I think the burger is reasonably good, but not the best. I had the poutine fries - whilst the fries itself was cooked well and the cheese sauce was delicious, the addition of chicken gravy made the whole thing so salty and the black sesame gave it a strange combination of taste, probably because there are too much going on in a plate. Otherwise I enjoyed the dining vibe in the restaurant and the staff are absolutely lovely.

Burger restaurant in the middle of Bristol. They have both outside and inside seating, although the outside seating is not covered. The inside is not too large, but there is extra seating upstairs. Service was quite slow. The size of their sauces is quite small, and you need two to go through all of your fries. Id say theyre still one of the best in central Bristol, but used to be better a couple years ago.

Excellent Service.Had a starter of Korean Chicken Bites, which Id highly recommend to anyone who likes a little spice!For main I had the Sheriff (replaced BBQ with garlic mayo) and it was AMAZING!Burgers dont come with chips but it isnt expensive and they are BIG (see picture) so Id say worth it 100%.Finally the excellent service staff (just the 1!) who was on her feet the whole time and was very helpful, and the restaurant even supplied blankets (outside seating during covid).If youre thinking of coming here, DO!

Awful. Food is decent and spent over £200 here in 1 month. Called up to book a click and collect and was told by Annie she was going to serve a table and will come and take my order in 2 minutes. Left on hold for an hour before giving up.Got a call back an hour after that saying sorry and that she forgot I was on hold.Complained via social media and was told after 2 months of waiting that no compensation, discount or any good will gesture could be given as I had an apology.I wish an hour of everyone’s time was worth a 5 letter word but it really isn’t. Very poor customer service, wouldn’t go back. Shambolic management

Burgers were good but definitely not the best. The chicken burger was a little over done so was a bit dry. They have their own version of ketchup which is a little alien to ketchup, and that was all over my beef burger. Would eat if I was hungry but probably won’t come back.

The server was great and provided brilliant recommendations, along with being super friendly and quick. The burgers were fantastic and unique, which is always a draw for me, and the guest beers both complimentary and delicious. Will definitely be coming back!

Woow, it was soo good! I took veggie cheesee burger with fries. Burger has a nice size, you can feel you have eaten a meal. Patty is juicy and taste just like beef burger. Fries are crispy and well salted.For sure gonna buy again!

First time at Burger Theory today and it was great! Christmas time so they had their Christmas menu. The Christmas burger was amazing and the pigs in gravy were even better! If you get chance to go this festive period do it! Id advise booking though!

Not worth the hype at all!From Newcastle to Bristol! Google for the best burger in Bristol and this place is raved!! We came here on Monday, waited for 1 hour for the food. Beef burger was too dry. Only fries were yummy, super crispy. Staff was really friendly though. But only one person served the whole restaurant!?!? Cant understand it.Will we come back again? No, never again!

First time eating here. They forgot our chicken fries and wouldn’t amend this, forgot sauces and the burger was rock-solid. Burnt to a crisp and difficult to eat. £60 for 2 burnt burgers? No thanks, try any other burger joint in Bristol.

Due to restrictions place needs prior reservation..if not you might not get seats and have to get takeout. But the southern fried chicken burger with blue cheese was really good.

I had a great visit here, the food was really good and well presented. The space was designed well and clean, during my stay the staff spoke well, very impressed with Burger Theory. The main thing I was impressed by was the music playlist that they played, created a great environment and would love to be able to find it on spotify. They offer a daily special which you can try, I would recommend to anyone looking for some good food

Went up to this stall to ask for sweet chilli sauce, one lady answered me and said they didnt have any but seconds later another lady staribg at me with a frown shouted out they are not even our chips because I was holding some cheesy chips in my hand, to which I replied its only a bit of sauce... I was actually looking to purchase a drink as well as some sweet chili sauce but because of the very poor attitude of the staff and zero customer service from the second lady I wouldnt buy anything from this place now out of principal, they should know that a bit of kindness goes a long way for their reputation

An excellent burger joint. The food was really tasty, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The food also arrived quite quickly. Definitely not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

The food was great, albeit the delay between the burgers and the fries was the longest three minutes of my of my life. The coke was as weak as American beer and the “can of lemonade” was a sprite…In short tasty food, but let down by the service and whoever was responsible for the carbonated drink tap’s syrup levels.

