You just cant go wrong with a Village Inn pizza... you just cant. They have their own unique sauce and flavor and its hard to describe. Its just Village Inn Pizza and its amazing! The crust is thin and crispy on the edges, the sauce is perfectly spiced, just the right amount of cheese - perfection! The salad bar is on fire, too, with homemade dressings (the blue cheese ROCKS!). They have a buffet (AYCE) for both lunch and dinner or you can just order yourself up something dreamy to go like I did (Canadian bacon, mushrooms, onions, black olives, green peppers). Thats a lethal combination right there. Add a salad with blue cheese? And were talking MIND. BLOWN. Check them out. Worth the wait, the drive to the other side of town and dealing with all the people congregating near the front door because theyre in line for the buffet on a busy night! They used to make their own house pizza sauce and chop all of their own veggies and cheese. Not sure if all that still happens, but the pizza is as good as I remember!

Went for a late lunch here on a Friday. The service was excellent. Very friendly like I have experienced it for 40 years. Definitely a good crew here. Was no hesitation on my pizza requests. Didnt even have to ask for dessert pizza. Unfortunately a recent suppertime experience around 6 p.m. here did not go as well about a month ago. It look like they have new people that were really willing to put out a good layout of pizza and salad and other things like spaghetti and soup. As people started coming in for the evening meal they continued to put out fresh selection of 🍕. This is how a pizza buffet should be. It shouldnt be so hard to get good quality hot pizza thats what most every customer comes for! I hope they will get a good working staff like this for the evening shift. Totally so much better experience then the evening Fiasco I had to experience a month ago. That night was full of Jibber Jabber and hardly any quality control of the buffet going on. And the person running the buffet got mad at the customers for not putting in the request. I mean this is a buffet you should already be putting out pizzas no matter what request or not! Thank you for carrying on a 40 plus years of tradition of me enjoying this Village Inn. Has the three Cs of diners and dives which are cleanliness, cost-effectiveness and last but not least the most important awesome customer service! Thank you so much this Navy veteran of 20 years honorable service appreciates your dedication to duty. May God be with this nation during this terrible time in American history. For a pizza buffet place this is by far one of the best. Always warm pizza and a good variety.

Buffet with pizza, soups, salad, and dessert pizza. MANY options on the salad bar. Food was delicious. Young kids working in the kitchen were a little rowdy but at least they seemed to enjoy their job.

Always pleasant experience, I visit often with my kid, great for lunch. The pizza is really good and I appreciate the fresh salad bar. They offer buffet, but also have a nice menu selection. If they offered fresh wings Id probably give them 5🌟

Always love this place. I make a meal of the salad bar. The employees are fantastic. There are a couple of ladys there that love my big dog and will go out to greet him whether he is in the car or in his trailer behind the motorcycle.

Always loved getting pizza at VI when I was a young boy! My favorite pizza is thin crust pizza and they nail it here! Bonus, we went in on a very slow time during the buffet and got to order fresh hot pies!!!

Havent been here in awhile. My concern is employees are not wearing mask while we are in line waiting to be served. The pizza was just okay (nothing like it use to be). The salad bar was always one of my favorites, however this time it wasnt up to par either.

They May not have ice cream ... but they make any kind pizza you like .. fresh fast and crispy crust .. chicken wings on certain days and always all you can eat.. they do how ever need to get a pasta/setting warmer ..pasta tends to dry out but sauce is premo

This place used to be the best pizza parlor in Salisbury bar none hands down now I wouldnt feed what theyre handing out to my dog been there twice in the last 2 weeks pizzas were not fit to eat never going back they need the old staff back in there cuz what they have there now aint getting it done!!!!!!!!

Horrible buffet. I dont know if it was because it was a Sunday but there was no fresh pizzas put on the buffet from the time we walked in until we were about to leave. New customers came in, and still no fresh pizza. However the salad bar was probably the only thing there worth the $25 we paid. Seemed like workers were more focused on the outgoing orders rather than the actual buffet. Absolutely absurd. Never coming back

Not even worth a star. We just left there. Paid $51 for nothing no fresh pizza and what they had was burnt. We were there almost 30 minutes for nothing waiting on pizza that never came. Floors were nasty should of been the first sign. Dessert pizza wasn’t even cooked it was raw dough. Never again

Three strikes! Since we live here and every new group deserves a chance, we went back a third time and still no improvements. On a Sunday at 1:00 the place was crowded but not packed, still empty booths. Thus the pizza buffet should have been full to the brim. It was not. Bits and pieces of cold pizza. Had to wait on fresh pizza. One pizza brought out about every 10 minutes and it got grabbed up almost instantly, so we were constantly waiting. Pizza was a little undercooked. Salad bar was great, which is the reason for two stars instead of one.

