Had the Biasi vegan breakfast sandwich this morning and it was amazing! This is fine dining disguised as sandwiches. We asked for hot sauce and they gave us an incredible house-made pepper sauce! So good!

Love the Valiant! The sandwiches are great and the service is always friendly and helpful. Today the Halpert was fantastic. Tuna salad made fresh while I waited. Warm sandwiches take a minute so give yourself time. They are worth it.

Great food and a fun environment! We did have a wait a while for our food but it tasted great! The fries had a hint of lime to them which was a great addition! I had the shiiitake mushroom sandwich and my wife had the breakfast club sandwich. We plan on coming back at some point!

Beautiful setting close to downtown, quiet and tranquil, next to the creek.The mocha and gold member were perfectly brewed. The sandwiches we ordered for breakfast were made with thought and love by the owner. Everything was packed with flavor and balanced for the palate. I highly recommend this spot and will be frequenting it myself for breakfast regularly.

Nice location. Indoor and outdoor seating. The food is definitely fresh like the veggies were just picked! The Reuben is what I recommend trying out! The valiant sauce is special on the potato wedgies. It’s a must visit in Salem. Service was great as well. Takes a little longer to get your food because they are making it to order, but that means the quality is better and it was worth the wait.

Amazing food! The vegan options are phenomenal. I love the Biasi breakfast sandwich, and my non-veg fiancé got the vegan Bahn Mi and loved it as well! Will definitely keep coming back.

I accidentally found this place looking for something else. I ordered it from the website. It was quickly delivered to my work. I got the Cuban which I have never had. It was fabulous. I am so happy I choose this place to try. Then we got the burger. It was also really yummy just a little heavy. I will definitely be back for more. The pricing was okay not too high. But really good.

Finally made it over to Pringle Park Plaza to try the new sandwich shop!I ordered the special: Banh Mi-ish 2.0 which had meatballs glazed in Avid Cider Company’s DragonfruitCider and sweet chili sauce, big pieces of cucumbers, house pickled carrots & jalapeños, cilantro, spicy Mayo, on bollilo bread! The sandwich also came with a side which I chose the brussel sprout slaw — as well as an iced red chai because it was such a hot day!Oh man. I was super hungry and really excited to have a banh mi! It was sooo tasty and actually had some spice kick from the jalapeños! 👏 The chai was yummy and gone within minutes. The sandwich was so good, my only complaint is that it wasn’t a foot long lol! I gave half to my Vietnamese friend and she really enjoyed it too! It was nice to have a side as well, but I really hope they can put this banh mi version on the menu because I want more of them!Either way I’ll be back to try the rest of the menu!! So delish

Struggled to find it for a few minutes then saw the sign. Ordered online and picked up the turkey sandwich, some potato wedges with valiant sauce. Sandwich was good, plenty of goat cheese and meat on the sandwich. The roll was pretty flakey and made a mess. Wouldnt be my daily sandwich but when Im in the mood for something special, Id go back here.

Absolutely worth the hype and the price. These are not sandwiches you or I would probably ever attempt at home (and I’m a pretty adventurous cook). They’re super inventive and a real treat.We got the Self-Titled Turkey and the Robert Paulson. Both fantastic. Our kiddo loved the Baby Farley.10/10 will be back.

This was the best sandwich Ive had in a very long time. The corned beef was phenomenal. The pickled cabbage was just right. The bread, however, was way too hard on the crust. It was like an oily crouton all around the edges. It was great bread otherwise.

Absolutely amazing for a young business. I went here with my boss when they just opened a while back and the people were super nice. The people leaving low scores on this place need to cut them a break. The food is good and interesting and they have very great drinks. I love the rustic look as well. Its very carefree and gives off a good energy.

Ive been meaning to try Valiant since it opened but never made it that way for various reasons. I finally got to try it today and Im kicking myself for not going sooner. First, the staff was super friendly. Second, the cheesesteak I had was on par with Epilogue and Ive long considered theirs the best in Salem. The tomato soup was phenomenal. They also let me sample a new sandwich theyre planning to roll out and that was fantastic, as well.Now I need to go back and try all the other sandwiches that sound super good.

Love this place. Delivery via GrubHub/Seamless is crazy fast. Weve ordered almost everything on the menu. Its all very good, fries are great. No name roast beef is my favorite. My wife always orders the happy wife. Youre welcome.

Absolutely fantastic sandwiches! Everything we have had from Valiant, both breakfast and lunch, has been amazing. Also, great services every single time. It feels like the people working there actually want to be there and are happy to help! As an added bonus: my 3 year old will eat everything on the kids menu with zero complaint. Amazing!! The food here is as amazing as the people who work here. This place is AWESOME! priced right and the food is delicious! My wife can be...well...let say she is very discerning when it comes to eating out. We will definitely be back to try some of the other menus items. The staff is very friendly and the owner, Joshua, has a passion for his business and it shows.

