I have never experience what everyone is saying on here. Even though they are a busy company The older man in the building is hilarious. He makes the day seem entertaining. I have been in the store a few times. I don’t know much about guns but I own one. And every time I go in there I seen them as being them. Can’t go into a shop with X military men and be sensitive. Or any gun room being all like that remember it’s a place of business.there jobs is sale you what ever they have you either like it or you don’t. There’s always another shop to go to.

I went in just to look around with the boys over the weekend. Every single person I spoke with...three different people... was extremely helpful and friendly. The former Army ranger spent a significant amount of time answering questions I had about some products, related his personal experiences with certain items and just joking around. It was like meeting an old friend.The older gentleman helped my older son entertain my three year old while I was talking to the other associate. Theres a chest they keep on hand full of toys, he let my boy pick one for free. He was playing games just like a kindly old grandpa would.The resident Glock armorer answered my remaining questions, and even directed me to where I could find the item I was looking for that they didnt have in stock. I decided to wait and purchase the item there when their shipment arrived instead of going somewhere else, since they are definitely a very good group of guys.I totally recommend this place as my favorite store in the sacramento area!

I was recommended to check out this business by one of my wifes work colleagues - and they did not disappoint. The staff is very knowledgeable regarding multiple aspects of firearm operation and ownership; gun safety, legal issues, firearm supply/demand, weapon fit for purpose, you name it they most likely know it. Every question I asked they had an answer for. What I found most remarkable was the non-obvious advice and pointers they provided - stuff someone like myself (no firearms in my family for 2 generations) had no idea about. Im afraid I wont go back there. I dont mind that mistakes are made, its how the mistake is handled that matters to me. thats when you find out who you are dealing with. I was shown a product and decided to buy it. employee grabbed one off of the shelf and I paid and left. opened the box when I got home to find out it was different. returned to find a different employee who was not interested in helping whatsoever and in fact had an attitude rather than apologetic. long story short I waited in that shop for an hour for a resolution before he abruptly said I just returned your money on your card I said thank you and left. why he made me go through all of that over a mistake they made is beyond me but I promise they will never see me again

Well maintained store with many weapon options, unlike most store around Sacramento that have empty glass cases.

I called 2 gun shops in my area and how last stand talked to me and explained the how to s, as a newbie they won my business. The other shop rude on the phone, so all my gun needs will be bought at last stand.

This place is great. Absolutely the perfect experience. I cant say enough about everyone there. To a person they were friendly and knowledgeable. And if you are like me and dont know a lot about firearms they will help you every way possible and you will leave very well informed. I look forward to my next purchase. The owner was a man with no ethics, manners nor costumer service. How can they run a business like that in Cali with no customer service.To Owner,I was there on Friday 7/31. The two Asian dudes were very friendly but the white dude with Mustache was utterly unethical. I was on the phone and looking for something to buy since there wasn’t any handguns to buy and white dude told me to leave the shop?!! What is that? At least he could’ve been more polite about it? And why would anyone chase any costumer out of their store? I came in to just look around left with a plate carrier,a new firearms store, and some good acquaintances. If you are soft their way of communicating may seem harsh but to me it’s just honest no sugar conversations. Keep up the good work I’ll be back for the KSG.

I came in today for the first time looking for 9mm ammo. Even thought they were out of stock at the time I like the way the store is set up. Very clean and appealing. The staff seemed really nice. I had to put that out there amidst the poor reviews.

I was a little cautious going over there after reading a few of the reviews posted here Perry it anyhow website says they close at 4 I got there at 3:30 sign says open but both doors were locked and it look like scissor gates were partially closed. Was originally excited they were open on Sunday but maybe they need to update their website hours?

