My first experience was taking my car in for my AC. It had been going out (and temporarily fixed at another shop) for almost a year. Scott was able to fix it for good on his first attempt! I was so thankful that he was able to quickly and confidently diagnose the issue.I also had it taken in for an oil change and to look at a few other things. Again, he was so straightforward and gave me exact quotes on everything so I could come back when I wanted to fix any of the non urgent things. No pressure at all to fix it all on the same day.My most recent experience was also great. My car broke down and had to be towed in. Scott took the time to research the problem and found that the issue was covered under an extended warranty by calling the dealership for me.Highly recommend if you want an honest, not pushy, reasonably priced automotive shop.

My car was leaking gas, they did a diagnostic for free! Amazing service, will be going back to them.

I have gotten fantastic customer service since I started coming here. The work has been done in a timely manner and definitely affordable. I have been able to get appointments within the same day or week of calling and they have even fit me in on short notice when there was a problem with my car. All of my family members now bring their car to Milcreek Automotive due to its central location and great service. I won’t hesitate to recommend anyone get their car looked at here.

Not happy at all! Took my jeep in 3 separate times to get the A/C fixed, spent over $700 and its still not working. Called and they said they can try again but it will cost me another $125. If they were honest, they would honor their work and fix for nothing. Very frustrated and feel ripped off!

In the middle of a long road trip and had issues with radiator/ coolant. Millcreek Automotive was willing to take a look even though they were busy. We had a diagnosis in 10 minutes and the replacement part in 25 minutes. We were back on the road with no hassle well under an hour from pulling into the parking lot. The staff was polite and knowledgeable. Services were reasonably priced. Waiting area was clean. We had no further issues for the remainder of our 6000 mile trip. Thanks Millcreek Automotive!

Great guys. I had a pill of a car that was having a lot of issues, so when my engine overheated I didnt even look and assumed the worst and took it in. They were awesome as the radiator cap just fell off. They could have replaced my radiator and I would have never known any better. As it stands they charged me for the radiator cap and sent me on my way. Cant recommend them enough.

Let’s be honest, I have no idea about cars! I knew I needed a new battery on my car and this being sort of the closest auto shop : I had my car jump started and barley made it there ! They took care of me and gave me a hell of a deal. They put in a new battery in less than 5 minutes ! I was surprised that it was so speedy! They had me in and out in no time!

Scott is the main mechanic, and he is honest, fair and a wonderful mechanic. I trust him, and would definitely recommend!

I used to work as a mechanic and always take my cars here and recommend them. They’re fairly priced and will never sell you on something you don’t actually need.

I found them to be trustworthy and going far out of their way when I was stranded in SLC and knew of no one to call for help. I would recommend them highly.

Very unprofessional, I had to sign a document before they could even touch my vehicle, and estimate was a notepad paper hand written with no specifics. I asked him 3 times for explanation about the problems, he was telling me the problem at the wrong location in the vehicle (bearing in a coil spring top cap, it doesnt even exist), very unclear. When I went to pick estimate there was a previous costumer complaining her car start rough idling and other problems after they replaced a rad for 500 bucks, in her old camry. I asked how much the fix will cost just threw 600 bucks on top of his head... good thing I went in for estimate only. I will not recommend...

This Garage stayed 1.5 hours after their closing time to finish my van, simply because they estimated it would be done by closing when I brought it in. A lot, or even most, garages wouldnt do that. A big THANK YOU to the owner and crew over at Millcreek Automotive

I Have been taking my car, and my wife and two sons cars to Millcreek Automotive for many years. This place has VERY Experienced Mechanics that I was told have many years of dealership training. They are fast, the car has always been done by the end of the same day I drop them off in the morning. Dan the owner and operator is a very friendly upfront and honest guy. Dan seemed like a very smart experienced mechanic, he said he has over 30 years dealership experience. He told me he has been working on all kinds of cars since the 70s but he is a specialists in working on Cadillac, I take my Escalade and Deville to him and they always get the job done and at a fair price. Dan keeps my old and new cars safe and he saves me a lot of money not having to go to the dealership, and by only doing the work that the car needs. Quality work done by this place every time I go. I recommend Millcreek Automotive. Dan is always very nice and honest, great place to go, wouldnt take my car anywhere else.

Amazing auto place. It has a A plus on better business bureau, and other reliable resources, honest reliable mechanics .keep it local.

While I try to support local business I didnt have the best experience here. I needed a rack and pinion replaced which they did but then then mentioned a list of other parts that should be replaced.I elected to replace the suggested parts myself and found that their recommendations where not correct. Example: replace right rear hub - left hub was actually the problem. There was about 7 recommendations in total.While I believe they did a good job on the main job I had some pretty bad luck completing their recommendations and finding validity to the recommendations as some parts had low mileage since they were previously replaced. While I could be the one at fault I felt poorly about their analysis.I would like to give them a higher rating I was left with a sour taste.

Got my engine pulled apart at 97k for a overhaul, did regular oil changes every since. At 111k the piston rings failed on brand new pistons. All work done by them. Their warranty is for 4K miles. Other shops do 12k. What a joke.

Not only was I lied to once by the owner of MIllcreek Automotive, I was LIED to almost FOUR different times! I was quoted a cost of between $120-$160 & ended up paying $280! Not to mention that my car was NEVER ready when they had told me it would be.I was told it would take them two hours to replace that parts that needed to be fixed, & in the end, they had my car overnight & through their business hours, a total of 7 hours. SO INCONVENIENT!!! The best part is, they told me that there were more things wrong, & wanted almost $500 dollars to repair my vehicle (or so they said). Finally, I got my car (had to have someone else pick it up because the time I had coordinated with them was changed..surprise) & my car is WORSE THAN IT WAS BEFORE I TOOK IT IN.My fiance told the owner that he shouldnt have quoted me such a low price & then change it when all is said & done on the car. We told him that we didnt appreciate the way he did business & that we would NEVER BE BACK AGAIN. The owner felt SO BAD that he gave us a blank stare & said nothing, not even a thought to apologize.DO NOT GO TO MILLCREEK AUTOMOTIVE. THEY WILL SCAM YOU!!!!!

Honest, Amazing Mechanics Family Friendly Place lots of experience and knowledge im glad i got my car fixed here... If your looking for a honest place to get your car fixed this is the best place in salt lake. Dan Gates is the best Mechanic I have ever met in my life and has some great Master Mechanics working for him.... Thankyou Millcreek Automotive...
