This place offers beer and wine breakfast they have lots of gluten-free options far as Crepes go. They were very busy our waiter was just wonderful but we had a couple other negative encounters with staff probably overworked and stressed out with incredibly busy in Salem. I think at another time I would’ve given this restaurant at much higher review. Overall everyone in Salem seemed very respectful as far as Covid goes I ran into a few people without masks although we were mostly outside where it didn’t matter.

LOVE we came for breakfast, the crepes were amazing. Coffee selections are great and taste amazing-definitely quality. We came back again for late night drinks to warm up after walking around in the rain. The London fog tastes like fruit loops and the Hazel Cafe was delicious. If we lived locally wed be here all the time. The atmosphere is super chill and cozy.

I cant really complain. I dont like to wait in line, but we were visiting on a Sunday in October and this place is right on the main strip in Salem. The host admitted that there was only one cook in the kitchen. Clearly they were doing their best, but they were short staffed. The food isnt fancy, but its honest and fairly priced. Coffee is good.

Me and my wife went here the week after Halloween around 9am and there was no wait at all. It seemed short staffed as Robert who was the host was also our server and told us when we walked in that he was the only one working for a good half hour until more servers would arrive.I ordered the Berry Nice crepe which came with blueberries, strawberries, honey, and yogurt. The issue was that the crepe was swimming in a huge pool of yogurt and honey. So much so that it spilled over the side of the plate. I could barely taste anything else except the yogurt. My wife got the breakfast crepe with onions and bacon which was fine but the egg was a bit dry and it didnt seem like any onion was actually in it, or if there was some then it was hard to find. My hot apple cider was delicious though and so was her mimosa.

Amazing selection of brews and a very delightful interior. We grabbed the cluck Norris and a crepe for some light eats and both were right on point. They have some board games and card games if you want to enjoy a nice drink or tea with some friends. Music playing was a nice listen as well.Hosts and hostesses were very friendly, even with the large influx of patrons due to the season, they kept their upbeat and friendly attitude and should be commended for dealing with some of the patrons. Will definitely visit again, most likely when the streets aren’t swamped with people as their can be a bit of a wait otherwise.

I get that it’s going to be busy on Halloween weekend, but if you have 5 tables and they are all in a row, you should be able to check on the tables. I think we were spoken to twice in a hour while waiting for our check for over twenty minutes. I feel like I had to flag this guy down as he walked by me over 10 times. So annoying. Our plates are stacked, our jackets are one and we are just waiting.Food was regular, my spiked cider was good.

A nice cafe that is obviously short-staffed but doing their best to deliver a good experience amid a pandemic. The menu underwhelmed me and wasnt really anything to write home about, but the air conditioning was strong on the sweltering summer day we stopped in and that was honestly all I cared about at the time. I loved their gender neutral bathrooms, as well as the fact that the last bathroom is priority for their staff. Overall it seems like a nice place that is rooted in the community. To start, I will say I am in the F&B industry. I understand the staffing shortages. Initially upon reading reviews it seems like this place may be good for breakfast. I was wrong. There was a short wait to be seated. Not a big deal at all. After finally being seated, it took 30 minutes to even be acknowledged by the staff. Zero eye contact, no “ I’ll be right with you.”…nothing. My girlfriend eventually went to the host stand to ask where our sever was. She was told, “ We just seated a lot of people.” Finally we were approached by our sever. We we rushed into a drink and food order. Another 30 minutes later finally got our food. Mind you it was simple breakfast food. Over an hour for eggs sausage toast, a waffle bacon and more eggs. Both of our plates were cold and missing simple items like and butter.Bathrooms were trashed, no paper towel. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go here for breakfast unless you want to have a terrible experience.

I completely understand the service worker shortage and it’s busy. We called right before we parked and there was no wait. We arrived and it was a 30-35 minute wait and we gave them out phone number. We were fine with this and plus it was early and there wasn’t many people around yet. We waited an hour, asked about our table for two and we were told we were next. The host came up and asked for our name and phone number. He didn’t have it and said he probably entered it in wrong. He sat us down immediately and said sorry. We sat there for fifteen minutes and no waitress or waiter came up. The host came up and said someone would be there soon. A few minutes later, a waitress came up and started taking our order. Before I could finish ordering, she told us about the wait time for food which is 45 minutes. We told her no and got up. Before we left, she said sorry but its been busy. We are aware of this but I guess she didn’t know they lost of phone number and we were waiting for over an hour…

Subpar food and awful service. No one was at the hostess stand to seat us and our food took 40 minutes to come out. The waitstaff don’t pay attention to you and one was quiet unfriendly. They made a minor mistake and didn’t even apologize for it. I don’t recommend eating here considering that there are better places in Salem. I know the pandemic has taken its toll on restaurants but that’s no excuse for poor customer service. The vegan mac and cheese in this photo was for takeout and it looks like they just splashed it into the box.