I bought a H&K p2000 brand new about 6+ months ago and was told I was suppose to get 2 magazines with my firearm . At the time the firearm came with just one magazine so they told me to come back when they have the second magazine . So I did fast forward months in to my purchase i went back and and told them my story. The owner then proceeded to tell me I bought a used gun and it only came with one magazine. ( I have paper work saying it was new ) I paid 960 ruffley before tax and have never seen a second magazine since . I honestly feel played for my money and will not recommend this place

Older white man in store behind counter probably the owner. Poor and rude customer service. Has no clue what they are selling. Not a comfortable place for asking information on firearms. I still remember when this store opened up in my neighborhood will never come here ever again. I decided to try this store instead of my usual river city gun exchange 10min away. I regret walking into the last stand readiness. I will never again betray river city gun exchange and from this day forth stay faithful to you.

Hey guys i came in on Friday to look at firearms and was told that because of whats going on in the world today that a lot of stock was depleted. Thats okay. I was also shown a ks7 by a gentleman named Kenny. He said yall would be getting a shipment in on Sunday or Monday and to call and ask for Kenny. Ive been trying to call but unfortunately the line is either busy or the phone is turned off. I cant leave a message either cause the mailbox is full. Went in for a snub nose and a Ka-bar knife. They had a great looking knife that I bought and they worked with me to find the right snub nose online and then order it. Very intelligent staff and great character. Would recommend this store simply for the conversations and knowledge alone.

First I want to start off by saying this shop is simply amazing. The staff is excellent and very knowledgeable about the weapons they carry and also the ones they dont have. I bought my first pistol today and i am so blessed that i was able to buy it from Last Stand. Christopher who was helping me today was such an awesome guy. We talked for over an hour about everything. He went over how the gun fires, all the safety exponents of the gun and even did an compare and contrast with similar weapons. I am truly blessed to meet some brothers in arms at a local shop. This is what made it the best experience ever, without even knowing who I was, I was automatically considered a brother because of the passion and commitment that we shared while we served in the armed forces. I have to say I will never step foot in a different shop. Thanks again for the awesome experience and I will return always.P.S. Best Staff crew ever.

This review is actually a year old but I figured it was much needed. Didnt know a damn thing about assault rifles but when I asked general questions I was greeted properly and informed correctly. No one tried forcing expensive parts down my throat. Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and shared stories with me of when they were in the service. Prices are fair which is why I purchased all I needed from them. Spent a little over 800 for everything and they even helped walk me through assembling it together. The friendly banter and knowledge in firearms made me feel comfortable in purchasing everything I needed for my build. Came out a happy customer and will be sure to do business with again when looking for more AR upgrades. Thanks again fellas.

Bought my AR, and 45 pistol, along with several mods that on the day of pick up and purchase put on my rifle for me. River City scammed me for the test money and gun tax. Last Stands Chris and Drew helped me understand my true rights to my arms and didnt use personal policy judgement as a means to hustle a buck! You can price match for $20 difference all day and deal with jerks and cons or educate yourself from those that know and leave with a smile. Inventory is full of the best reliable brands out there. Honesty is there as I lost an envelope with $600 cash in it near store. I called back thinking fat chance its there now as over 20 min had passed when I called Chris and he said would check for me. 5 min Later he called me back said he found it. I came back and he gave it to me. It was outside on the ground in front of the door. In this day most would not have done that. I know River City Gun employee wouldnt.

While home on leave, I went into The Last Stand intending to purchase a rifle. This was the first time I would be home for the waiting period. I had selected the M1A based on online research but had a few questions regarding the different models. I took my mother with me as we were going to lunch after. Unfortunately, I am sure that the employees saw us as a kid and his mom wasting their time. Nothing could be further from the truth. I am active duty Navy, and shes an NRA member. And, even though the store was empty aide from us and the employees, our questions were brushed off. We were treated rudely and with condescension. So I left and drove about 40 miles out of my way to make my purchase. I will never go here again.

I could not disagree more with the other negative posts. I am an older female with a lot of questions. Staff took a lot of time to show me around and answered ALL my questions. Despite the location, I felt like I found a very unique store with survival items and gear I have not seen anywhere else. I have been back to the store several times and am always very pleased with their stock of items and their service.

These gentlemen treated my friends and I with the utmost respect, and answered all our questions thoroughly without any rudeness or sass. We just came from River City Gun Exchange, experiencing the worst customer service ever, and these guys set us at ease. I highly recommend them, as they are very experienced and knowledgeable about their gear. They stay true to their mission statement, and are very respectable.

