Great place to buy lawn and garden equipment. They do Service them also. They even sell plow blades for your truck.

As always staff are friendly, confident in their knowledge and helpful. I prefer supporting small local businesses so when possible I would buy from Wohlfeil rather than a large box store. Due to the compact size of the store they unfortunately on occasion do not have an item I require. The last does not stop me trying there first if I am not sure of their inventory.

As soon as I step one foot in the door, the same women asks me what I need. This time she instruct another employee to keep an eye out. This happened at least three other times but I still made my purchases. I refuse to spend my money at a place that profiles and then does a poor job at it. Following a repeat paying customer. I will shop at the big box home improvement stores.

I was helped immediately upon walking in the door. An associate helped me find everything that I needed specifically for my project. They happened to be short staffed, but still friendly and helpful.

I bought a tractor lawn mower on site. Mr. Wohlfeil is a sweet person. Great personal service. The guy who delivered was great also. He taught me how to operate and thanked me for my service as a front line worker for FEMA as a nurse.. Support and endorse this business 💜💜

THEY HAVE A POOR SYSTEM ON NEW PARTS.TOOK THEM A WHILE TO FINE THE PARTS I ORDER.They called me 4 days before and said my parts were in.

In March my husband came to Wohlfeils to buy a chainsaw. He did end up making the purchase that day, but only out of necessity. The guy that was helping him was rude and condescending and was pushing him to spend double on a saw that was twice the size he needed, even after he made it clear he wasnt interested in anything that big or expensive. The employee continued to be less than friendly during the entire transaction, and even my 12 year old son said the guy wasnt very nice to his customers. Still, chainsaw came home with him, with a receipt that said he paid for it. However, our card was never charged. I kept an eye on it and after 2 weeks I started asking friends who I know process payments if it was normal for something to take that long to clear a card. The purchase was not even pending. I was advised to give it 30 days before contacting the store, because it could take up to a full cycle for it to show up on my card. So I wait, and on day 31 I called the store and explained that we had bought a chainsaw (Over $450 total) and that my card hadnt ever been charged. I had called on a Sunday and had to leave a message with the manager there at the time. Gave him my name, phone number, invoice number, and total. I was thanked a few times by this employee and he said he appreciated the call. Told me hed have the book keeper call me the next day.The next day came and went without a call. Instead I got a call Tuesday morning, before 9 AM. When I answered the phone a woman said, Linda (not my name), this is ****. I looked at my records and you were never charged for that saw, so did you want to give me a card number now?. Called me by the wrong name, didnt identify herself by telling me where she was calling from, asked me for a card number without thanking me for calling. Even on the call I mentioned how my conscience wouldnt let me NOT call and pay for it and she made some comment about how Id gotten away with it for a month before my conscience caught up to me! I wasnt trying to get away with anything, I didnt want to be double charged then have to wait for a refund! This wasnt a $20 purchase, this was $450 and most people I know WOULDNT have made that call after not being charged by a sales person that was rude to them. Here I was trying to make it right and being treated like I was trying to get away with something!Overall, I wouldnt recommend them. Mistakes happen, and us not being charged was a simple mistake. But the rest of it, the bad customer service, the way he was treated there and the way I was treated on the phone, doesnt justify me trying to support that business again. I would prefer to give my business to people who want me in their store and will treat me with respect when Im trying to correct their mistakes, at my expense.UPDATE - A week later I received a copy of the invoice I already had in the mail again, with my CC number written on it and crossed off (exp date and Code included), and the cc slip. No note, not a thank you anywhere, no we appreciate your honesty, nothing. I almost regret calling and paying for it.

This place was fantastic! I had two people offer to wait on me I was looking for a very specific light fixture oh, it took us a few minutes but they were able to find it. A gentleman were very nice with excellent customer service. Got to love it.

Hardware staff and parts department are always great. Very helpful. The past 10 years Ive purchased all of my home power equipment from them as well. That is until this year. The sales man is pushy and didnt listen to what I wanted. Gave him 3 chances finally ended up looking elsewhere.

