After the antics that occur at this gas station tonight (May 11, 2021) I will NEVER purchase another drop of gasoline or item from this store ever again!I have been going to this BP gas station for YEARS! I’ve purchased gas on a weekly basis for at least the last 8 years since returning to Salisbury (but originally a customer from the late 1990’s). Knowing that there seems to be a short term gasoline shortage in the southeastern states of the US, this station whose typical hours indicate that they are open until 12am, appeared to alter the hours of operation with a simple handwritten notice taped to the front door stating that hours were temporarily changed to 10pm. Understandable, especially considering the circumstances of the day, no big deal! However, with vehicles at every pump, along with other potential customers in every line and this location being one of the very few in town to actually have gasoline, the attendants decided to cancel all of the transactions at the pumps and close the store at 9pm instead...without notifying the customers. Then, when I and other customers went to the door the two attendants responded by telling us they were closing at 9pm instead, even though the sign clearly stated 10pm and my transaction was started before 9pm they also added the taunting statement of “y’all should have gotten here earlier” while they laughed. This to me is an obvious neglect of customer service and respect for the individuals that were in need of a product that this BP store was obligated to sell until at least 10pm, as they had advertised.If the owner, the manager and the employees of this store don’t respect me at this moment then they don’t respect the money I earn and give to them on any other day or for any other situation. And they don’t deserve my business, my money or my customer loyalty...and they shouldn’t deserve yours either!!It’s a very sad day when a store (and the individuals who own this business) could have supported its customers and the community (which has supported its sales and resulted in it being a thriving business) but they decide to choose greed instead.UPDATE:5/12/2021: & proof that there is no respect for the customer...my bank card has a “charge hold” from this vendor, which typically indicated that there has been a transaction between my bank account and the service station.Ridiculous!!!
I went to this store yesterday and when I got home I was sick as a dog the man was new that was working and he touched my hand giving me change back and was not wearing no gloves
