We used them for a few months this summer. My husband called to get the unit and they didn’t give him a contract or offer insurance. We were busy moving to NC so unfortunately we forgot to follow up about paperwork. Then we spent one week in July moving in a lot of items to the unit. Things from the garage like tools, outdoor power equipment, etc. We went about 4 times Monday-Wednesday moving in truck loads of things. Then coincidentally…on Friday of that week we got a call at 11pm that our lock had been cut and we needed to come by the next morning to check what might have been taken. Did someone hop the fence? Seems unlikely and all those that enter have a unique code to get through the gates. They also said their cameras were too grainy at night. It was at that point that the worker offered my husband insurance…after we had been broken into. Luckily nothing was taken but materials from other units were put into ours. The police surmised that the person who cut the locks were setting it up to come back later. Needless to say we moved everything out that day after the police report. Super inconvenient.

I had the worse experience here. My items were at storage for almost 4 months. I never had any type of bug in my stuff. When I picked up my stuff, I had roaches in everything. I was so devastated and had to throw away a lot. I will never again use this place.

Great place for SU students to find all their storage needs, they even offer UHAUL which can be a huge help when moving from a dorm. The staff are very dedicated to helping their customers. I personally love that they sell boxes and other retail storage items, making it a one stop shop. The privately owned soda machine out front is also one of the coldest and cheapest I know of. It’s very nice to be able to buy a cold drink after moving into your unit in the summer heat. Definitely a great place to store things between semesters or even year round.

DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE UNIT. I RENTED A STORAGE UNIT FROM THIS PLACE FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS DUE TO THE COLLEGE CLOSING DOWN DUE TO COVID. RENT WAS ALWAYS ON TIME SOMETIMES MUCH EARLIER BEFORE THE DUE DATE. ONCE WE GOT THERE TO GET OUR CHILDS BELONGINGS WE DISCOVERED THAT EVERYTHING WAS INFESTED WITH MICE POOP, MICE PEE AND EVEN MICE HAD BABIES IN OUR BELONGINGS. WE WENT TO THE OFFICE ONCE TO ASK ABOUT A PLACE TO DISCARD THE THINGS. THE GUY TOLD ME THAT THEY WASNT ALLOWED TO LET ANYONE USE THEM. I TOLD HIM I WASNT PUTTING THE STUFF N MY CAR BECAUSE MICE CARRY DIEASES AND THAT IT COULD POSSIBLY STILL BE IN MY THINGS. ITS WASNT UNTIL THE SECOND TIME THAT SAME DAY AFTER GOING BACK TO OUR UNIT WE REALIZE HOW BAD IT WAS. ONCE BACK AT THE OFFICE THE GUY THAN TOLD US THAT THE PEOPLE THAT HAD A UNIT NEXT TO OURS THEY HAD TO PUT OUT BECAUSE THEY HAD A UNIT FILLED WITH BEANS N RICE. THEY SHOULDVE PICKED UP THE PHONE TO INFORM US SO WE COULD MAKE DECIDE IF WE WANTED TO DRIVE 3 HOURS TO MOVE OUR THINGS TO ANOTHER UNIT OR NOT. WE LOST OUT ON SO MUCH MONEY BECAUSE WE TRASH EVERYTHING. SCHOOL SUPPLIES, POT PANS, TOWELS, WASH CLOTHES, FUTON CHAIR, WATER TOILET PAPER, WINTER COATS, SHOES TOTES MUCH MORE. EVEN THOUGH WE DID HAVE INSURANCE ON THE UNIT BECAUSE WE DIDNT HAVE RECEIPTS ALL THEY WANTED TO OFFER US WAS 200.THE MOST THEY COVER IS 1000 AND WE STILL HAD TO PAY OUR Deductible would have been 100. so much for a storage unit. PARENTS FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO USE.. SCHOOL STARTED BACK AND GUESS WHAT WE HAD TO BUY EVERYTHING. I WISH COULD POST PICTURES AMD VIDEOS BUT FOR SOME REASON ITS NOT ALLOWING ME TO.

I have been renting storage spaces for many years and this is my choice storage to rent from way back from Uncle Bobs Storage to now it’s my preference the location is great very convenient and the storage units are clean and well kept but most of all I am a person of hospitality being a business owner myself I look for genuine care from other businesses no matter what type of business Tim at self storage is very kind and helpful every encounter I’ve had with him has been great if every storage place had courteous staff like Tim I would appreciate that and I know everyone else would as well!

The staff there is amazing. They went to great lengths to make sure I was happy. Ill definitely recommend it to others at SU

Travel from Ocean City MD, all the way to Salisbury just to drop off this trailer. This was a 40 minute drive back from where I came from. Needed a closer site to drop off trailers and trucks near Ocean City Md.
