I went in about a couple of weeks ago to buy a product from a collection I collect.I was pleased to see the Maleficent item I wanted in stock. I was a little put off that it was $319 when, on Amazon and another store it was priced at $255. I was excited and really happy when they were able to price match from the other store.I was asked to examine the item and I did.The only items I was not able to verify was her hands that detach from her arms. The cashier wrapped those up fairly quickly, and I didn’t get a chance to view them.I came home, excited about this purchase and I opened my item. Upon opening, I saw that one of the hands had been previously repaired with glue and the other hand had a red mark on it.I was shocked that they were asking so much over the market price. I realize that they were able to price match at the $255 price point, but considering it was damages, there should’ve been a bigger discount. I returned the item the same day.I went in the store today and that SAME item, that I purchased, was “fixed” and put back on display for the SAME amount of $319.When I asked the cashier “How could you guys put this item back on the shelf for the same price?” She looked at me and told me that “Management told me to put it back because it was salvageable.” I told her “There isn’t even a sign that states the item was repaired or damaged.” She told me “I’m just the messenger.” She didn’t seem concerned at all that this company was misrepresenting it’s product and it’s condition. There is NO REASON a damaged/repaired item should be sold above market value WITHOUT acknowledging that it was repaired. This is what you call abusing the customers.
I absolutely love this store! They have many interesting things to look at, from old photos of celebrities and movies to everything disney.
Stage 9 is located on the ground floor of one of the most historic of the Californias historical landmarks, located on the Southeast corner of front and K street.Back in the day when you got off a riverboat you could go across the street and get a room there. It was built in a fire proof building and thus survived many of the fires that periodically burned through Sacramento in those days.
Bought a Sideshow set of 2 Star Wars, New Order storm troopers, valued over 500 got home and noticed they were missing the side weapons out of the box.I called and asked them that they were missing and they started questioning me if I checked before I bought them, yes I agree I should have checked. But the guy on the phone just assumed I was trying to rip them off and take stuff I wanted out of the box. Also funny for a high priced shop they have no cameras at the checkout ? To verify if the associate verified with me if everything was included. Also bout 2 paintings worth over 1000 dollars the same day,but screw me.Never shopping here again.
Without a doubt, if you enjoy bad customer service you MUST come here. The more you spend the more horrible they treat you. Its amazing. They treat window shoppers with a higher regard. No doubt this place has a lot. of unique pieces of art and history but if you think for one second they care about your business and doing a good job, you would be wrong.
This place has as much fine Disney art as Disneyland! They also have some amazing vintage Disney items, you cant find anywhere else. Their collectibles are also really reasonably priced.
Short version: cool store. Terrible customer serviceThe actual story: The store itself is pretty neat and had a nice selection. Unfortunately the customer service staff (if you want to call them that) were very incompetent. It took them at least twenty minutes to ring up the customer in front of me due to them not knowing the price of an item. Thats a pretty common problem in any store, so I understand they cant help that. However instead of taking any intuitive to figure out the price they just stood around. 4 employees, two cash registers, and not a single ounce of caring about either the customer in front of me or me. When you see someone is waiting because I a problem, tell them about the problem. Open up another cash register to keep the line moving. Or if thats broken then apologize to me and everyone else waiting. Its not that hard to pay some attention to your customers and keep them informed as to why they are waiting when there are 4 people doing nothing.
Unique and beautiful art work by Disney and others. Really enjoyed my visit
I love the idea of Disneys paints. Interesting 😍😍😍
If you love feeling nostalgic, go here. They have so many items from all over the world, from the early years of cinema, and television as well. A lot of interesting items to look at.
Wish I had more money, this place has some seriously amazing and unique finds.
They sell damaged goods, dont give you a refund, and tell you that the manager will call you to resolve the issue. Im still waiting for call, that was four months ago. They really deserve negative five stars.
Super fun place to shop for collectibles of super heroes, TV shows, horror movies, etc. All different types of collectibles.
Awesome staff and great selection of Disney fine art.
A great variety of Disney art and very friendly and knowledgeable customer service
Get place for pop culture fans! Plenty of memorabilia and collectables
Very interesting place to window shop. Loved being here.
I want to take the time out of my very busy day at work to write this review of this openly racist store located at 102 K St, Sacramento, CA 95814, named Stage Nine Entertainment. I want to specifically recognize the brown bearded skinhead Gavin, who spends his time while working harassing African American teenagers as they come in a look around/shop in the novelty store. My son whose a regular 14 year old kid, whose fun-loving intelligent, inquisitive and well traveled was spending his time in Sacramento with his cousin a (white kid), yes my family is mixed raced. When they both walked inside and around the moviestore looking at the tshirts and other stuff. The skinhead Gavin or Thor approached them singling my 14 year old out by asking him what he wanted. My son said he was looking around. I might be out of date a bit with how things are done now a days because I am a 70s baby from the Bay Area.. But isnt that what kids (no matter what racial makeup) do during the summer break, they visit family members, go to stores or hang out at the malls?Well apparently not when Gavin is working because when he hatefully tailed my son around the store making him feel uncomfortable with the harassment. My son minding his business was asked to leave the store without reason. When my son intelligently asked why like any mindful person would. Gavin answered like any tough toy shop worker would, because you look suspicious. Well isnt that great, so Stage Nine Entertainment are racial profiling? Im glad he made that clear and gave my son his very first experience with racism while shopping (we are in 2014 right?).I hope that John Paul the manager understands what his employee is promoting (hate). Because you can best believe that never in life enter into his racist establishment and I will continue to post this experience on every review site possible.#Stage Nine Dont Serve African Americans, Im glad we found that out, but not glad that my son whose a hard working straight A student in one of the best private schools in Bay Area, who regularly volunteers at the library to teach kids how to read, participants and wins technology hack-a-thons, who can present critical frames of thought to a room full of scholars, businessmen and his peers and have them captivated had to come face to face with a very hateful, numb, degenerate of a person named Gavin while shopping doing what all kids do his age.Situation like this should not be tolerated, I hope that everyone who reads this review really understands the hurt I feel for what my son experienced at this store. He doesnt deserve that nor does anyone else. Google Plus Review being a powerful tool can shift business to and from a businesses. Lets shift business away from this disgusting place and put stores like these out of business for good because we dont need them around period!