Rude/spouting political grievances instead of just information.Went in see if I could purchase ammo for a future gun purchase I was about to make, being completely new to all of this and how the process worked, I didn’t know you could not just simply “buy ammo”, thats fine. I then proceed to ask why/how the process works and am then immediately met with some long winded answer (which I could tell was just an attempt make the whole process seem more complicated than it really was, after I learned of it) throwing out a bunch of information almost as if they were just trying to talk down to me because of my lack of knowledge, followed by another speech about how “California isn’t America, it’s a communist state”. Yeah, okay buddy, sure it is.I then proceeded to go to another gun shop that didn’t talk down to me and explained the whole process, which I found out was nowhere near as bad as the clerk here was trying to make it out to be. And that didn’t go into some diatribe about what they imagine a communist state to be.So my advice is that if you’re newbie to guns and/or the process to getting guns/ammo in the state of CA, and want friendly customer service with information that isn’t centered around some political lean, go elsewhere.

Excellent store, I went in here a couple weeks ago to get my fist handgun, the guys let me know loads of information about why I should go with a sig, now Im the happy owner of a 2022. They took time for multiple days showing me this and that and waited patiently while I made my decision. During the safe handling demo Chris was Informative and relaxed, like talking to a buddy. I highly recommend this store for anyone new or experiencenced gun owners.

Chris and Antony are my go to guys in the South Sacramento area in regards to firearm/gear needs. Chris and Antony provides EXCELLENT customer services and are very knowledgeable and, more importantly, respectful to their customers unlike other places like Rivercity Gun Exchange or other gun stores in the area. The only con that I can think of is that the parking can suck from time to time, especially during rush hour but that is a very minor con if compared to the fact that the knowledge and services provided by these gents outweigh the con. I forgot to add that this place is family friendly because there have been times where I took along my 2 year old daughter as well as my wife and they did not feel unwelcome/awkward like in other gun stores. I can honestly say that because of Chris and Antonys knowledge and customer services, my wife was comfortable enough to take and pass her handgun certificate here as well. In my opinion, these guys ARE the best in town.

I came in looking for a Glock and ended up a lot happier with purchasing a Springfield XD for my first pistol. Im extremely satisfied with the knowledge and service that these men at last stand have. I really love coming to this store, all the workers are outstanding and always ready to help you.

Have had both good and bad customer service. The good service has been from a guy named Drew, and the bad from whom I think was Chris, the manager. I came in, only Chris on duty, and he was talking up a girl that was obviously ignorant about guns, and for 10 minutes he never even make eye contact with me, much less asked me what I wanted. While being ignored, a phone call came in, which he answered immediately, but told the caller he had a customer and he hung up.At that point I left.

Chris has awesome customer service! Its your friendliness that keeps customers coming back. I emphasize friendliness because at other shops or other customer service people dont quite understand the meaning of friendliness. You get ignored and I have walked out of many places with cash in hand ready to spend because people dont even look at you or acknowledge you. Chris was eager to show me new products and looked like he really enjoyed his job. I have even brought my wife in and she ended up buying more stuff than me. Its simple act like you care about every customer that walks thru your door.

