Im definitely a fan after a couple of visits. They have always treated me well, been clear on their pricing and done great work. A couple of times that Ive had to talk with them about what they were doing and why (I have an oddball vehicle with customizations), theyve been great about listening and adjusting their plans as needed. The one time they made a small mistake (happens to the best of us, right?), they absolutely took responsibility and fixed it free of charge. You dont find that kind of no-nonsense professional service very many places any more. Totally a fan.

The Maintenance Technicians were personable, professional and patient in explaining what was needed and why. They were quick and I received my vehicle back when they’d promised. The services they’d completed were brakes, re surfacing the rotors and a fuel injection cleaning.My vehicle seemed to perform noticeably better overall than when I had great breaks previous to these procedures.Amanda.

Questionable operation. Its not owned by the same family anymore. I was convinced to do a major repair and a weeks later something else was suddenly broken. They convinced a friend to do a transmission rebuild and a week later something else was broken that cost another thousand. Sloppy work, Ive had to get work warrantied.

This place was great! My truck was making a rattling noise when i started it up so i took it to the dealership and was told that i need to replace my timing chain (07 Dodge Dakota). I was quoted by the dealership 2300 dollars with them helping me out. I brought it here and i got the tensioners done for 340.00. I also love that they offer the 2 year/24000 mile warranty.

I appreciate Jerry Lamberts willingness to work on my older cars and the quality of the work they do for me. Other shops have admitted they dont know how to work on a late 80s pickup truck! Lamberts does a great job of telling me what needs doing, and what it is going to cost, and keeping me updated on progress.

I was thrilled with the service that I received at Lambert, particularly after bad experiences at two local Jeep dealers. When I called to make an appointment to take care of several things, Ian said it would take a day or two to do the work. I dropped my vehicle off, and they started working on it right away. That afternoon, Ian called me with an update and said that they needed the second day. He called me the next morning with an update, and then again in the afternoon to tell me the vehicle was ready. The actual cost of repairs was very reasonable, but the level of service that I received made the experience a bargain. To top it off, I receive a text from Jerry Lambert asking if I was satisfied with the service I received. VERY satisfied.

I started going to Jerry Lambert after they had a much better quote than my usual car place for a serious repair. Since then they have completely replaced my old car shop with their competitive quotes and mom and pop shop feel. Always willing to help with any repair and do it in a timely manner. They fix it RIGHT THE FIRST TIME, which is something my previous shop couldnt do. They keep my Suzuki running and they guarantee their work, are even able to give you a ride if needed. Cannot recommend them enough.

I went in for a inspection to see if my car was worth investing repairs and they gave me honest answers with great advice. They seek to serve you and give service that is selfless and not to just benefit themselves.

Last year my car didn’t pass emissions so I took it here and they said it just needed oil, gave it a pass. and the check engine light was off for a couple of days. This year it has the same code so I took it back to them and asked them to do whatever they did last year. They didn’t even listen. Did an emissions test, failed it (I’d already done that) and they said it was the same tech. Looked at my papers. It was not the same tech and they say they don’t know what’s wrong. So in other words they got *paid to fix it last year but simply cleared the code and passed it. Now they expect me to just accept lies as an answer and I can’t register my car. Only form of transportation. They screwed me over BAD.

I have been taking my cars to Lamberts since 1995.They are the only mechanics I trust. They do only whats needed and for a fair price.I trust them completely, not something I can say about other shops.Recently I was told by a chain oil change shop I needed $600 worth of new brakes. Took the truck to Lamberts. They said all I needed was the brake lines tightened down, no charge!This has happened on several occasions.Highly recommend.

I called in the morning and they got my car done that day for me. I was so happy with the service and the way they treated me. I will definitely be using them again.

