This auto shop was recommended to me by another auto shop. The first time I came here was actually pretty nice and I felt as though I was treated with respect. However, this was my second time and… with all due respect, I did not care for the treatment I received from an employee working the front desk. I dislike being rude but- Johnny was being a bit of a jerkface.I don’t understand what I did to annoy him but my friend also commented on the fact that he seemed very short with me.
A place you can trust. Had 2 of our cars serviced there. Always happy.
By far the most knowledgeable BMW service experts in the Sacramento area. Pricing is fair and good value. Consultative and holistic approach to diagnostics, advising which issues are most serious and which can be deferred. I would not take my BMW anywhere else.
Great bunch of guys. They know their stuff. Been coming here for years. Wouldnt take my 528 any place else.
Knowledgeable on Porsche, labor is reasonable but part cost are on the high side.
AWESOME service. Very knowledgeable.
I have serviced several BMWs and Porsches with Stuart Krum over the last 20 years. You can trust Stuarts advice and his prices are fair. Stuart will never advise you to do work he does not think is necessary and will help you manage your maintenance. He is always thoughtful and thinking of the long term relationship. I highly recommend this shop.
Ive used this shop for a couple complicated installations on my 335i and I have been very happy with the results. They have done very quality work and are the only shop Ive taken my car to when the job isnt something Ive wanted to complete myself. All of their staff and the owner are very friendly and great about keeping you updated on the status of your car. Would highly recommend to other BMW owners as theyre very knowledgable about the brand.
My experience was positive and the staff was knowledgeable.
Very good, honest work, and customer service. Have bought 2 BMWs from private sellers because they were serviced here. Will continue to bring my cars to them.
Great service, personable and, affordable. Went in for a pre-purchase inspection. Great detail in their report and if course very professional. Will reccomend to any BMW driver!
Good mechanics for the most part, but greed can be youre worst enemy, I took my 745i for service and I was slapped with a $4300 repair invoice. Thank god for the Bureau of Automotive repairs I only had to pay $ 1500 for the work that was actually done. The owner is delusional by the way.
Schatz and Krum has taken great care of my BMW’s and Porsche’s for over 10 years. Taking your car to a new shop can be very stressful so I was referred by a friend who was also a long term customer.I have been completely satisfied with the professionalism and attention to detail with all of my vehicles. Being a woman who loves her cars, I need to fully trust my mechanic and I can honestly say that Schatz and Krum has Never let me down.
They are extremely knowledgeable and definitely work with you. Good prices for repairing cars by far the best place to go. I wouldnt chose any other place.
Back in the early 2000s I had a broken driveshaft on my old ‘88 528e replaced with an upgraded one that was vastly superior. Excellent work that totally solved the problem. Fast forward another several years, and five additional BMWs, and their work has been superb for each car. Small and large repairs/tunes are done efficiently and quickly, and they always have a solution for any problem. It’s a permanent “go-to” shop for us!
I have been a Schatz and Krum customer for a few years. Before leaving California, they were the exclusive repair shop for my 7 series. I now live on the east coast and I appreciate the kind of service and care that I always received at their shop. If youre in need of auto repair/maintenance and you want to pay a fair price, this is the place you want to go. Maybe it gets better than this; but I havent seen it!
I have been a customer of Schatz & Krum for nearly 18 years. There is no question Stu and his team have saved by tailpipe over the years. Lets face it. If you own a German car you can expect to pay the premium prices. Stus prices are very fair and you can count on them taking care of the woes of your prized BMW or Porsche. I will take my cars to Schatz & Krum as long as he and team are around to take care of them.
Experianced, Knowledgeable, Straight Forward w/No B.S. !!! Personable & NOT Condesending in Any Way (Yes; Im Female & Yes it Still happens these days,, Elsewhere)
Went to Schatz & Krum looking for some basic help.. I do know that they are not in the business to dispense free advice, but would it have hurt them to help anyway? My question did not take anyones time except the counter persons, (there job anyway) & all he focused on was not helping when I explained that I didnt have any money now.. Yes it might not have been the best business practice to do so, but it would have earned them a customer for life, & a great review.. In this economy, we need to help each other a little more, & not given the bums rush...
