Honest and knowledgeable. Both Ryan and Chris worked with me on two vehicles that I brought in for service and repair. No BS from these two gentlemen, refreshing. The customer service was outstanding. I was having an issue with one of the vehicles for a long time and spent hundreds of dollars having multiple other repair shops in Sacramento attempt to fix the problem. No one could figure it out. Ryan nailed it right away and the vehicle has never run better. I wish I would have brought my vehicles to this place first.

Great Mechanics who do quick, but quality work.

Since I don’t know very much about cars most places I’ve gone to before have tried pressuring me to make all these change to my car, just to spend a bunch of money but here Chris broke everything down to me and made me feel very comfortable and confident that I was going to be taken care of and not taken advantage of. This was consistent from the start to the end of my service. I will definitely be coming here again and I would strongly recommend coming here!

If you havent been here in a while or previously had a not so great experience with the old ownership, Id highly recommend that youd stop by again and get to know Chris and Ryan. Theyve recently taken over this location, and they do a first class job as far as customer service goes, without a doubt and more importantly ensuring that your car is well taken care of. AAMCO, obviously is known for the quality of work they do on cars, however the people you encounter at the different stores, can be questionable. They had friendly customer service, they dont get over on you and they truly know their stuff when it came to fixing my transmission. Only thing didnt like is you be waiting for them to look at your car for awhile.

The new owners are great. I took my truck in a couple of weeks ago and they def took good care of me. They are knowledgeable, considerate, and organized. They worked with my schedule and even asked that I bring my truck back in a couple of weeks to make sure all repairs were perfect.

For awhile I have been apprehensive when going to a shop being a girl however not anymore! If you want great service from knowledgeable mechanics, then you found the right place. Even though I live in Elk Grove Its worth the extra drive to the AAMCO on Arden Way because the quality of service and price. Their ability to accurately diagnose the issue on your car is incredible.They always gets the job done in a timely manner and it stays fixed. Theres no need to search for any other mechanics. This is the only one you will ever need for the rest of your life.

I came in at 11AM on a Thursday to investigate a loud squeak under the hood that increased in loudness while accelerating so I asked for a diagnostic and i was told it would be a 70 point inspection at no cost so this reassured me that the true issue will be discovered so after i left it for a few hours i came back to the information that the problem was fixed, it was only a loose clamp, I was happy and relieved it wasnt anything major so all i had to do was sign that the diagnostic was complete and take off. I highly recommend for all types of problems and issues, I will be back to AAMCO if i ever run into anymore problems or issues.

Had a wonderful experience at this Aamco. They were honest and accommodating. Diagnosed my problem and referred me to a dealership for warranty work. I highly recommend this Aamco location.

These guys are really terrible. Dont waste your time and money. They were that bad and made me that angry that Im writing my very first review for them to tell people how they are.I gave my Toyota Corolla 2000 to them to fix its transmission. After a day they called me with a crazy price! The mechanic said it cost $3400 to get fixed! I said I bought my car less than this, do you have any other option for me and they suggest me to replace the transmission with a used one without any guarantee and responsibility from them with $2000! I went there to take my car and they charged me $40 because of the test! I said your prices are crazy and the guy smiled at me  when he was inserting my card to card reader. I fixed my car plus a year warranty just for $1000.They rebuilt the transmission.

I just LOVE this place. Its so important to have a mechanic you can trust and thats what I have found here. Chris, the manager there helped diagnose what I thought was a major tyranny issue and turned out to be something that wasnt gonna put me in debt afterall! I wont take my car anywhere else. I get ALL my regular maintenance done there and they can handle any big stuff too. Thanks to Chris and the staff!

Came in for a free transmission check, was quoted maybe half a day to day, and had my car back within a few hrs these guys are good, fast and reliable thanks aamco!!

Check Engine Light, in their defense, yea it may take time to get an appointment for that there. AAMCO is a little more specialized than most(transmissions) so they will already have lots of appointments booked up. If you just want to check your check engine light then go to any other general auto shop. Its not really something you go to a specialized shop like this unless there is no rush to you. They would of course help, but they are a little more busy than others who do general maintenance/repairs. I know when I go the AAMCO its just for transmission related items, but they do other services too, just expect more than average wait due to the amount of customers.

Took my jeep to aamco due to no ac and chris the manager got me back on the road the next day ! Great service and will be back for all car needs

My experience with AMMCO. Was great and I was very pleased with the service and also with customer service.

Took in car to get their maintenance check done. Told me I needed an oil change after getting my oil done barely even 2 months ago, told me I need a new sensor and charged me almost $300 just for those two things and also said they refused to drive my car until we did those two things. Said my transmission was almost completely crap and told me it was going to be $6000 to have it replaced and went to another shop and was told nothing was wrong. But after getting it back from aaamco my ac makes a very weird noise, my alignment jerks to the right and now my brakes grab. Highly recommend looking else where for business unless you have enough money to fix what they screw up.

Im only giving one star simply because I have to in order to leave a review. We arrived early this morning to see if we could get some help and left extremely unhappy. First off my husband is a mechanic and do not have the proper tools to fix our truck cause we are 2 thousand miles away from home. He went inside to see if we could get someone to take a look at our vehicle or just hook up the code scanner to our truck to see what exactly is coming up wrong. The guy at the counter said he would check with his tech. This tech walks into the front office, doesnt even look my husband in the face and says out loud So he replaced the throttle valve by himself and now it doesnt work. How does that make it my emergency? send them somewhere else. then walks out. How unprofessional and rude!! so the first guy comes back to give us a card and hand writes the address to another AAMCO location about 15 mins away. avoid this place at all costs! if they treat people like that, imagine what theyll do to your car!