I dropped my car off monday morning to get my brakes checked and replaced. They called me to pick up my car on wednesday close to closing time, so I did a test drive with my car before driving home. During the test drive my car pulled so hard to the right it was nearly undrivable. Before dropping my car off my alignment was perfect. I had a technician ride with me to show him how far to the right the car was pulling after their work and he had the gall to tell me that the road was just slopped. Even though I was furious I kept calm and told them no, you need to figure out what you did to my car and fix it. They ended up keeping my car till friday which at that point made a week that I had no car for a simple brake job! They then called at closing time again to have me pick up my car. Again I took my car for a test drive and again it pulled sharply to the right. This being my primary vehicle I needed my car back desperately and could no longer afford to leave it in the hands of people who clearly didnt care to try and fix the damage they had done. I ended up taking it to another mechanic and all it ended up being was that the Jerry Lambert technician had somehow knocked the weights from my tires when removing them to do my breaks. Clearly if they cared enough about their customers or their quality of work they could have found and fixed the problem within 5 min not 5 days. It was an incredibly simple fix if Jerry Lambert auto had simply checked to see what they had done. Ever since Jerry sold the shop its gone completely downhill. I will not be recommending this shop again, not only for the poor customer service but the poor quality workmanship as well. Just because Im a single mom and a cancer patient I just cant afford to be defrauded like this any longer, it took 5 days and two mechanics for a break job. Im posting this so other people dont have to go through what I did.

Jerry Lambert Automotive performed an emissions inspection required by the State of Utah to reregister this vehicle. As always they were prompt, completely priced, answered my questions reasonably, and were friendly.

Work involved was replacing an engine for a 2004 Ford F-150 pickup.Lambert worked closely me and with our supplier to identify a good quality, reasonably priced and compatible rebuilt engine and installed it, seems to work fine. We have only 450 miles on it so I guess it sort of a report in progress.I found the service personnel to be helpful and friendly with a special shout out to Ian and Mike who were very knowledgeable about the progress on the work.The final price was close to the original estimate, allowing for a few small things found during the replacement.

I brought my daughters car in for an oil change and a check engine light alert. She is a U of U student and I live out of state. Was visiting while she had minor surgery. Needed to reschedule my appointment last minute, due to my daughter having some complications. After a night in the ER, they not only rescheduled but were very kind and understanding. They were so busy and still managed to get the oil changed turned around within an hour while I waited. The cost was super reasonable. They diagnosed the engine light issue and explained it was nothing major (oil cap loose). They were all so honest and upbeat. Clearly customer service is their number one objective. We found our new mechanic in Salt Lake City.

My first visit/repair to my Lexus was more than satisfactory. This garage is certainly a viable alternative to the auto dealership(s). The repairs were completed on time, exactly on the quote I was given, and the work was not started until I approved all the costs & work to be done. Excellent diagnosis and repair. Poor communication.I took in my 1996 Jag which had a problem with overheating. They diagnosed the problem and had to send to CA for parts. Said it would be ready in 2 days. I waited 1 week and had to initiate calls to find out the status. I was told the car was repaired and they wanted to test drive before releasing it. i had to call again to finally find out the car checked out okay and was ready for pick-up. The work was excellent and the problem seems to have been resolved, no complaint there. I would have appreciated at least 1 call to tell me the status of the needed part and 1 call to tell me of the need to test drive before releasing.

These guys are awesome! They have correctly diagnosed and fixed quite a few things on a couple different cars for me. They arent the cheapest or the fastest, but my cars have always ran better after bring them here and they always communicate the exact problems and dont try to sell you things you dont need. If they cant fix it, they will point you in the direction of someone who can.

Lamberts has been working on our company vehicles for a long time now and has been some of the best and friendliest people to work with. They are always very honest and fair priced.

My daughter took her car to Jerry Lambert Automotive to have them check her transmission. She chose this auto repair shop because it was recommended by AAA. After diagnosing the issue, the Jerry Lambert service advisor recommended a transmission replacement. When I heard the quote I told my daughter to wait until I called around. As it turns out, the quote at Jerry Lamberts was over $1000 more than the dealerships price and over $2000 more than AAMCO. Upon learning that my daughter could save a significant amount of money elsewhere, I told her to pick up her car and drive to another mechanic. Upon checking out, my daughter was charged a $105 dollar diagnostic fee. This was a surprise, since the other auto repair shops were all willing to diagnose the issue for free. BEWARE!Post #2: After posting this review, I received a call from the owner, Jerry, who wanted to speak to me to address my concerns. I was impressed by his attention to this matter and have chosen to revise my initial rating as a result of his call. I still feel that the price I was quoted was high, which Jerry said he would look in to, but I truly appreciate the efforts Jerry made to resolve the situation.