Advertised as takeout or dine-in. Be forewarned, take is only beverages per management. Tried for takeout of food items and was told No. Tried to sit and order food and was told No. I guess that explains ALL the empty seats as none was forthcoming from the host. There were only a few people taking up tables on laptops in the restaurant on this Monday mid-afternoon. Certainly a slow time for staff. Would have thought with all the empty seats, management would have welcomed paying customers.

After waiting 15 minutes the lead waiter finally came to take our order. We placed our order and then waited another 30 minutes. It turns out the lead waiter forgot to put our order in, while facing us eating his own breakfast... When the food finally did show up the orders were wrong and the server picked up one of the plates and our food slid off the plate and she pushed it back onto the plate with her forearm, bare skin and served it to us while wiping her arm off at our table. Avoid this place at all costs.

I was excited to go here as there is many vegan options for my partner, but service we received was beyond terrible. After waiting over 45 minutes for our food, I finally flagged down our server to ask for how much longer our 2 simple lunch entrees would be and she came back to let us know “our ticket got lost in the kitchen.” We waited over 30 minutes after that and finally received our food. There was no lack of coverage for tables and it was not overly busy (if it was, I could’ve excused this) The food itself was fine but there was no acknowledgement, comp, or apology. but as someone who has worked in service I would’ve at least apologized and attempted to rectify the situation. We are only in Salem for a short time and missed a tour while trying to have what was supposed to be an enjoyable lunch. Would not recommend.

This is a quaint little place with a friendly and attentive staff. I didnt eat inside but it looked like they have a bar in there. They used to have music on occasion. Hopefully theyll start that up again. Anyway I was having breakfast and enjoyed a good cup of coffee while waiting for my order. This is not your typical eggs over easy with home fries kind of place. I had a Belgian waffle which was served with fresh fruit and real maple syrup. It was quite good. Im not a crepe person but they have both savory and sweet ones on the menu. Next time perhaps which means Ill be going back. This fact is probably the best thing you can say in a review. Go, enjoy and maybe sit outside next to that horrendous statue of Elizabeth Montgomery. ;>)

As a vegan, I cant say enough good things about this place. Although not a vegan restaurant, they have amazing comprehensive plant-based options. I had their sweet specialty veg caramel apple crepe and savory vegan breakfast crepe the first time I went, and the charles & cheese vegan mac and cheese the second time. Holy macaroni, these were all amazing. I crave crepes always but dont have any great vegan crepe options near me, and Im very picky with my vegan mac & cheese as theyre usually not very good. My sister and I were pretty disappointed with our lunch today. My food came out cold and the vegan mac n cheese left a lot to be desired. The “cheese” was so bland and the description said it was supposed to have breadcrumbs on it which it didn’t. The service was pretty slow too. Also, this is kind of our fault but we forgot to ask for the type of bread we wanted for our sandwiches, but shouldn’t the server usually ask you when you’re ordering? We didn’t even get our drinks until after our food arrived and they never asked if we wanted another once we finished them. My sis had to go up and ask for our check because they didn’t bring it and we were there for over an hour. The best things I can say about this place is that they have an awesome beer selection and that the bartender and hostess were really nice.

Food was so subpar, and service was slow and unfriendly. Our crepe was a composition of dry, flavorless chicken embedded in a mash of refried beans and sour cream, wrapped in a gummy outer shell. I dont know how they could call it a crepe - it was like a gummy burrito. The salad was basically greens and dressing - hardly any of the numerous additional ingredients listed in their menu. Food was not cheap either. I think this ranked among the worst food I have ever had at an establishment that considered itself a restaurant - I would expect a high school student to produce better food than this.

Our food was fine. The lox bagel was great and came with a lot of toppings. Their Chai lattes are really weak - its pretty clearly a tea that they steep regularly then add milk to rather than a concentrated Chai mix so its really weak and watered down flavored.Low stars are mostly due to service. We ordered, then waited 30 minutes with no food or drink until our server came and told us she forgot to put in our order and asked if we still wanted to wait. We did, then a bit later asked how long the wait would be and she said another 20 - 30 minutes. We asked if our food could be moved ahead in line since we had been missed and she checked with the kitchen then said no. Ended up finally eating almost an hour after sitting down and having to send one drink back because it was missing espresso. Pretty disappointing experience and caused a big delay to our one day visiting Salem.
