Horrible experience... Spent my day washing, gathering and folding my clothes to provide to FreeStyle only to be told by the blue haired girl that they stop accepting clothing at 10am. No problem, just wish that policy was reflected on their website. I like FreeStyle but wont be returning to this location.

I have to be honest. I see how Freestyle stays in business, they quote you the lowest price possible for your items, charge you 30% and then sale those items for 75% more than what they paid you. Its ridiculous what they quote you and what they re-sell the items for. Even if your items were brand new in the box, you will get pennies. I was not expecting a million dollars for my trade in, but to bring in several items and only get less than 10 bucks for everything, yea im ok. Ill just gift them instead of giving Freestyle something they are just going to make money on.

This a dope spot, similar to buffalo exchange. They have everything from vintage to designer pieces, very good selection. Decent prices too. Staff is friendly!

The manager was completely rude and basically said I was lying in regards to a return I had. Not all the staff know what they are doing. One person said one thing another completely different. I felt like the older woman employees were stuck up and acted as if they better than me. Dont like the vibe of this place, probably never shop there again. Very unhappy with my service.

My FAVORITE second hand store! All of the FreeStyle locations are great but this one is the BEST! It feels so good to be able to buy all of my favorite brands (some with tags still on) in a way that is not only better for my wallet but also the planet!

Awesome find! Id say mid-tier clothing quality but for $3 for most items (shirts, pants, etc) thats really fair! Clothing is sorted well by size and color, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Found a nice pair of Ann Taylor brand pants. Just FYI most clothing is womens and theres a small mens section.

Clothes here are super cute. There is some stuff that is over priced, so look at brands before buying! Amazing deals on jeans, but there is not much difference between the price of jeans and the price of a tank top (which is why I say check brands!). Would go again for jeans and shoes though!

Great selection as always. I always find at least one gem if not more when I go in. Get way to recycle clothing in a way that everyone wins. Dont know what I did before finding them. Always a great day when I go there.

I have found so many great items at Freestyle exchange. The racks are neatly organized by color so it makes it easy if you are just looking for a specific style or item or easy if you’re looking at updating your wardrobe. The employees are always friendly and eager to help out. I definitely recommend checking this place out if your running around in midtown!

This is one of my go to places for good clothes at a great price. Had to come in to get a belt and they had one that fit.

One place I would suggest maybe not your style so why go. Dont fit into size 00 anymore? So who does? Why only tiny person clothing for average person it wont work. Better selection maybe next time but not now.

I always have good finds at this location and that says a lot because I am a size 2x! Its nice to finally have a place to go to find a few trendy items at affordable prices. I also have sold back items and for the most part receive fair in-store credit. I wish the outlet on 21st stayed open later.

Nice place and lots of styles to choose from. Very large selection of clothing means you will want to shop here only if you have enough time to do some browsing or simply to compare prices to other like stores in the area. Its a great place to buy quality clothing at very competitive prices.

Like Crossroads, they absolutely do **not** buy mens clothing here! I took the same stuff there as Crossroads and they barely even looked at it & did not want anything! Including a brand new pair of pants with the tags still on them. I also did not see a single mens garment here either, which again likely explains why they did not want any of the clothes I took in.

This place is really great. Lots of cute upscale, vintage, casual, Etc clothing and jewelry and handbag items. They have two sisters stores directly across the street from one another. I found some cute vintage Rock shirts there for a good price.

Really awesome clothes, pretty edgy and some pretty cool shoes too. The dressing rooms are a little small with nowhere to sit and only one hook to hang things on, so I ended up putting my bag on the floor and sorting the clothes by hanging them on the door. Organized well and prices are a little unpredictable. Cheapest thing I bought was 14$, but it was a really awesome jacket. Large bags werent permitted but there was a place to check them in to the right of the entrance. Can be a little confusing to navigate but overall a really awesome place

They have street clothes, but nothing too edgy or unique. I suppose it works for here, but I found them pretty meh & not very friendly. Youre Sacramento, not San Francisco.