Hands down the best breakfast burrito I have ever had “Lockdown burrito” incredible amount of flavor and protein. Also tried the mung beans instead of egg and was pleasantly surprised! Very impressed. Excited to try everything on the menu.

By far the best vegan sandwich in Salem. My husband is an incredibly picky eater and we rarely find restaurants he likes let alone one we BOTH like, one that serves equally delicious vegan and meat dishes. The owner Josh is passionate about the food he serves and it shows. I cant recommend them enough!

Let me just say, the owner is doing an incredible job. Such a nice dude with a chefs brain. He greeted us and I told him how Id been drooling over his Instagram page for weeks, showed him the photo that got me, and he got my order in. Ive seen some drool-worthy photos come out of this place, so of course, I had to try it for myself. I got the Proper Biscuit sandwich with gravy on top. He told us about his gravy recipe and the story alone sets it apart, not to mention the flavor! Delicious isnt strong enough of a word. Today was their first day being open on a Sunday! The food was phenomenal, the owner was wonderful, and my belly is happy. 10/10 would recommend again and again. I will be back for that OlGreg.

The Reuben was great, they were out of sauerkraut, but had a chef special in its place, delish! The potato wedgies were tasty. The Farley burger was the cheesiest cheese burger, 10/10 per my husband.

Ive ordered random items from the menu to try new things. Everything tastes amazing! A couple of things were a bit too spicy for me, but the flavors were absolutely incredible. Customer service and their coffee are always very good.

My boyfriend and I ordered the hot steak sandwich and the jam. We came home and where very excited to try it . It had way to many off putting seasonings, had way to much sauce and the bread was soggy. The fries also had a boat load of seasoning and a fishy taste.The ranch was very sweet and runny. In the end my food cost was 32.00 plus tip, was very over priced for only half a sandwich and a small amount of fries. Throwing up there food now 😳

Valiant is a great little bistro. The owner/chef makes some great combinations. Friendly staff and outdoor seating (with heaters).

The sandwiches were absolutely huge! The grilled bread on the hot sandwiches was outstanding. My husband said the Ruben was the best he had ever tasted. The roasted red pepper soup was delicious and the potatoes wedges had a little kick. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was it was rather cold inside and the service could have been faster. Overall, a great meal and will be going back.

My personal experience is stopping in for a single coffee. The floor was so dirty my shoes stuck to the floor. It was 8 am and there were still dirty dishes in the busing area which was in plain sight. The coffee was ok, not great, not terrible. I hope they can give the place a good scrub down so it will feel fresh and clean.

Ive tried them before they re-branded and today with their new ownership and both times my sandwiches have not been good at all. Maybe Im ordering the wrong thing reading the rest of the reviews, but I just ordered their equivalent of the philly cheese steak and I couldnt even finish it. Greasy, sloppy and with poor quality meat. I feel bad even writing this review as I know its been a struggle for small business this year but if youre going to serve a sandwich of such low quality and charge $14 for it Ive got to leave honest feedback. Im not even a picky eater but I wont be back, was that bad.

Literally the TWO best sandwiches I’ve ever tasted. The Rueben is now the benchmark by which we judge all other ruebens. My husband literally said, “I think I need a cigarette after eating that and I don’t even smoke.” The Bahn Mi was also incredible and stacks up to some of the best.

Great sandwiches, local place with a nice seating area and outdoor seating as well. Well worth the trip as I will be back!

I had the roast beef sandwich needs no name. It was pretty good. The honey mustard or whatever was very good. I also got the Potato wedges, well worth the $1 upgrade.

I have nearly been cited for public indecency with the sounds of satisfaction I emitted while eating such a delicious sandwich (sorry not sorry). Walking by I see a smoker in the back area they use, so I can tell these guys are proper meat handlers (sorry not sorry again). The chefs are rendering their fats correctly, making for some ridiculously tender meats, meanwhile supplementing with delicious seasonings and sauces.I highly suggest to anyone to give this fabulous sandwich shop an entry to your shortlist for lunch time grubs. Their online ordering system is fast and easy and doesnt require registration, its super easy to order lunch online.To Valiant- If I didnt work so closely Id never had heard of you guys, Because of that I give you Hidden Gem status. Just plane gross, I had high hopes for this place. In the end redicoulously over priced, $18 dollars for half a sandwhich really. And way too much sauce and the seasoning was way too much and not pleasant. Together me and my gf spent $32 for her too throw up from this greasey establishment. Fries also tasted rather fishy.

The decor can use a major upgrade, but the Mostly Cubano sandwich was delicious. They make it with the traditional ham, mustard and pickles, but they use pork belly instead or roast pork. Very nice touch! The Oh Shiitake sandwich is also delicious. A fancy take on the mushroom burger.