Never had a bad experience here. Ive now bought 3 different yard tools from them and theyve all held up better than the tools Ive bought from the big box stores. These guys are the first place I go to when I need the right tool for the job.

Usually its a good place to run grab my parts for my club cadet mower...but when your ignored at the other end of store waiting in line while clerks gossip its not worth buying anything else they offer.

Called to see if they had a part for my lawnmower. Gal answered the phone “wohlfiels” relaying as much boredom as she could. When asked if they sold parts for Craftsman, she says hold on. Five minutes later I think I’m still on hold, but I hear faint breathing on the line. Maybe I should drive over and check to see that she is ok? Anyway there was no answer when I questioned if any one was on the line so I just hung up. Sorry small business, but I tried to shop to local, guess Amazon it is.

Not helpful in the back for service so I took my business else I went to another hardware in town where they went above and beyond to help me they didnt have what I needed either but they made me what I needed very disappointed

My dad paid $150 to have my lawn mower tuned up and looked at by this place. They said everything looked great and they did the tune up, etc. My dad drove the mower over an hour down to my house and it worked for about five minutes and wouldn’t start up again. Wholfeils refused to look at it again unless we paid for it... again. But you guys didn’t even do the job right the first time? Shouldn’t you fix your mistake? Ended up taking my business to a new place and the first thing they said to me was my first mistake was ever taking it to Wholfeils.Update- took it to a different place to be fixed and they told us there was water in the gas.... gas that was put in my mower by Wholfeils. Awesome.

This summer I purchased a still leaf blower and my experience was just fine. Love the blower.A month later purchased a Ariens snow blower. I decided to purchase there so that I could trust the assembly. The price was identical to all others.As I was driving out the the store I noticed I had 3 reverse speeds and only 5 forward. Should be 2 and 6. The linkage was barely assembled and done incorrectly. We corrected this at store.When I got home I found auger would not shut off and drive cable was sloppy. I had to correct these adjustments myself.I am nervous of what I will find when it snows.I am not impressed.Gave 4 stars just because of the friendly staff.

Purchased a new xt2 gx54d. David the salesman was great. He knocked off $100.00 threw in a set of chains and oil filter. Tractor was delivered with a full tank of gas and the delivery guy was friendly and helpful as well. If youre looking to purchase a new cub cadet I recommend going to wohlfiels/dealer instead of a box store.

Bought brand new cub cadet push mower wanted to support a small local business even though home depot had it cheaper. Used it twice and wouldnt start. Called wohlfeils and was told its probably bad gas and warranty doesnt cover that. Husband called again they said they would look at it but can guarantee warranty work and would be charged. If a product doesnt work after 2 times you should stick to the sales guy pitch that you have a warranty and will fix it right away. Yah you will fix it for a charge and are 4 weeks out. Will never shop here again

I would give this place negative stars if I could I walked in to ask for something and whoever was was running the store seemed very standoffish like stood in my way of me walking in I can read body language pretty well to know Im not welcome Also very low supply on everything

Busy when I was here. They got to all of us customers in a timely manner... The only issue I have, the guy I asked to help me find a grommet, apparently had other things to do & just left me in the aisle without saying anything.

They always are available to assist and have great stock options. However, wont be back for a while. Was on there 10-1 and encountered at least 4 employees waiting on customers with out masks. One young employee who called another employee dad was sneezing. Several 4-5 had no masks. As much as I like this establishment wont return soon.

Service and Parts dept is always great. But if you need to buy any lawn equipment or whatnot, youre better off just going to Menards. I was prepared to spend some $$$, but there was only 1 sales person working up front. He never even acknowledged my presence even though he looked at me twice while helping someone else, and just kept chatting with the other customer even after the sale was complete. After 15 minutes, I just left.So to summarize: Top notch parts and service dept, piss poor sales dept.

I just stopped in to fill my propane tank. It saddens me to say that the employees and owner of this establishment we’re not wearing masks or distancing themselves to protect their customers! All of the customers I saw were wearing masks and distancing themselves. I won’t be spending my money here for quite a long time! I suggest people think twice before entering.