Friendly and helpful staff and a large variety of reasonably priced clothing and shoes. I was impressed by the wide array of options. There is also a fair amount of vintage finds along with mens and womens options. Most items are in good shape.

Pretty cool selection of gently used clothes

Very cool styles. Great corner location in midtown. They give you fair money for clothes they buy from you (I believe it was 50% of what they will sell your clothes for as a store credit or 30% as cash). A bit pricey for my taste but what isnt in midtown and again, said articles are so unique its worth the price.

This shop has so many great finds. The prices are a little much though. The only thing I dont like is that I could bring in 3 trash bags of brand new, high quality, never worn clothes that are in season, that I want to sell and they will pick 2 things they will buy for $10 total and thats it. It is kind of a joke but $10 is better than $0 I guess.

I love this store, its the best Ive found that buys (upcycles) used clothes. The bigger store is clean and well stocked, plus the staff has always been helpful and funny.

Freestyle clothing is a very friendly and nice shop to get used clothes and new. They even do the bartering system. If you have some old clothes that you would like to trade in with something different good spot to go.

Freestyle is my number one clutch player when I have to shop for trendy looks on a dime, or if I need fast cash for trendy pieces I no longer need. The staff at the midtown location are PHENOMENAL! The prices for the treasures on thev rack simply cannot be beat!

I found the clothes to be overpriced. If you want to spend an hour sifting through racks to find one gem thats crazy discounted, go ahead. They were selling simple sweaters from Forever 21 for $15+. Dont expect any money for your clothes. Youre better off going somewhere else to sell used clothing. The worst part is you cant say no to the price they give you because theyve already tagged your clothes. Very unhappy and I wont be going back to buy or sell.

The worst service I have ever had, besides the cartel in Mexico! Some gal named Valerie was immateting people she did not no in California and the same thing happened when I brought in clothes I bought in after 2 trips in there I lost 15 Dollars . I will never go there again!

Was there 20 minutes before closing to sell some wallets, one gal was in front of me taking 15 minutes to purchase items and then some broad comes out from the back (she appeared to be the MOD) and tells me they are done selling for the day and I told her that I didnt just show up and that Ive waited 15 minutes but she refused to do her job. If u read this lady, the outfit you wore was the most grotesque choice of apparel Ive ever seen!

If you want good customer service make sure you come in looking like youve got money to blow. I was being watched like I was shoplifting, but when I needed assistance with finding a certain size, or when I wanted to try clothes on I was invisible. Meanwhile, the woman in the room next to me had her own personal shopper! I accidentally spilled a small amount of my Starbucks and immediately went to get towels to clean it. The girl, half my age, didnt offer to help and watched me get on my hands and knees in front of a store full of people. I could hear giggles and felt so belittled. Not a great experience, staff needs customer service training and to treat ALL people equally.

When its time to clean out my closet I sell clothes here, and rummage through to see if they have any unique items. Ive bought 3 pieces from here that Im totally in love with. Great place for the clothes scavenger. 👍

Customer service needs improvement. I never sold here before so I wanted more information on the policy etc. and the young lady with the gorgeous eyes/blonde hair/ pretty face around 5’4 (who was working on 11.26.19 around 10:30 am) energy was so unpleasant, it’s as if she didn’t want to answer any basic questions (which is her job) maybe because I had on sweats& a beenie (very comfortable&warm) but she made me feel soo uncomfortable, I felt like I was prejudged. After speaking with her& not getting quality customer service I decided not to sell my quality clothes here. This store needs to hire better positive energetic kind employees or you will always lose good business.

Have been coming to Freestyle for years, I especially loved the previous location, although smaller, boasted a lot of really great finds + accessories I still own to this day. However, the newer location consists of overpriced, out of style/season items from years ago. When I visited last night, it seemed everybody was off their game, rude and unfriendly. A customer in the store was unhappy because they received $11 for a ton of clothes taken, which in the end, they couldn’t even find once the customer realized she didn’t want to sell. Maybe that contributed to the off vibe in Freestyle, but it was enough to turn me away for good. I do have to say, I did find a good deal on a brand new bag for $5, but the way the staff was acting towards customers compared to my incredibly positive experiences with the former location has me confused quite frankly.