The Farley burger was amazing, hands down! Its what you should expect of a burger, juicy, thick, and a real American classic!

It is amazing! Unlike many restaurants, the photos are accurate representations of their sandwiches. They all sounded fantastic making a choice difficult but I had the Like a Reuben, my wife had the Coxtolstoys Hot Cheese Steak and my daughter had the Oh Shiitake! Smash Melt. We all had bites of each others sandwiches and they were great. I would recommend them whole heartedly.

We were excited to try this place today but while waiting in line to order we noticed that the person preparing food was not wearing a face mask. We noped out of there quickly. Its still a pandemic. Face coverings are still required unless Im mistaken. 4/6/2021

The tea lattes are so good! Red chai is bomb and the lavender fog (I got half sweet) is superb. Kudos to them for opening during covid. Staff is super friendly too.

We are on a Seattle - San Diego road trip and we were trying to find a place to get a quick to go order and get back on the road to make it to our next destination and let me tell you.... this detour was literally the best thing that could’ve happened to us on a smoky day like today. This place made THE BEST SANDWICHES we’ve ever had! Take out service was also quick & easy and they were super nice.I got the No. 5 which is a cold cut chicken sandwich with the usual veggies but the valiant sauce was unbelievable. The chicken wasn’t dry and it was super flavorful. My partner got the beef belly reuben and he said it was the best reuben sandwich he’s ever had. The beef belly meat was so tender and delicious.We have no regrets taking a small 10 min detour from I-5 to eat here. Will definitely be back if we’re ever in Salem again. Also, I should’ve known that this place would hit different because it’s located in a park plaza. You can always find hole in the wall shops at park plazas. 10 out of 10!!!!

You can tell that the owner is very passionate about quality ingredient & ridiculous sandwiches. The food is always whimsical & tasty af with combinations that I would never think of. It’s so hard to choose between a favorite or trying a new special, but the new tuna melt is a life changer & the Farley is artery cloggin’ finger lock-in’ good. Staff goes above & beyond to provide a positive experience. I look forward to sitting down for lunch sometime soon!

Weve stopped for coffee a couple of times (and it was very good), but this was our first hot sandwich and it was DELICIOUS! GOD this place is great. We had the Almost-Banh Mi and the Rodney, which is a pseudo-fried chicken sandwich with tofu. They were flawless, exactly how you want them to be, with great flavors and texture without being too greasy.The service was also great; even though there was only one person at the register and clearing tables, he took the time to make sure we were comfortable.

Hands down best breakfast biscuit! Take my money literally. Great stop for lunch.

I had heard about this place and had seen the menu, but I was a little hesitant to try it due to the prices. However, I wish that I had tried it sooner, as the food here is AMAZING! My wife. And I shared the Take My Money and LaBeef breakfast sandwiches, which both come with breakfast potatoes. The LaBeef is a savory marvel, full of rich flavor. The egg yolk was oozing out, and it looked like it was a farm fresh egg. The Take My Money has a sausage patty that is not salty like I expected, but more savory. The sandwich also has chorizo jam and pickled jalapeños, for a sweet and spicy combination. Both sandwiches were absolutely delicious! The breakfast potatoes were good, but our server asked if we wanted some Valiant sauce. We asked what that was, and she described it as ranch with horseradish. Its the perfect thing to kick the potatoes from good to absolutely delicious! One last thing- the portions may not look all that big, even when you get it, but I am a big eater and almost couldnt find room for the last couple of bites. I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend!

So good! Food was incredible and the gluten free bread is honestly the best in Salem. The service was a bit lacking just in the sense of how long it took to get our food. We waited about 30 min, which is not bad for a dinner place, but for a lunch type location where customers will typically only have one hour to spend on lunch, every minute counts. But the wait truly was worth it, the food is even better than it looks!

When we went they were out of multiple ingredients which meant 4 sandwiches were not available (out of like 10 sandwiches total). The cashier did not put napkins or a spoon (for soup) in our to-go bags so we had to go back to get them. Some of the tables/benches are literally ply wood nailed to the wall. And to top it off the food was just not very good. Not going back.

SO GOOD!! We had the Cubano and Hot Not Hot and they were both AMAZING! In fact, I’ve thought about that sandwich many times since eating it 😂 I chose the slaw for my side and it was some of the best I’ve ever had! The owner was working and he was so helpful and nice. Definitely a new favorite!

Very good sandwich and some different flavors than what you can get elsewhere. A bit spendy for what you get but well worth a trip.

I was excited to try the sandwiches here.I got the number 5, a fancy BLT with avocado and chicken thigh. It was delicious and I loved the sauce on it! The potato salad and Brussels slaw were just okay. The potato wedgies were yummy. The whole ordering process was nice and easy. The only problem I had was that I couldnt order on my phone because it said I had a billing address error. Just got on my laptop to order, easy peasy, and the curbside pickup was very easy and convenient!