It was awesome! Staff was super, everything was clean and safety for the Covid. A high thumbs up!

We ordered the buffet, old dry pizza on the bar, so I was going to have some spaghetti but it was dried up and after telling them about it they still left it there. They seem to focus solely on their takeout business and let the rest go!

My family and I love eating here. The salad bar is large with many different, fresh items. The many varieties of pizza are always hot and fresh out of the oven. The staff are friendly and they keep the tables clean, the food bar full. Their iced tea is Real Southern Sweet Tea!! You will love Village Inn Pizza, too!!♡♡

Wonderful food! The best salad bar in Rowan County! The pizza bar is very good, but their takeout pizza is divine! I love picking up the pizza. My car smells fabulous for the next two days. Getting it home and watching everyone jump to eat it is satisfying. Its not like national chain pizza that ends up as leftovers. Nope! Its gone quickly. My husband has to have this pizza every week. No complaints here, since they always have a great special running. Yum! Get you some!

TERRIBLE PIZZA! I will NEVER eat from this place again! Absolutely HORRIBLE! We got the Chicago Style deep dish and their traditional thin crust pizzas. The food wasnt traditional though. The entire bottom crust of the Chicago style came completely OFF!! Ive never had pizza fall apart like that before! Then the pizzas were overcooked on top and some how ended up being cold when I picked them up! Cant believe Village Inn has been reduced to such service now. Ive been eating this pizza since they were located on E. INNES ST., Where Marcos Pizza currently is Now. Maybe good pizza Is still there because VI doesnt have it anymore. Hope Marcos has better food and service! Village has lost its pride in good foods. 1 STAR

My family loves to eat here. They have good pizza and the buffet is always stocked. My only complaint is that I was told that my two year old son was not allowed to play and be on the floor if he didnt have shoes on. He absolutely hates shoes and socks especially in this 90 degree weather so I dont force him to wear them. I feel like, as a family oriented establishment, they should have been more understanding. He was so happy playing at the toy dispensers and wasnt bothering anyone and when I had to make him get back in the high chair he was very upset and fussed the remainder of the time we spent there.

Always a full pizza buffet bar with pasta, soup, and salad and dessert. Someone is always waiting to clean up when a person leaves. Bathrooms are clean. Handicap accessible. Great prices. Kid friendly.

We came here as it was just across from the Little Caesars Nightmare wed just experienced across the street, and we needed pizza for our friends and ourselves.Theres at least one really, really nice person working here, but unfortunately, the pizza is truly terrible, and as usual, very, very ridiculously overpriced.Like a crunchy, giant, flavorless cracker. Suitable for lining birdcages, and certainly lining the owners wallet, but not fit for eating or for good customer relations.

Village Inn used to be a good place to eat. Now the pizza is undercooked (if they have any) and the salad bar is full of old veggies. When the old manager and his family left this place went down FAST. I wouldnt recommend wasting your money.

That place will never be the same. I was apart of the old management. Got a new job opportunity thats why I left after 6yrs of my service there, this was the Village inn Pizza all stars and it had the team of me Ray Miller, The Huffmans, Brandon, Brad, Rebecca, travis, Mike, TJ and George. The way we treated our customers was golden the food was good because we cook with love. all around, the service we gave, The food our area was better... and where are the black people in there we had a diverse roster now its just one.. Like whats going on.. New management changed that too??

2nd time in 7 days and pizza bar was nearly empty. The only thing to eat fresh was soup and poorly stocked salad bar. Plus both times the staff let the Sweet Tea run out. Both times at 6pm. Its sad. I really did like the food before now!

I was hesitant after reading the reviews, but decided to try it anyway..this is the best pizza Ive had since living in North Carolina.. its hot and fresh definitely worth trying

Best salad bar in town!

Usually great, but today they were slow to keep the pizza buffet hot and fresh. Once again, this is an exception to the usually great experience. I will be back and I have faith they will deliver a great experience, once again.

Had been to Village Inn MANY times to have the buffet, never saw a burnt pizza. Called and ordered 2 pizzas for $30 and both were burnt. Manager offered to remake 1 of them, but not my childrens cheese pizza. Never going back if they are not willing to cook good food for non buffet customers.