Sometimes you can find a good deal here.They buy a lot of trash too so its kind of like sorting through the discount bin, but with occasional above average finds.

The selection of clothes is wonderful. You can find some real gems. I particularly enjoy their vintage section. However, the staff is very unpleasant at this location. With the exception of a few, the staff consistently seems irritated to be there and irritated that you’re there. Basically, they’re not welcoming at all. They also do not purchase much from you and give you very, very little for your clothing. So, heads up if you think you can use a lot of your trade’s store credit for your purchases, you’ll end up spending more than you’d like.

My first experience selling, I did my homework from their website,(stating summer clothing accepted) walked in, noticed an assortment of I guessed were employees uninterested in my inquiry to how I begin. I was given some instruction, sign in, (time was around 2ish) then after some gibblish, I was told a wait time of two hours. Ok, I thought I could check the purchase options, especially after learning how my items must be in perfect, clean, not dated conditions, I could spend the time getting some great buys .After a good time going thru the store, not impressed, I asked to use the restroom, Response was... I had to find one out of the store. I left to do other errands, returned around 7ish, only to be told one item was purchased, I could receive 13.00 cash or 22.00 credit. I received my selling items back, all in perfect order, not touched, buyers did not have time or care to tell me they ran out of energy and time to give my items chance to sell. I wasted so much time making sure my items were clean, pressed, name brands,(brands and condition far better than what I observed) only to be disappointed and the associate was so lacking of professionalism, I know its a thrift store but they could show some kind of representation, empathy, they just dont care, like she said, she did her best. I do not really blame her, It is the owners, managements responsibility. I will not be doing business with any freestyle clothing exchange. They need to focus on better customer service. O and their selection is way over priced and in poor condition.

This place is a succubus. You come in for maybe just a look around, and then you are seduced by that faux fur coat, or those boots that will complete that one outfit. Suddenly youve got an armful of clothes, and all that work Marie Kondo did for you is gone.

There are two across the street from each other and I really enjoy shopping there. The staff is amazing!

Got there 30 mins before closing they announce they will be closing down registers in 10 mins. My sister and I wanted to try on the clothes we picked out we had 4 shirts and she had a pair of jeans. The lady said the fitting room closed 5 mins ago. But didn’t announce it. So we just left. Terrible customer service, very rude, didn’t communicate with the customers that the fitting rooms closed 5 mins ago. Never coming back here again. Waste of gas. Waste of time.

I sold clothes to them years ago at the old location, even found a couple cute pieces. Went in 2 months ago to try and sell a bag full of clothing, including pairs of hollister shorts in excellent condition. Took 40 minutes for the girl to go through my bag, which had at least 30 items of clothing in it and said they found nothing they wanted. Clothing in there can be overpriced and the staff arent friendly anymore. Will be taking my business elsewhere, total waste of my time.

After ringing up $11 jeans with the half off stamp on them the clerk told me I owed $11.95. 😐 This store has a lot of Forever 21 and Target brands. Decent shoe and denim selection. Lacking on the tops and mens clothes.

My experience here was awful! The people who work here are honestly rude. I walked in and an asian guy wearing a black shirt looked at me weird and didnt even bother to say hi. I stood by the counter trying to sell clothes and no one even said anything. I was ignored for about 3 minutes and the girl at the register glanced at me quickly and made me wait. She then came and told me to set my stuff down and to sign in. She called me right back after about 4 minutes. She didnt even look through my stuff. She was very rude! I will not come back here again. I didnt get her name because she had no name tag or anything but she was light skinned with light blue grey contacts I believe. Worst customer service here. My friends told me they had the same situation here and it was horrible for them as well. I felt like I had to come in and try it for myself and so I was told! Never again. Prices here are pretty expensive, some stuff arent even nice looking. Although a couple of things are cheap the workers think they are all that when they are not. Asian guy, and light skin girl are the worst!