Not many burger place can fill my stomach full up, but Burger Theory can do just that. Burgers are big and filling, great taste, and friendly staff. I’ll be back for more!

The food was really good and came out really quickly. Good music played and nice decorations, but the atmosphere was a bit dead as there was no one else there.

Love love loved this burger! I’m sad I didn’t take pictures of all the food, my partner had the classic theory burger and I had the southern hippie burger. By far the best burgers we have ever tasted it was honestly so delicious. We are actually from London and to be away from home and find such a delicious burger place, hats off to you guys!!!! Made our trip to Bristol even better thank you from deep in our happy belly’s ;)

One of the best burgers in Bristol. The atmosphere is good and the staff are friendly and helpful. Been here a couple of times. If in a group it can take a while for the food to come out. I also not a fan of lettuce on dirty chips. Dirty chips are meant to be filthy.

Burger Theory is the best burger place in Bristol hands down. Its quite a long wait there compared to other restaurants but definitely worth it. And if a perfected loaded burger wont fill you up - get yourself a milkshake 😅 this tops everything like a cherry on a cake 🍰🍒😜

Went here to spend Friday night. Chilly coconut cocktail is an surprising choice and it tastes good. The chessy chicken burger’s taste is a little similar to Korean Fried Chicken, so I would recommend only order one of those in one time. But the chessy chicken burger is juicy and sooo good. Besides, the halloumi fries are served with mint, garlic and decorated with pomegranate.

Absolutely incredible chicken burgers. Spicy Korean starter was fiery in flavour, and well worth trying.The blue cheese and hot sauce on one burger was the perfect balance, with the bacon on the other burger smokey and crispy.The only down side was the lack of squid available. It simply means we have to go back.

Visited this restaurant with my son this evening … we ordered drinks and burgers. The restaurant wasn’t too busy … waited quite a while for the food - food was ok. When it came to the bill it was more expensive than I was expecting I paid and checked the receipt after. Noticed I had been charged a higher price for my son’s coke than the £3.00 stated on the menu. Queried this with the waitress as a matter of principle - she replied that it was because my son had had a pint of Diet Coke …. I had just ordered the drink from the menu with no discussion of size or price. Waitress said she would refer to next in charge who then came to explain that there was nothing they could do as my son had drunk the drink. In addition there was an ‘optional service charge’ of 10% which doesn’t feel at all optional as was already added. I would definitely not return to this restaurant with such appalling customer service and unclear pricing. This incident definitely overshadowed our experience.

Quality burger restaurant, one of the best in Bristol. They have some real decent options, the different combinations of sauces as well. I had a Prairie girl burger and that was great. The dirty fries are tasty and again the mixture of flavours were equally as tasty. The service was informative and very friendly. I would recommend this place.

The whole floor was manned by a single waitress; it took twenty minutes to be brought a menu, and then another twenty minutes until the drinks followed. We were brought the wrong starter, followed by an alternative starter because the one we had ordered had run out. We were then offered dessert only to then be informed that they had also run out of the single dessert item that they offer. Finally, we were billed for the starter that we hadnt received. The food in general was very mediocre.

The chicken karaage at Burger Theory is atypical to what I usually imagine. More flavourful since it is coated in a sticky sweet glaze and served on a bed of crispy fries. Although it is marked as a spicy dish, I found the heat to be mild - myself being on the very low end of tolerance. Saucy, crunchy and a good portion of chips. I only wish they were generous with chicken. I counted four bites and it came to £7.50. Waiting staff were decent all-round but a tad slow on bringing the card machine so we could pay.

Well respected burger restaurant. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I thought the food was just ok and nothing too special.