Great guys, Joe, Timothy and Stu. They took extremely good care of my Dinan M3 and Stu even took me to the Infineon race track for track day. He scared me to death in a good way. What a driver! They now are the baby sitters of my M6 and I know it is in good hands. Reliable and honest, exactly what I like.
Very Satisfied with their work over the past 4 years. Fair, prices, good communication, quality work. They have helped me keep my 2001 BMW 325ci running for more than 225,000 miles.
Honest, honest, honest shop. I came to discuss getting Dinan installed in a BMW Id just purchased, and the owner convinced me to drive the car for a few months first to get used to it so I could actually feel the difference that Dinan makes. So, I came into the shop basically saying here, take my money, but they chose to convince me to hold off, which in the end made me happier.Gotta appreciate that level of honesty and customer care.
Had my 5 series worked on for over ten years! S2 was probably the best at what he does, would not have trusted anyone but him and his team with my car! When I buy another BMW I will be back!
The best place in Sacramento to take your German automobile for quality, reliable service at a fair rate. Theyve maintained all of my BMWs for the last 10 years.
Great guys. Solid work solid customer service
If you care about your vehicle do not bring to schatz & krum. They are crooks they will milk your insurance company, get paid to do work they have not done and work they will do will be poorly done. Stuart is a very poor excuse for a human being and he will look you in the eye and lie to you.
Would not trust these guys to fix a 90s Honda. First encounter was with the body shoy (now closed) where I prepaid for some frame work then was charged and extra $200 I never authorized. Then was told that my frame not repairable. Then with the auto repair shop. I brounbr my 335 in to be looked at for a problem they couldnt diagnose, but they did locate an oil leak that brought my bill to 300 dollars and all the did was replace the oil filter, add a little oil and was the underside of the car, which took 3 business days
These guys are ok for oil changes, they are pricy. 103$/HR even for my pockets. 80$/HR sounds more reasonable especially for a shop. Sometimes they will charge you literally for nothing, and of course they will lie to you that its a 4 hour job when its just a simple 30 minute computer scan. Thats how I got charged almost $500 for nothing and didnt tell me what the issue is with my M5.Honestly guys, just go to the shop in Rancho on white rock rd, or the Roseville guys.I just bought an another M5, and where you think Ill be taking my car for diagnosis? Definitely not these idiots.
Let me start with the good.- Appointment time was pretty quick, 2 days out.-They did end up fixing the problem, maybe at a little more than I expected to pay but that part could have been my fault. See below.Neutral Points-The problem with my car was the spark plugs. I changed these 8 months ago but one of the plugs was faulty. Since I told them they had been changed they werent looked at until other tests were done. This ended up costing me probably an extra $100 for time. Neutral because if I didnt mention this they probably would have checked this first.Ok, now to the bad-As I get into my mini I realize no gas lights are lighting up. Hmm thats odd. My range says 1 mile...and now its zero. They had told me it was low on fuel so I told them to fill it up and charge me for the fuel. Didnt do that at all.-They dont carry gas on sight. Not a big deal but how they handled the situation was terrible. When I went back in to tell them my car had zero has in it they look at me like well what do you want us to do about it? Hmmm maybe look in the back for some gas or a gas can? After coming back to the front with and informing me they didnt have any gas at the shop I still had to ask for a fuel can.-When I finally got the gas and gave them the can back I didnt get anything close to a sorry. When I said they should have their techs keep an eye on the fuel gauge in the future I received an emotionless yea....well do that...-Also, asked a few times for quotes on general maintenance and had to keep asking and reminding themThat was my experience.Note to Schatz and Krum: If youd like to improve your service, if you mess up on someones vehicle, try a few of these things out of customer service 101-act like you care, even if you dont-offer a partial refund or future discount-ask the customer how you can make it right. We arent all looking for free work, a ride to the gas station or the car dropped off at my house 2 miles away with gas in it would have been great.
Very knowledgeable
TERRIBLE PLACE!