My experience with Jerry Lambert was great. I took my car in for a check engine light. The people who work here are very honest, helpful and pleasant. They are very reasonably priced. My car has been back 2 times since the check engine light. I will continue to take my car here for any repairs it may need.

In May 2019 I took our old minivan to Jerry Lambert because of a bad oil leak. A couple months later I noticed a problem with the repair. I called up and they were understanding and willing to look at it again. Oil leaks are tough. They reworked the repair. I thought this shop showed a lot of integrity and follow through by not charging me a second time and warrantying their work. Thanks.

I have a 1959 Ford F-250 that needed a lot of work as you can imagine. I sent out emails to a half dozen Ford and restoration shops in Salt Lake City. I live in California but the truck was in SLC as it was my father-in-laws truck and he had recently passed away before he could work on it. Jerry was the only one who responded so I contacted him on the phone and we spoke about the truck being 60 years old and although I knew it ran I was not sure what condition the engine was in. I knew it had a new clutch and for a 60 year old truck it had almost zero rust so I wanted to restore it to original. I have to say after driving the truck back to California that Jerry and his team did a great job and I would be happy to send anyone to have them work on your car or truck knowing they stand behind their work and do a great job. I wish I had taken my car here sooner. I had my car towed there from a different shop without me. They were very kind, flexible, and honest about what needed fixed. Everybody I talked to gave me the same level of great service. After picking it up, it ran better than it has in months and some things they swear they didn’t touch are also working better than before. Magic happens at this shop.

Excellent shop, went in on 6/13/18 for a noise coming from my steering wheel. Kevin, came out did a quick look and potential cause of my issue. Informed me they might get to it that day but most likely it would be done the following day. Kevin gives me a quote and was very professional. They offer shuttle service to AND from the shop, they were willing to pick me up from my home so I could pick up my vehicle! Who does!? No one but Jerry Lambert! They also are a AAA certified repair station which means AAA members receive a discount on labor. Highly recommend the crew here!

I just trust these guys. Ive got an old car and Ive had it for nearly a decade, so trust me when I say Ive been to a lot of mechanics.These guys never try to sell me stuff I dont need, never try to take advantage of the fact that Im a woman (most places try to sell me more simply because they think I dont know about cars), are very informative, and try to get me good deals.I had a washer fluid bottle replaced a couple of years ago and they worked hard to find me a fairly cheap one since its not something that needs to be top of the line. I was very impressed that they would spend time to make sure I was spending less.I live a little further away from them now but I will keep going because after two and a half years of vetting them, they are my car people.

Worked With Micheal directly. Always quick to respond and at a price I could manage. My dealership wanted $500 just do check out if my camshaft needed to replaced (on top of the $50 diagnostic). Jerry Lambert did this as part of there normal diagnostic.Never felt pressured into repairing things that were not needed. Honest and straight forward. Definitely at an affordable price and quality work.UPDATE:came back and had some more work done by this crew and I couldnt be happier, worked with Ethan this go around and he was great to work with and explained every repair.Will be back next time I have a car problem!

Mike is fantastic. So thankful to have found a mechanic that I can trust to be completely honest with me. They’ve declined doing repairs that aren’t needed and have never attempted to upsell me on other things my car needs (a rarity in the car repair world). This is the only place I trust to work on my cars.

Excellent customer service from the initial phone call to the finished work on the car. All details and options were discussed in a frank manner and all questions concerning service were covered. Happy with the results and the follow up to insure satisfaction. If revelant, the vehicle is a 2008 Saab 2.0T, and they did due diligence to source parts and make suggestions for that make/model.
