Today I wanted to try someplace new ….the donuts are good. customer service is very poor. The woman that works there is not nice and does not make you feel like you want it come back again. I know I will not go back 🤬

I got two dozen donuts this morning with great customer service. Everyone at my job function absolutely loved the flavor and the quality of all of the donuts! Everyone is asking me where I got them and I was soo excited to tell everyone about this place!!

If you need a good pick me up, this is the place to go. The selection of mouth watering donuts was a lot to process. There is definitely something for everyone. The owner is great she has an amazing life story. She has been at this location taking good care of the locals looking for great snacks.

This is the perfect little mom and pop donut shop. They have an excellent variety of well made donuts, pastries, muffins, and croissants. Their donut holes are generously sized and basically melt in your mouth. They are quite dangerous. Just keep your hands off my regular french crullers. They run out fast.

You know you have a problem when you have visited every donut shop in the general vicinity of your drive to work so you actually have to go out of your way to try a new one.This is how I ended up here.Its not really out of the way, but its located in a neighborhood I dont find myself wanting to hangout in.I came in around 7:30am on a weekday and there was a line out the door! I knew I was in the right place. Fortunately the line moved quickly and I was in and out of there in only a few minutes.$5.00 debit card minimum. Luckily I had cash.I ordered a Glazed Raised Donut and a Chocolate Bar which came to $2.20. Both were really fresh and had great flavor. I liked both the glazed and chocolate frostings and thought they had good consistency. I would get them again.They didnt really have any unique flavors, but they did have some glazed and chocolate twists which looked good as well as some croissants and pastries I would want to try which may keep me coming next back.Service was minimal. The lady behind the counter said I was next, picked out my donuts, took my money and was off to help the next customer. I wasnt really expecting anything more, but it would have been nice.The parking lot is huge. You wont have any troubles.

Donut Star has by far the best donuts in Sacramento. I’ve always been able to get my favorite donuts no matter what time of day it is. They are always fresh and sometimes still warm. I recommend this place to everyone who asks where they can get a great donut!

Im originally from Stockton and there was this amazing donut shop there growing up thats no longer there, but today just passing by I saw Donut Star, and decided to give them a try. They had every dont you could think of and more! I was even able to find the donut I had as a child and let me tell you, I had a special moment In time with that donut. A must try donut shop!! Best in Sacramento so far and Ive been here 10 ysars

They are always creating something new and wonderful tasting.. Excellent customer service. You gotta try their donuts!! You wont be disappointed.

I drive past 3 other donut places to go here. They are consistently delicious with a large variety, and friendly quick service. Try their little cream puffs, they are a nice treat!

Donuts here are delicious. Great variety. I loved the donuts BUT the woman assisting me wasnt friendly at all. As a matter of fact, a customer was the one who was super nice to me while telling me how good the donuts were. As I picked out my donuts and was ready to pay, the lady helping me still wasnt friendly and acted as if I was bothering her. For that reason, I wont be returning.

I just got home from visiting this shop and I found mold on my scone!! I got 2 donuts and one of their pineapple scones and there was a patch of fuzzy mold on the bottom of the scone! The people were super friendly but this is a serious health code violation!! The donuts didnt have any visible issues but I wouldnt trust anything from this shop because its clear they arent rotating or checking their inventory.

Donuts are good. Convenient location with ample parking. Fast service, and the occasional free extra donut.

This place has has good tasting handmade treats from donuts holes to maple bars to so much more. Love how this place stays open later in afternoon should I crave something sweet to take home. Been around so years now. Come check this ace if ever in the area.

Very rude and disrespectful. I was told to get to the back of the line after I had already been standing there for almost 5 mins. I feel like I was targeted because of my race and I was the only black person in there. She helped the lady that was standing in front of me but wanted me to get behind 5 people who came in after me. She also checked my $50 after the cashier had already put it through her bill scanner, which the cashier did not ask her to do. I work too hard to have to go around passing counterfeit money. My family and I will not be returning.

