As a business owner with employees and 46 years experience I can easily recognize a dedicated and knowledgeable staff. These folks have always done their best to help me. As a working Contractor it is important to partner with the best. I recommend them highly.

Its a rock yard. And, they have a decent selection of bagged materials. It works like most commercial places, not homeowner focused, which is to be expected. Oh, and the bags they use are not plastic (you cant see through them, you have to tour the yard) but they are really nicely bagged...really! Nice bags.

Staff very friendly! The guys at warehouse have a great sense of humor and extremely customer friendly! We bought bags of decorative garden rock. Highly recommend this business.

They are very professional and all employees are very helpful. Also the delivery is faster than other place.The salt and pepper rocks we ordered are good quality and everything is great.

Came here 20 min before closing with a short list of what I needed. No sample bins of the different rocks to save me from walking all over the dusty lot. When I suggested I look at the pictures they had online, I was told they werent accurate. The salesperson told me to walk around the lot and read the numbers on the sections, read the paper and circle the numbers of what I wanted. I started off through the dust again. I came to more than a few unmarked sections and realized I was going to need more explanation since some of the bins were unmarked. I went back through the dust again to explain that and was told I was not going to be helped with this. We had already discussed what mulch I needed, that literally took 3 min. I was prepared to spend several thousand dollars and told the salesman that, but if I wasnt going to get any help I was going to take my business elsewhere. He told me I shouldnt have come 15 min before closing. I admit if he had actually done his job as a salesperson, I might have been there until 3:15 or 3:20. If it were my business I would have done what I could to make a nice sale like that. He said he was sorry I was taking my business elsewhere, but clearly not sorry enough to do anything about it. Wont be spending my money here.

Last week I went in there and bought 15 yards of bark for my house. They automatically gave me a discount because I bought so much, and they delivered it to my house for free. I respect the way Cascade Rock does business.

The “salt and pepper” rock they brought was terrible quality and looked awful. We called to ask for it to be switched and they said WE have to bring it all back! Do NOT RECOMMEND. Terrible customer service go to Any other place.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I did not know how to calculate what I needed or how to best arrange it, and the staff took the time time to do my calculations and give me recommendations, for a SMALL project!

They seem to have a good selection of both bulk material and larger pieces to choose from. The staff was very nice. I encountered 3 different people that were working as I was casually walking around the yard looking at all the rocks and each one of them went out of their way to offer me genuine help.

Absolutely amazing. I come from further away to pick up rocks here and they have never steered me wrong. When I need more polished black rocks or large moss rocks I will be back. Also they have the good weed block mat that is better than home depot or Lowe’s sells.

Excellent service, pricing but they really excel with unusual nice product and large high quality stones/boulders for landscaping. If you want something specific, ask them, they will get it if possible for you. Ive done business with them going on 10 years now. My review is not a one time or several time review, or a grumpy bad experience. They have been more than fair and consistent. They earned my business.

20-5 1st time customer/review:-- Very helpful, accommodating, listening retail sales staff.-- Competent, patient, nice yard machinery operators.-- Quick service even though yard was bustling with a half dozen large & small clients.-- Lots of selection at a good price.-- FYI: small stone/sand is loose (not bags). So, they will front loader tractor dump it into a truck bed. Otherwise, ya have to shovel it yourself if loading into a closed vehicle (i.e. mini van).

They don’t have fake rocks but they have a lot of real rocks.

When I need to get materials for our yard, I dont even consider anywhere else. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about what you need. Ive bought from them more than a half dozen times over 17 years in Sacramento and have never left the yard feeling anything other than fully satisfied.

Ive used these folks in the past. Went there in person to get matching bark for our front and yards. Their shredded cedar was a very close match.Their prices are competitive, and they waive delivery fees on orders of five cubic yards or more. You can mix and match materials to total five cubic yards. We had two yards of raised bed mix and three yards of decomposed granite for our first order.We live on a very narrow street. The driver was able to drop each type of material fight where I wanted it on our driveway-- a big plus, in my book.

Cool place to go for landscaping rock. Amazing colors, all natural and sorted for you. For sale by the bag and not the truckload which is great for mosaics. Friendly and helpful service in the showroom so dont be intimidated by the super-sized commercial/industrial complex.

I tried to ask for alittle price break..the sales guy didnt even try to negotiate and said to go somewhere else. Definitely wont get my money. Very rude and unprofessional

This facility is a joke. I needed really clean fill dirt to level a project that our company was working on. I was sold really poor soil (rock and clay) and requested a refund. I was rudely told I shouldnt complain. It cost us time and money. My company will no longer do business with this facility. Hasties products are far superior and consistent.

We buy our wood chips and lawn stones from Cascade Rock. The staff is really helpful. We are DIY people and we appreciate advice on which rocks to choose and how to combine them for curb appeal. The cedar chips have been great bug repellents as well. We are loyal customers and are very happy.

Id been searching high and low for round stepping stones with exposed aggregate rock. This was the only place in a 50 mile radius that carried them. They have tons of different options for rock and such. Friendly and reasonable.

Good service, but the 50% compost mix was almost pure sand and nothing grew very well. There really is no good place in Sac for bulk compost.

No hours posted.I arrive a half hour before the closing time posted online, and theyre already closed. Recommend calling ahead to make sure someone is actually there.

This company is always late. I have had to call them everytime I ordered with them to make sure they were coming since they have been extremely late. I decided to give them a few tries since their prices are good but whats the point if the service is terrible. I advice against this company especially if you are a contractor.
