furniture. Its usually always busy but there are so many items and so much area to walk you will want to comb through all the good deals and be leary of some out of date items.
This used to be a favorite store of mine. Something changed. If you like buying stuff in damaged packages at retail or above prices keep going. As for me, Im out.
Hit or miss, past few weeks specials have not been great. I would like to add that the staff have always been helpful.
Dont do the the auction on Monday. After I bid on a lot, someone moved items out of my lot to another lot. I moved it back and got accused of shoplifting. Its a good ol boy network here in which workers stack lots for their buddies after the close of the bidding process.I will never buy from NPS again.
Prices vary wildly, but once in awhile you find something you didnt know you needed for a steal. Its really random merchandise, things lost or damaged in shipping. Kinda fun to kill time. Always a treasure hunt.I stop there when traffic is bad heading north on I-215 just to wander while traffic clears.
Definately hit and miss regarding items. Great place to spend the day treasure hunting.
Holy cow! Toy store for adults! Just bought $180 worth of chainsaw bars for $80. Love this place.
Well you can get some good deals but you need to be consious of prices because a lot of their stuff is priced the same as a regular store who pays the normal wholesalers process and NPS is a damaged goods store paying much less. Plus they have a clearance isle that is a joke. Probably 75-90% of the product on that isle is priced damn near the price you pay for new product in a regular grocery store. And if you dont believe me go there and compare prices.
Its a treasure trove of anything you need or want. Make no mistake - if you look, youre going to find everything there.