Service was really good with it being busy also. Later in the eve saw lots of customers turned away as they were full so book early.Starters were OK onion rings were huge and had a good taste the Korean chicken was very hot and spicy a lot more than would expect from a one chillies mark on the menu. If you dont like to much heat I would avoid. Blue cow burger was OK good flavours but far to much salt. Salty bacon. Cheese and extra in the burgers. Was OK at time but have found myself drinking lots of water over night as suffering from the salt. The sheriff burger was also very tasty and didnt taste to salty but same effect of to much salt for my partner. We did talk with Sam after the meal and I mentioned this he joked that it encouraged people to have more drinks, may have taken it onboard? Fries were nice chillies fries had a slow roasted sweat flavor meat again with lots of hot raw chillies. Skin ones were also nice garlic dip was very over powering home made but a little to strong I had a small amount on my little finger and could still taste it minutes later. Toilets were very small in mens one cubical and one urinal ladies two cubicles sinks to wash hands were small with a few paper towels. Was more about seating than services. On the night I would have scored 4/5 but following the dehydration from salt they get a 3 still one of the top burger spots in Bristol but be sure to. Check out some of the others.

The best burgers i have eaten in ages. Cooked perfectly for a soft and delicious burger that is not over seasoned. Creative combinations too. The kimcheese is awesome.

The quality of the food is really good. The meal was delicious. Theres a good selection on the drinks menu. Nice draught beers. Lots of Vegan options if thats your thing. Service was good. In my opinion its really good quality but too expensive for a burger joint.

Food took over an hour to go to us, our waiter was really awkward and lacking in energy, enthusiasm or making any conversation at all. Strange because everyone elses waiter seemed very friendly

Was offered a seat at the corner table which had cushions. The sight of blankets for use - if you feel cold - was a pleasant surprise. We were warmly welcomed by Charlie who was friendly and chirpy, with a contagious energy. We ordered Prairie Girl and Hey Tempeh with a side of Fries and Dirty Sauce. Loved the combination of flavors and fresh ingredients. Certainly a 5 star for the food. If the manager is reading this, hope to win the £50 for the paper survey we filled out. Will be back soon.

Burger theory wings have been my favourite for a while now but have been getting progressively colder, smaller and fewer over the past 12 months. Tonight they arrived practically stone cold and when I rang to tell them they fobbed me off to Deliveroo who have said they’d get back to me in 48 hours and are notorious for giving a refund for this kind of thing. Loyal customer lost!

Poor waitering service, food poisoning, charges, poutine but good customer service and tasted okay.Me and a friend were catching up over some burgers, the server gave us the wrong burgers and we engaged with each other and didnt notice until we took a bite into the burger. Realising we got given the wrong burgers I asked to get mine remade. Which was fine, the staff were accommodating.A foreign carbon offset charge was added on the bill.Their poutine was made by grilling cheese onto the fries and adding a runny gravy that just ran off of any fries and just soaked the ones on the bottom. Far from the real stuff. Im not Canadian but I was disappointed on their behalf. I would be surprised if Canadians didnt get slightly offended by this representation of one their dishes.Me and my friend both had a bad case of food poisoning following this meal. Note only I returned my meal, my friend was content with eating the burger that was mistakenly given to him.As for the taste of the food, it was a good attempt of breaking away from the typical burger taste. If we hadnt become ill from eating it, we would probably have decided to give it a second try.

Spontaneous visit with my friend. The staff is very friendly they make sure you feel good. Their special rum slushy have a really strong punch! Nice new restaurant and really friendly staff. This is the world of the gourmet burger and they are smashing it.I went for a chicken burger called The Prairie Girl, which was very good, although there was a bit too much vinegary hot sauce in it, which slightly demolished all the other flavours. We shared kimchi fries, which were very good, definitely sharing sized portion. Looking forward to trying another of their burgers soon!

Right in the centre of Bristol, this burger bar is without a doubt one of the best! Acclaimed, tried and tested, you have my word they are worth it. Good selection of burgers and drinks including several on tap and more as tinnies. Staff are nice and aesthetics are pleasing.

So I know theres a myriad of burger places in Bristol now but this one really does have some unique burgers! Its a friendly little place just off Baldwin street, would recommend the KFC - Korean Fried Chicken.

Good burger (vegie mashroom one :)! But there were a bit too pricy (£10 without sides)and the chips for £3 were not enough with sauce very tinny too :( I wish there is student discount for weekly dinner (went on Tuesday at 19:00) or with same price to have choices of fries or salad included! But burger quality was good so left it as 4 :)