My experience has been vastly different from most of the reviews here. Never been here until about 3 weeks ago when my regular firearm store I went to was closed for the day. I was looking for a home defense weapon for my wife. Walk in and immediately saw an employee (who I later found out was the manager) talking to a customer. No greeting, no nod to acknowledge us. That’s fine, I get it. They’re talking pleasantly and another employee comes up and helps us look at a few weapons. Everything’s going well until an Asian customer walks in. Manager’s behavior goes a 180. The customer asked what I thought to be a couple of general questions and wow. Snappy, rude, “I was in the army, this is how is it and how I’ll do it,” attitude, talking down to the poor guy. Guy gets real quiet and leaves. Doesn’t buy anything and I don’t blame him. I’m close to walking out myself but the price on the weapon is good so we pay part and leave.Cut to three weeks later, wife having trouble getting utility bill so calls and asks if she can bring in a lease with her name on it. Was told no, not acceptable. Which is against California law. So we go to the store to figure out what’s up. Come in to find the manager talking to a guy, trying to steer him away from buying a more expensive gun and telling him a cheaper weapon would work better for him and he should get that instead. Which would have been nice except the guy is clearly uncomfortable with how he’s being spoken to and how his questions are being ignored. I love a gun store clerk who has recommendations but I don’t think that’s what was happening. Guy left without buying anything too. Did I mention he was black? Yeah, I didn’t think that would be an issue for gun purchases here but apparently ethnicity could be.Anyway, wife shows the California law paperwork and the manager points in her face and tells her he already told her on the phone that her paperwork didn’t work. She said this was the law but he then said he doesn’t care about the law and he can refuse service whenever he wants and how he was in the military. Which is fine but I asked for a full refund then and he starts yelling at me. At that point, I called him a racist and he told me he would call the cops on me. Accuses me of trespassing after I want to stay with my wife and tells his employees to get the number for the police. So at this point, I leave and this next part comes from my wife:Manager is still angry and my wife said she understood he could refuse service but wanted to clearly clarify that he was refusing service to her even though California law stated that she had the necessary identification to purchase a firearm. At that point, she said he froze. He didn’t know that’s what she called about earlier (but he knew well enough to start yelling and pointing at her earlier). He looks at the paperwork and ID and actually says he can sell her the weapon. No apology. My wife is a good woman so goes outside to ask me if she should do it and I tell her to go ahead (It is a $700+ firearm so it was understandable she wanted to make sure we should still buy something from someone who made me leave).At that point, she convinces him to let me back in so I can be with her for the safety demonstration. Which he doesn’t want to do with us (Again, that’s fine, I don’t really want anything to do with him either), but he gets us another employee to go over it with us. That guy was very patient and helped my wife figure out how to safely load and unload the weapon comfortably before she was ready to go. And the weapon came with an automatic reloader which was a nice benefit.Summary: Nice firearms, friendly staff, horrible manager who’s too obsessed with announcing he was military when he really should be brushing up on his legal knowledge.

I went in to buy an AR-556. There prices were very reasonable, and they had excellent customer service! The guys there were very knolagable about their inventory, and they carry exelant quality firearms! Also, their credit card processor was malfunctioning at the time, but they were able to resolve the problem, and gave me a couple boxes of ammo for the trouble!I highly recommend them, and theyre definitely worth the drive from where ever you are in the Sacramento area!

Shoppers please beware this place is a scam they lied and told me dead by California state law if Im working as an armed guard I need to carry a trauma pack so after $100 later and some investigating I dont need a trauma pack its not the law so when I went to go return the trauma pack they told me that they was not giving me my money back and that they only will give me a Store refund why isnt that convenient you lie and tell me that I need something that I dont even need Shoppers dont shop here go somewhere else these guys are full of s***. Wow the nerve of theses people I cant believe the owner said I was lying? I dont lie I have no reason to lie first off. 2nd I have to answer to Jesus so lying is not something I do. Inflated their prices on standard capacity magazines when the ban was lifted for a short period of time. PMAGs that normally run $8-12 online anywhere magically became $40 in store with these guys. Shame on them for exploiting their customers.

Purchased a stripped lower from them but had some trouble comming up with my id with my current address, even so the manager was extremely patient and understanding of my situation when he didnt have to be..so I would and have definitely recommended them to my friends or anyone looking for ar15 parts and accessories plus they have an outstanding selection of camping and survival supplies.

Im new to the world of firearms. Christopher was very helpful, patient and informed. One thing I like about Chris is that he made me very comfortable with the idea of owning a firearm, and that its my right to so responsibly. He let me handle an HK45C for a very long time; all the while having a conversation about the quality of certain firearms, some history and we addressed some of my pre-concieved notions that I had about gun owners. I didnt feel rushed, or pressured in any way. Chris was great, and I may purchase my first firearm from this place. Just have to convince my wife....
