Friday October 30th 2020One star and only one because it is necessary for writing a review.Ive never experienced this lack of quality and unprofessional pass the buck attitude. The owner has always (every time i need metal) been unconcerned with customer service. To the point of not trying to understand or resolve issues or needs. This is my last day dealing with him and his company.Tuesday October 27th 2020I ordered 18ga mild sheet metal. 2 pcs 5 wide 36.9 long2 pcs 5 wide 36.6 inches long. What I got was unbelievable to me and everyone I have spoken to about this place of business. The owner blames the help and argued that his laborers dont use decimal measurements. I asked him why they couldnt convert the measurements to fractions. His response was they arent machinist. I asked if they somehow read the tape measure wrong. His response was. They dont use a tape measures...Are you kidding me?Rather than try and explain it again to him (THE OWNER) I let.him know that I would simply come back to his shop and have the 4 pieces cut to the needed lengths. Upon arrival (just a few minutes of waiting)Im approached by two employees. The owner is peaking out of the office entrance at is. One employee pointed it out to me.One of the two men was the shear operator. I asked him what happened and what was said next will last forever in my mind.He said I looked at the order sheet and read 36 and 9.........I said THATS 45!He never missed beat.On to the next pieces. He said the other was 36 and 6.....I SAID THATS 42!ARE YOU KIDDING ME?HE explained that he had never gotten a shop ticket like that before and that was how he read it. I asked if they wanted a decimal equivalent chart? They didnt. They walked back to the Shear and I could see them looking it up on their phone. Now I know that math is optional in these times...So Im going to let it go.I know that .9 is 13/16ths & .6 is 9/16ths. (I use old world math) they came back with the 4 pieces and all 4 were still a good ¼ too long. Im fed up and trim them myself when I get home. This trip cost me $30.00 and at least an hour I didnt have to waste.Heres the part that killed all my camels 🐫. Crushed their spines.Today I called to request another 4 pcs. Same size.Tuesday the price was $30.00 as previously stated. Today, 3 days later. The owner answered the phone. The same thing is now $100.00This is not an embellished account. This really happened. Ive got my receipt.Ive been there probably 6 times prior to this. Not once have i not received some sort of grief from The OWNER.TODAY after he told me that they hadnt charged me enough (passing the blame yet again) and that it was $50.00 a sheet and $50.00 for use of the shear. I calmly told him that I cant deal with him anymore and I would sooner go to Canada and get it rather than ever deal with him again...No response, I waited. I ended the call.Glad there are positive reviews. Thats why I went there to begin with. Never again. You make your own decisions. Chuck Shelato
Would not suggest using them for any fabrication beyond basic level work. Dropped off parts to be made and 5 weeks later after hearing no word was told i did not provide enough info and to come pick the parts back up because they would be impossible to make . I provided as many details as i could to the only people on site when parts were delivered and left my number if further questions were needed. This shop shows a level of incompetence i would not trust my fabrication work to. I suggest using other reputable machine shops.
Excellent, timely service. They exhibit a level of expertise and professionalism hard to find today. Well equipped machine shop.
Always always willing to help. Great local source for your metal needs.