Worst service I have ever had. A complete scam. I just had my alternator done, but when I took it to them they said I had a bad alternator. The bad alternator held a charge just fine, but made noise. He failed to tell me it was only bad because it is loud! until after I asked for my old alternator back. Nice $500 spent. Paying isnt the problem, but being misleading is a underhanded move in my opinion.

They helped me out on the weekend when I was in a jam. And helped me find a rental at a good rate. Jay at AAMCO really took care of me and walked me through every stop of the process of having my transmission repaired. A+ for the service and the quality of work.

I wanted to write and take a moment to thank you for being here for me and my car, I brought my Sunfire in for service and Ryan was very good at helping me find out what was wrong with my car, I had taken my car to another repair facility and was overcharged for a battery and oil change, your manager Ryan was able to tell me why my turn signal was not working, also he recommended a transmission service. My car feels like it was when it was brand new, you guys have a customer for life thank you for the awesome work.

This was my first time visiting AAMCO. It is under a new management and the manager works hard to provide customers courteous, honest and professional service. The manager was knowledgeable and he took the time to explain the problems with my transmission and the required repairs. His cost estimate was on target and considerably less than the Jaguar dealer. I am completely satisfied with the customer service and repairs. I returned a week letter for them to replace the heater control valve. Again, he was considerate of my time and delivered the car as promised. Great service, convenient location (two nearby car rental places) and clean waiting area and bathroom!

Wouldnt give an estimate over the phone asked me to bring the car in. When i brought the car in they couldnt give me any estimated time on how long it would take. Only accepting drop offs. Really backed up i guess

Just had great experience with the new owner and manager chris they know what there doing. They rebuilt my transmission on my 2004 yukon for reasonable price and fast im very happy. If you want it done right this is your place.

Pretty much they did a few things good and many things poorly, especially patronize and attempt to take advantage of me, all while indirectly insulting my intelligence.They were quick on the diagnostic and getting back to me on what was wrong which was nice.They overcharged me by quite a bit, which is not unusual with shops its just the way it goes. However, in one case they quoted me $1,000 on two sensors, one of which just had to be cleaned and all the problems were solved. The cleaning solution was $8.50 at ORiley Auto Parts, they get 5 stars. So gross over pricing.When I told them I didnt want the work done, I paid $1,800 for the other work they did which is holding up and I am happy with. As I was leaving the head mechanic came out and pretty much told me that i was an idiot for not wanting to fix my car. I want to and have fixed my car, and I saved a thousand dollars in doing so. He went around and around, in a very angry and condescending tone, telling me it was a circuit problem when the day before he wanted to replace the mechanical components regarding the sensors. Basically he tried to change his story in order to try to have me change out the sensors. When he was done trying to convince me to get the work done, he mockingly told me that I guess the customer is right, however you dont know how to take care of your car.I have gotten work done at Aamco in Southern California before, including a rebuilt transmission, which is working perfectly. This shop, however, has left a bad taste in my mouth with their actions, chiefly the customer service from their mechanic. Front desk was great at communication and getting back to me. For the sake of any future customer, research the problems online and prepare yourself for them to try and have you get needless work done so they can get extra money.Newsflash: there is a difference between consulting a customer and insulting them.

Had a very bad experience with Aamco on 2257 Arden way Sac 95825 on April 9th 2014 at 11am! My a/c in my car was running cold and enuff 2 get me by through the summer but I notice since last summer of 2013 it was not running as cold as last summer so since Aamco does free a/c inspection I thought Id bring my car in to see if it needed something minor like coolant,, Now before they made me an appt. I made it clear over the phone my a/c runs cold but not as cold as last summer of 2013>my appt was set for 4/9/2014 earlier 2day at 9:30am they took my car in and did some test on my a/c they came back and told me I needed all this stuff fixed on my a/c and to start with it the cost would be $200, I didnt get it done I just figure it would have to stay the way it was,, when I left the shop I notice my a/c was not running cold at all no anymore! I immediately called the manager back and told them look my a/c was running cold air now since you guys checked it out now its not running cold at all, they try to tell me all this other stuff and talk over me and I told them I may be a female but your not running over me so I drove back to the shop and they didnt want to agree with nothing I said and I felt I was being taken advantage of because I was a female by myself so I called the police dept they came to the shop and asked me whats the problem I told the cop they told me to type up a bad review on their shop and take them to small claims court which I plan on doing! As a female im so sick and tired of these car shops taking advantage of females. By me writing this report I hope I help others and I would not take my car to the Aamco on 2257Arden way of Sacramento at ALL!!!

Aamcos commercial claims theyll check your engine light for free, but they dont tell you that you have to have an appointment first, and the location on Arden is only open till noon on Saturdays and till five during the week. They certainly dont cater to the working class.

Was visiting from out of town and this aamco worked very fast to get me back on the road to my family!!!!!!!!

Scheduled an apt for 8am. Arrived and front desk said the tech was out due to an emergency. They didnt cancel because they “didnt have my number.” Unprofessional. I should have read the reviews first.
