Discovered Vampire Penguin while walking around downtown Sacramento and loved it!! Amazing shaved snow desserts with fun creations on the menu. Totally worth the price for the taste and experience.We got the Thai iced tea snow with Oreos and condensed milk drizzled over the top - highly recommend this combo if youre a Thai tea fan!

It was so hot outside so this place really hot the spot. The shaved ice was so soft like it was just a dreamy texture. I got the strawberry shortcake. My boyfriend got the dulce de leche and was very tasty aswell.

Was super good. Ac was broken tho so was super hot inside. Other than that service was friendly and the shaved ice was delicious. Dulce de leche was bomb.

I dont know why this place is so good, but it is. It is the best possible version of a sno cone that I could imagine and better than most ice cream. The toppings are impeccably chosen and even after dessert you will leave feeling better than when you walked in

We thought this was an ice cream shop, it is not. Its for shaved ice. Deceivingly similar looking, but not the same thing.

Clean inside. They’re always playing music to vibe to. The shaved ice is real nice and fluffy and the lamb is thinly sliced and cooked crispy.

We tried the Italian Grape Soda with pop rocks. This was delicious, cool and fun. Staff are friendly and awesome. Great experience!!

The shaved ice here was very special, I tried for the first time. Very soft. But the green tea flavor wasnt strong enough for me. Good place to hand out with others.

I really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt and really should have went with my gut when we walked out the first time but we thought we’d give it a try because of the fairly positive reviews. Boy were we mistaken. We’re really easy dessert people to please but this place was a little rough. Their flavor combinations seem to rely solely on the favoritism of the Oreo brand but there wasn’t much flavor in the ice besides the added toppings. It’s strange for an ice dessert to feel dry but that’s what we thought about the s’mores dessert. It seems reasonably priced but we would have preferred to not pay for it at all. I hate to write negative reviews but wouldn’t want anyone to experience the disappointment we did especially with the cute penguin atmosphere. Honestly, we should have known a restaurant serving tacos, halal and shaved ice would be a little all over the place with flavors. Sorry Vampire Penguin! I really hope you can figure out your brand.

This place has the best deserts! I love taking my kids here! The staff is very friendly and they always make you feel welcome. I like the atmosphere, the food, the people, its overall a great place to come! I highly recommend you try it.

What an awesome experience! Start to finish. The customer service is unmatched on K street. The owner is helpful in picking a snow you’ll love. I thought the snow would be creamier or heavy but everything is light, refreshing, and they are definitely professionals at matching the flavor profiles and textures. Best Dessert In Sacramento.

Both the lamb and chicken tacos are delicious! As is the Mexican candy mangonada snow. Their food is both appetizing and cheap. Not to mention their customer service is unmatched. Would definitely recommend!

This place only seems to have one employee working, first taking as many orders as she can, then preparing the meals in order fast & good, she apologized for being the only one there but did quite well as a solo! The website online boasts this place as a dessert eatery, but seems to only have a shaved ice menu on the wall without prices, they are tasteless & not recommended, the tacos are good for $3, especially Lamb meat at that low price, I would try the Lamb & chicken dinner for $12, but unfortunately, would not have a reason to return, but I do love the super late hours they are open for business!

What a cool place. Extremely friendly staff who were happy to explain to me what shaved snow was, and were happy to recommend certain flavors. Shaved snow is like nothing you will every have. The texture is amazing, and you get hints of sweetness from whatever sauce you put on there. Delicious! Hope they open more stores along the east coast.

I love me some delicious Shaved snow. So good. When I went they were giving state workers a 10% discount which I loved.

I was visiting from Georgia and wanted to try something new to me. After trying shaved snow I rather stick with regular ice cream or frozen custard. The asian young lady and the guy working with her were very nice and helpful. I will try them again because of the nice workers there

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The desert was incredible! The store itself had some interesting art pieces on the wall that looked local and each was unique. We will for sure come back!!

I have never been here before..i dont know what this yummy goodness was, but it was amazing! The girl behind the counter was really friendly. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake and it was way bigger than i thought itd be! I cant describe the consistency..it was literally like eating light, fluffy sweet snow that tasted like cheesecake, lol.They need one of these in San Diego!

Staff is extremely nice and the atmosphere is very cool, which is nice on hot days like today. Its a little loud due to fans but otherwise its a pleasant place and features delicious desserts.

Its a Saturday night downtown, showed up at 10:15 and they arent supposed to be closed until 11.... tapped on the door and the young employee looked aloof and mumbled something about closing early. Good atmosphere and excellent food, dinner and dessert ftw.

Staff was aloof, but courteous, not able to give helpful recommendations. Food was odd and did not have much flavor and felt a little sick after eating it. Decor was odd and dirty and the whole place was in need of some desperate cleaning.

The food was so delicious and there was great service.

Hawaiian food and the atmosphere at this place is excellent. Entered near nine, it wasnt busy. Mood here reminds me of Colorado Springs area.

Wow talk about something different for dessert! I loved the shaved ice and all of the crazy concoctions Paulo and his team come up with. I got mexican candy which had watermelon and hot chili flavors with caramel syrup. Yummm! I cant wait to go back!

This isnt your typical shaved ice! Its better because its shaved snow! So soft and delicate but packed with great flavor! Being Filipina I am partial to the Halo Halo but you cant go wrong with any of the pre-made snow! If none of those tickle your fancy make your own combination of snow and toppings! Great prices, great customer service, and a great environment for everyone! I dont crave anything like I crave Vampire Penguin!

Totally not what I was expecting, and actually much better. I didnt know what to expect when I saw those flavor combinations and knew it was shaved ice. It was creamy not water based like shaved ice but not heavy like ice cream either. Kind of like what dipping dots would be if you smashed them and added good flavor. Im glad I tried it but I cant say its something I would go for daily.Snow Tiger = Win! Anything with Oreos is a win :DMexican Candy = Oh dear pancakes what have I put in my mouth and will the taste ever go away? If they skipped the syrup they poured over the top this might be a win. Might.

They cant serve their boba tea drinks during lunch hours on weekdays. I went there on several occasions during lunch hour; the tapioca pearls were not ready. Called today around 15 minutes to 2pm-- still not ready! I guess they only sell boba teas between 3-6pm. I dont know! They close too early and open too late. Whats the point?

So dissappointed with this location.. Tuesday December 8th my friends and I walked to this location and arrived at 4:45 pm. As I reached to open the door the sign read closed.. But the time listed on the door said Monday-Friday open til 5. Lets just say I was very mislead.