Very picky as to what they want. Most of the clothes I was trying to sell to them had tags on them still; and very good condition, and I had a lot of clothes. They only took 3 items. Most staff was friendly except for girls at the counter accessing the clothes. Had really snooty attitudes and terrible customer service. A lot of the clothes in there are overpriced.

Staff is irratating....like dont tell me how many articles of clothing I have only to grabed them from my hands and double check...$11 for a faded black polo? Who is doing the pricing!? There are some good stuff but a bit on the pricey side for used clothing.

Small selection, but what is there of the selection is $10 shirts from cheap stores such as Forever 21. That’s ridiculous, I could go to forever 21 to buy the same shirt for maybe 2 dollars more, if that. Very overpriced with a small range of sizes. The vintage section is hardly vintage. Horrible costumer service, you get followed around if you don’t look hipster enough. Maybe I’ll color my hair and bring a juul next time. I’ll fit right in with the staff.

The ladies that work there all are amazingly fashion icons to me they all dressed to the nines everyday it seems like theyre all friendly they all know what theyre doing their very knowledgeable when selling clothes their prices are terrific and it gets fast prompt service from a place thats really busy all the time its a great clothing store I love it and I love the ladies at work their theyre all amazing thank you to everyone at freestyle clothing you always make my day when I patron your store !

The staff is rude and the store is messy and disorganized. The staff is a bunch of rude wannabe hipsters. Don’t go to this location. The Roseville or Folsom one is much better and has a better selection of clothes.

Mixed review on the boutique location - they have a nice selection of clothes. However the two times I have gone, they have not opened on time, the time it clearly shows on the door. This last time they opened 20 minutes late! It was a frustrating waste of time. The boutique also does not buy clothes any more, so I wasted all that time waiting for them to open for nothing. The previous time when they did still buy clothes, the buyer was rude; it seems like that is standard in the 2nd hand clothes buying world but why?

Until today, I thought highly for FreeStyle Clothing Exchange and its staff. I have sold there many times. Today, when I came in, the dark haired woman behind the counter was unbelievably nasty; bitingly nasty. When she went through my clothing that I had brought to exchange, she picked up each garment between her thumb and forefinger with a look o disgust on her face. She then told me that I didnt have anything that they would be interested in buying. I took my bag of clothing to CrossRoads Trading Company on Arden Way and they purchased all of my new five linen tops, the two linen skirts, the four pair of never worn designer shoes. They also purchased all but one of my vintage dresses. I left CrossRoads with two designer purses, a pair of designer cowboy boots AND $67 dollars in my pocket. Perhaps FreeStyle management should have secret sellers visit their stores to learn for themselves, how customers are treated. That dark haired woman had a serious attitude problem. Sheesh. .

I came there around noon with around 30 or 32 shirt, skirt, two swingpack (one being a Coach bag) and a handbag. I gave them an A on meet and greet. The store itself was clean and had good clothes but the as far it go. There were two other before me so I look around amd that most were the trans and hiper types. I got a little worried because some my clothes are bright and colorful, but dont think to much into it. As soon thire were done with the first to they quickly look though the clothes, talk most of the time and I dont see them check the bag out. It take 10 minutes to call back and told me they dont take any because of style and conditions of the clothes. Some if not most I only wear once because thire were gifted to me and collecting dust in my closet. To top it off they ripe the bag handed off and I had pay them for a bag. Look I get if I tied bags too tightly but they could have asked me to open it for them. People ask if I go to the Roseville one I dont know if I ever go. specially if they following the trance and almost never been worn and they act like the way they did in Midtown.

It aint what it used to be when the crowd was small and the selection was bountiful. People decided they couldnt afford regular price all of a sudden.