Great pizza as well as their other usual menu items. Quick service & convenient location. Friendly employees that go the extra mile to make your lunch or dinner a pleasant event. Plenty of free parking and restrooms for customers.

We popped in just to get a menu and the smells are wonderful, we stayed and had the buffet. Fresh full and many choices for the salad end the salad is fresh cut not bagged that has stuffed sprayed on it. The French dressing is the very best I have ever tasted. The pizza buffet is filled with pizza great choices all fresh and hot and a dessert pizza. They keep the buffet filled and clean. The tables are kept clean. We know this is now our favorite place. The staff is friendly and are happy that you came in. We are there most Wednesdays since its wing nite, I could go every other day. I just love so much about this place.

I got a bunch of pizzas to go (they were delicious).The dining room was welcoming and clean. Staff was very friendly.The buffet bar looked so tempting but my crew was waiting for their meal so I passed this time but I look forward to returning soon.

Always been a great place! When i was a young kid it was my favorite restaurant! Now at 23 years old i just moved back to the area, and it hasnt changed much at all. Same great place as always!

Good service and reasonably priced

We moved...😫..almost an hour away and we will still drive to Village Pizza when we can. The cravings over take us and its a MUST while in Salisbury. The food is fresh, tasty and the restaurant itself is CLEAN...very clean especially the washrooms. The salad bar is fresh/crisp and kept that way by the workers, very nice to see this. The cooks enjoy their jobs and do them with expertise. And if your lucky the manager and his employees have fun conversation and really seem to love working together. We really love this place!

Just an awful place for a meal. The pizza is worse than frozen pizza. It’s basically cardboard with some canned toppings. Service is sorely lacking, and prices are outrageous for the quality. The dining area is dark and dingy...Cringy as my 13 year old daughter would say. Save yourself from a terrible dining experience and head to any other pizzeria in Salisbury. I don’t know how this place is even in business!

This doesn’t look like the Pizza Inn that was my hang out in the 70s. I have not been back to Salisbury in a long time don’t think this is even same location. The Village Inn I remember had rustic interior fireplace awesome pizzas and beer.

Probably won’t be back here for a while. My visit Sunday 1-6-19 was not a pleasant experience. Nothing wrong with the food, it was as good as ever, but the way I saw one employee treat customers including me was completely unacceptable. If you have rules, post a sign. There is NO need to be so rude to people patronizing your business. I literally saw the woman working the dining area make, not ask, someone to get up and go to another table. 😒 Shortly after that I was scolded like a child for setting a cup in a place she deemed inappropriate. I guess that’s why you pay before you eat here. 🤦‍♂️ Unbelievable.

The food has always been really good..!! I just hope nothing changes when the business changes hands. New owners arent always a good thing.

Village Inn is our favorite place to go for pizza. We visit Salisbury and Mooresville and the food and service is always great!!! Best pizza in both towns.

I just found out this location is under new management. Hell they need get rid of the new management and try again! It is Friday night and there were 4 pizzas on the buffet and they were burnt. Spaghetti sauce was nasty and noodles were dried out. This location is going to be like Mooresville very soon and that one is disgusting too. Where did the other manager go?

Needs to either lower the prices on the take out salad or get larger containers! Customers cant really make a full salad of their liking

The pizza was good and the salad bar had a ton of options. I especially liked the strawberry dessert pizza.This place gets two stars for the service. The woman running the register was the rudest person I’ve ever encountered in food service. This was our first visit, so we weren’t sure what to do. I asked her if it was seat yourself and she said “yes, good luck getting a table.” Then, after looking over their menu (has breadsticks on it), I asked if we could get an order of breadsticks and she replied “we don’t have those here,” in a rude tone. The entire time we tried to interact with her, she kept repeating our total and not really acknowledging us. She never once smiled and had a nasty look on her face the whole time. I later went back up to get a plate after we’d found a table. The plates are right beside the register. This employee was being just as rude to the people she was ringing up as she was to us. The man even said “wow, someone is in a bad mood tonight.” Then, as we were leaving, she was throwing pizza pans onto the buffet and huffing the whole time.Her service ruined the experience for us. I was surprised that her manager didn’t notice her behavior and do something about it. We will not be back.

The food was really good. Pizza was hot and the lettuce on the salad bar was fresh. They also had soup and spaghetti but I didnt try that. Maybe next time I will.
