Had the wonderful opportunity to purchase my first Martin guitar from S M Hanson. Selection and service were excellent. I had already done a lot of online research and comparison to narrow down my choices, and they had the exact model I was looking for (D16E) when nobody else local had them in stock.I was impressed by Rick and the service provided. I had called earlier in the day to verify they had what I was looking for in stock. It was a very short conversation, and I dont recall saying Id be coming in for sure, but when I came in later that day Rick greeted us as though hed been expecting us, even remebering what I was looking for. That in my opinion shows a commitment to the customer experience you dont find many places anymore.With the awesome adjustment warranty on guitars, the great selection, and impeccable service, S M Hanson went above and beyond and certainly gained a loyal customer today.

I walked in not really knowing what to expect, but I left very impressed! Everyone that worked there was very knowledgeable about the equipment they had and they were very friendly! If I lived here this would be my spot!

Im a die-hard RegalTip drumstick fan. Ive been using them for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, RegalTip shut down the line to re-tool (at least thats the word on the street), and my favorite sizes (Jazz and Combo) are very hard to find now. Then I run into SM Hanson Music. They have the Jazz model in stock, and at a GREAT price. So I ordered, and got them really fast! Kudos to the SM Hanson team. I highly recommend, and will be back again and again.

It had a decent selection of guitars and amps. The guy that works there is tall and on the heavy side. He was educated about the instruments but I found him following me like a puppy with every step. I can never get any time to myself to browse without feeling like he was right there behind me. It wasnt welcoming the experience and all but he was knowledgeable. Ill give the store five-star review because of what they have to offer but I almost felt like I was being pushed to buy an instrument.

First of all, the lifetime adjustment warranty for guitars is an exceptional service that I want to mention here because I havent seen it in the recent reviews or on their site. You will want to ask about it especially if youre buying a beginner guitar or a lower priced guitar.The staff was attentive and helpful without being pushy in helping me narrow down my choices for a guitar. They were also helpful when checking out by having my receipts, warranty info and rebate organized for me. There was a surprising amount of inventory in the store for what appeared to more of a small shop on the outside.It was worth the drive from Wichita to demo before I bought and I enjoyed shopping at this helpful, locally owned business.

Love this place! Have bought several instruments and accessories and been very pleased! The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful and they remember their customers. Im always asked how Im liking my piano and my guitar and they always know what I need even if Im not sure! Great place!

I called S M Hanson Music today in search of some new drum equipment. They were helpful over the phone and then I was greeted as soon as I arrived in store. They gave me great customer service and I left with some quality products.

I believe I have been here once before for a tuning job on my old violin but not sure. But by the reviews you guys sure do a great job. Im hsvent played violin for 5 years due to my 2 or 3 violins being stolen but Im wanting to get back into it. Cant wait to come in an buy my own birthday present lol. Been wanting one for a looooong time.

The man behind the scene check my guitar just like new he is Pleasant to talk to he knows what hes talking about and he can fix your guitar to one of very few people that listen to you who didnt steer me wrong and the price is right and if you have a problem thats what I take mine

I went to this store yesterday and bought a gorgeous guitar from a very knowledgeable and friendly guy by the name of Ryan. He answered all of my questions and helped me find the right guitar for my price range. This store offered a great selection and excellent customer service! I will be back!

I went in for a set of strings, had decided to see what the store off the beaten path was like. Holy cow, what a store! Besides great help, they have an amazing inventory. Im looking forward to the next time to be able to spend some time in the store.

Very professional and tidily organized small shop. I had a lot of fun on the electric drums. Also polite staff, I was very comfortable with my company. This place has great selection, but the best part about this shop that puts them over anyone else in town is their staff. Very friendly, very knowledgeable, and willing to just answer all the questions you have (without pressuring you to buy anything).They are a great source of knowledge for instrument construction, playing, and just about anything you can think of ( IV asked them quite a bit).Worth visiting, I learn something new every time I go there.

Great service. Prices are roughly competitive even with the big online music suppliers. Great personal and knowledgeable staff. Great to play before you buy. I like the more industrial part of town myself, but dont be put off if that isnt your thing. This looks like an industrial supply store, but is a classy music shop inside.

I had a wonderful experience with Gary here at this store. It was obvious he loved his job. And was very excited to share all the knowledge he had about guitars without being overbearing. Quick in helping me explore my options as far as strings and pick-ups to help me find what I needed.I wish I lived in the area to make this my regular music store.

My husband is an avid musician and we both visit this location often. They are very easy to work with (they have a flexible layaway option), and the folks there are always willing to answer any questions in as much detail as you want - they know their stuff! And of course theyll let you test the wares to your hearts content, which means my husband has spent HOURS here before trying all the unique guitars.

You will not find a more knowledgeable or helpful music store staff than these people. They have the utmost expertise and they dont act like a bunch of snobs like you find in some instrumental music shops. They not only make your shopping experience great but they also make sure that your musical experience is the best possible.

I went in to have my electric guitar looked at. At first, the technician didnt see anything wrong. We were talking about my issues with it when I went in to pick it up. The second look through, he found a tiny flaw in the ground wire and promptly fixed it. Im glad he chose to look at it a second time. They are also willing to try and find obscure guitar tabs for you.

Guitar repair and maintenance staff is very knowledgable and skilled. Had them go through a vintage fender and the results were great. I also had a broken tuning machine knob on my Takamine and they shipped me a new one at no charge. Have worked with them and purchased sound equipment as well, including a large auditorium system with a mixing board. Service and support after the sale is excellent. Staff have been nothing but friendly in person and over the phone. When it comes to purchasing high quality equipment, you want a local source. Prices are very competitive. Truly a jewel of a music store!

It was so nice to find a full service music store that had instrument reeds in stock. They also went beyond the call of duty by mailing our purchase (that we left at a local restaurant) to us! Thats what we call customer service!!