Stihl Gravley and Dr. Are the main reasons I travel 50-miles for. The owner at this store probably never takes a day off. The hardware portion of the store is extremely well stocked as well. My parts came quicker than I expected.

Nice hardware store. Didnt have the furnace filters we needed but the salesman offered right away to order them for us. Large stocked store. Loaded with just about anything you might want. Large parking lot, clean parking lot. Propane is available, snow plows, snow blowers, lawn mowers, weed eaters, paint and hardware. A large parts department where by chance if they dont have it they will order it for you! Pleasant workers all very helpful!

They have top of the line Stihl Equipment. I have purchased a leaf blower and a chainsaw from there.

When you just want to get in and out without the hassle this is the place! customer service was top notch, I went in with a bolt and said I need a socket for this, and without holding the bolt I was given the correct T40 wrench for that bolt.My only gripe honestly was waiting on the cashier and whoever makes sure the register is stocked.Sometimes its the small things.Not worth dropping a star over a personal gripe and no fault the workers.My new favorite local hardware store period!

I am revising a review I put in for Wolfeil’s hardware in Saginaw, MI a couple years ago. I have tried to revise it earlier but found no way on Google to do it until now. I would give Google zero stars. I am revising from a two star to a four star review for Wohlfeil’s. The initial service was poor but when I took the chainsaw back to them they reviewed the chainsaw and appropriately fixed at that time. There was no charge and they seemed content to make sure my problem was fixed. I am just sorry the negative review had to stay out so long and for that I blame Google. I was only able to revise the review after putting in another review for another place and it gave me a chance to review all my reviews. No easy way to find out how to revise a Google Review looking at Google directly. I guess the only way to revise an old review is to put in a new review of another place.

2018 - I needed a piece of glass to replace one in a picture frame. They were very helpful and had cut a new piece of glass in a few minutes.12/13/19 - Now, my snow blower would not start. I took it to Wohlfeils and they said 7 days to fix. Two days later it was ready. Great service.

Store would not handle a simple return, which speaks to a questionable policy on the part of Ace. Exacerbating an already tenuous customer service experience was the unwillingness on the part of the manager/owner to come out of his hovel to convey the policy. Sadly, I try to patronize the local businesses whenever possible but such an abhorrent experience will prevent me from not only frequenting this locale but ACE Hardware stores, in general. The only way to affect change is to exact one’s pound of flesh from the bottom line.

Stopped in the buy an edger and the sales guy did his job and talked us into a Stihl with heads that can change. Glad we listened to him it works great. We bought an edger and weed wacker end and going to get the broom soon.

Walked in not expecting to buy a new zero turn. Figured theyd be too high priced but still wanted to check them out. The salesman was great. Very knowledgeable. They offered an unbeatable deal on our 60in Gravely.....got 0% for 36 mo. My credit union wouldnt have matched that. On top of that, they are filling it up with all the necessary fluids including gas, leveling the deck and delivering it to our home at our convenience. We feel so much more confident buying from a place like Wohlfeils that the product can be serviced and have any warranty work done at the place we bought it from. Youre not in business for 70 years and not take care of your customers. Highly recommend not skipping over this place when looking for new outdoor equipment. We almost did and I dont think wed of found as good of a quality product for the price we paid.....and had it delivered to us and literally ready to hop on and go.

I like wohlfeils if you cant find it anywhere else they may have it and if they dont they will come up with a different plan great people to do business with.

The old man in the chainsaw section told me he didnt want me as a customer. Guy was very rude, super pushy, and not relatable to me in anyway. Seemed like he didnt think we had the money to get a ms271 farm boss.. It sucks that I cannot just buy stihl saws anywhere. Gotta rely on this local business, and have really bad interactions with people here. Its the third time Ive had a bad experience here, all with different sales men. They create such a vibe that theyre better than you. Its annoying and frustrating. Probably will never go there again.