The workers are friendly, the location is clean, and most importantly the donuts are really GOOD. By far the best in the area! Give em a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Me and my bf didnt think this place was that great. They werent super fresh, and the whipped cream donut was yucky tasted like stale cool whip.. The glazed one was alright tho. The prices are cheap, but the lady that rung me up was kinda rude and not thankful for my business even tho I was nice to her and even bought 6 donuts. Location isnt that great either.

Best damn donuts ever. No joke. The older Asian lady is so nice and she tries hella hard to move everyone along as fast as she can. I wish my favorite donut wasnt covered in the liquid sugar but just the regular granulated one. But they have a glacier mocha drink. Sooooooo goood!!

Review for Apple Fritter only.At a $1.95, not to shabby. Frosting slightly over done masking the tasty apple chunks inside. Softer than a typical fritter, I feel it could cook a little longer for a slightly better crisp. It’s a solid size but lacks the density making a lighter than you would think. Overall, it’s not a bad AF, I would make the stop again if I was in the neighborhood but nothing to make a crosstown trip for.

It’s a cute little place! Whenever I go here which is weekly I always get a “goodmorning” in a positive attitude so the people are very nice and the donuts are always fresh they make them every morning. Try the bacon maple donut it’s actually amazing!

I was pretty surprised at how good the donuts were the last time I went to Donut Star. Also, the customer service was excellent. They were a little bit more busy than my taste, but the line went fairly quick. And the nice old lady threw in some extra free donut holes for the wait, which in fact wasnt too terribly long of a wait in the 1st place.

Worst experience ever rude staff mold everywhere bathroom is dirty don’t keep up with cleaning facilities False advertising for stuff they sale. And the staff can’t give me a dam topping when they have it written on a piece of paper.

They have the most delicious donuts around I have actually been craving them and have gotten out of bed at 4:30 am and gone down there for a cinnamon roll and a chocolate bar with whip cream! They also have donut holes with whip cream, love that whip cream in a donut.

The best home made so fresh and delicious price is perfect for what you get in multiples. The owner is beautiful kind and generous. I look forward to my days off from work, thats the first place I go when getting up in the mornings. And talk about verity and big sizes of donuts, I am here to tell yoU go and make that tummy happy. I have tried a couple of different places and its either heartburn or over charged and not enough verity worst of all they dont give you time to pick out what you want just take your money and rush you out the door....and thats why I do not go back to them other places!!!!

Amazing donuts! Incredibly fluffy, soft and not overly sugary donuts! Even their cake donuts aren’t super dense and on the lighter side for a cake style donut. Prices are fair and fast and quick service even though there were a ton of people. Don’t mind the suspect parking lot or the area, these donuts are legit. Get your goods and dip!

I went here today at 4pm and it was 4 people ahead of me so I waited outside out of 4 people only 1 person had on a mask and lady that work there did care cause she still help them took their money that was more important to her so when it was cleared I went and told her she was wrong thats nasty you let 3 people in there with no mask and on your door it says no mask no service thats not true your mot obeying the rules and I will never go here again this donut star need to be fine make sure everyone that come there are wearing a mask straight ridiculous I drove by there today feb 7,2021 they had customers in there with no masks On straight nasty never Go there again they need to be fine stop serving customers thats not wearing a Mask

Donut star is a great donut shop in the arcade area. I was shopping near by and stopped randomly at the sight of fresh donuts. So glad that I did. The lemon jelly, and strawberry frosted donuts are amazing. Donuts are old fashioned style. I dont need crazy flavors, just good prices and friendly customer service like here.

Good neighborhood donut shop. Nothing fancy, just good, classic donuts. The donut holes especially are the best Ive ever had. The 2 ladies who work the counter in the morning are so nice, and are really good at remembering their regular customers. Plus, theirs a really cute sign on the donut case that says please dont tap on the glass it scares the donuts. The location is convenient, and the parking lot isnt too crazy. It can get crowded at the entrance, but the ladies are quick to get everyone through the line. Credit cards are accepted as well as cash.
