Very positive re the communication of complete diagnostic steps and repair options. Fair price, slightly better than dealer, and same warranty. Communication, once repairs had been agreed to, could have been more timely. Was told it should be done by Friday the 7th. That day passed, and since they were closed on the week-end, I called the following Monday to get an update. Was told the shipment of the transmission had been delayed, but should be recd that day, and that completion MAY happen same day, or by following day, Tuesday. Tuesday passed: no word. Wednesday also passed with no word. Thursday AM I was called to let me know it was done. I should have been updated at least twice re delays, when I wasnt. I didnt NEED the car during the 2 weeks they had it, but IF I had, I would have been pretty annoyed. All in all, a positive experience that I would do again. Id just insist on better communication next time, in advance.

Good shop got my transmission replaced with a factory rebuilt on my 2006 F-150 crewcab runs great!

They were very thorough and outlining the initial inspection of my transmission. They provided options for fixing it that works best with my budget and the long term life of my truck. I picked the option that worked for me and they were able to get my truck fixed on the day as promised. I am very happy I chose AAMCO at the end after going to multiple places prior and didnt get the same experience. Ive been checking it and driving it to break it in and so far no issues, no leaks, no check engine codes which give me a peace of mind when driving the truck. Thanks Adam!

I recently got my a new transmission with AAMCO and Adam was great! He communicate with me about what was happening with my car and gave me a price and there were no hidden fees that was the exact price. The only problem was I waited three weeks to get my car back it wasn’t because of AAMCO thou it was the company that was delivering the transmission that wanted to take there time bringing it in. Other then that I will definitely go back for any problems I have with my car.

This is the second time I should have learned from the first time but I gave them another try and regret it now. I dropped my car off at 9:15 I was advised that I would get a call later that day about the car. Took the light rail back home. My partner got a call around 2:30 saying they were understaffed and our car wouldn’t be ready till 8:30 the following day. I called and spoke to some one by the name of Mark. And I was explaining the situation and he starts cutting me off saying that his 10 o’clock tech called out at 10:15. That was there excuse before the corona was going on the first time I tried their services. My car was going in for a replacement on an engine pressure sensor. So we could have waited to get it when they had more time and not understaffed they didn’t communicate with us clearly and now I have no car for another day. It’s very inconvenient. They are each privately owned so please don’t go here the other locations could be better but I would avoid this one.

I will give an honest grading after the service is done on my wifes vehicle. I just authorized to proceed with fixing and rebuilding transmission. Initially I didnt know this store so I will reserve until completed . Sorry for the impromptu grading. Well its been 8 months and its back in their shop again for the same reasons...transmission, theyve had it going on two weeks now...

This was a smooth experience. Vince was recommended to by a friend and took my vehicle to him. He set me yo an appointment the very next day. Got my problem looked at promptly and had the issue fixed just as quick. Couple of day’s after, I had my car and it is running great.

Nice shop, had a transmission inspection done here. Unfortunately, I cant say much more as I didnt have them proceed with the repairs for cost reasons, only the inspection.

Mechanic was short tempered but helpful. Over all Im pleased with the service.

Would highly recommend this location. I had an unusual issue with my car and they never gave up until they determined the fix. They went above and beyond and didnt charge any extra for all the extra time and effort they put in to repair my car. Vince and Bryon were extremely professional, knowledgeable and efficient.

The AAMCO staff was exceptional and well mannered, and very knowledgeable about my car situation. I needed a new transmission and was told that my car would be fixed by Tuesday. Today I received a phone call from AAMCO and they told me that my car was fixed and waiting for me to pick up. I would like to thank all the staff for all there hard work they do. You guys rock.

Adam was awesome, friendly and helpful every time he answered the phone or I got a phone call. He not only called me quickly after dropping my car off with the problem and the cost (which was more than reasonable) but explained about other issues I was unaware of and gave me price ranges and a plan of repairs for them. I guess he heard the distress in my sigh and voice because he immediately said hey dont worry, we can chip away at it. Very professional, Very courteous, and I believe has our best interest as the priority. I only gave 4 wanted to give 4.5 stars (didnt know how to do the half) but because I had to wait an extra day for my car due to the delivery of the wrong part twice. Man, they out did it when it comes to service.. I was hesitant at first, but they made me feel very comfortable. They explained everything very clearly, didnt rush or pressure me. I got a new transmission less than a year ago. And it has slipped since day one. Ive brought it back 3 times. They wont open it up and see whats wrong. They are just waiting for my warranty to expire. The men that own this location also own the one on Arden.... Go to the transmission tech on Power in and Elder Creek. Great work, and youll deal with a honest man. Not 2 CROOKS!

I was in transit from Oregon to Arkansas when the transmission developed a sever leak your team got me in and resolved the problem in the same afternoon getting me back on the road. I rated you 5 stars only because there was nothing higher! I was extremely pleased wit the service I received.

While traveling my transmission went out. Shaf ensured me that he would put my vehicle as a priority since I was traveling from so far away. Work was completed quickly and was also done correctly. Feel very relieved to have had someone care so much about my vehicle and also happy to have a nation wide warranty on the repair!

Professional and informative staff would be five stars but the location is kinda small and sometimes takes a little while for work to be completed due to waiting on parts

My daughter took our 2014 Chevrolet Impala in to get fixed.the gentleman was very courteous and knowledgeable about what the problem was with our car and took care of it. We have nothing but praise and good words for this company here.

Update:Im not sure what happened but a couple months after the transmission replacement my motor seezed up and again under warranty so I took it back to these guys and had a completely different experience. They kept my truck for over a month and when I finally picked it up I needed to get a jump start due to a dead battery. I knew the battery wasnt up to par but they just put in a new motor and had no problem charging me about $600.00 in extra items that the warranty didnt cover why not a new battery too? Anyway I got about three miles down the road and the check engine light came on. I pulled over and checked the oil in the motor, it didnt even show up on the dip stick. I also noticed some loose wires that were not secured to where they should have been. Looking closer I noticed almost all the wireing was unsecured and while looking at all the wireing I found a couple snapon tools scattered in and around the engine compartment. I also found shop rags in the engine compartment. Sone were very close to the belts and moving parts. About a week later my shifting selector cable went out. I found it melted against the exhaust manifold due to it not being secured property away from the hot manifold. Than a month or so after that I got a check engine light come on. It turned out to be a broken coil pack #8 cylinder. The A/C worked when I dropped it off but now it doesnt. Today the unsecured wires that go to my fan clutch were destroyed by the fan. Theres more but I dont want to type any more. All of which is totally unacceptable in my opinion. All these items should have been covered by them and there 12 month or 12,000 miles warranty but Im afraid to let them work on my truck now. I gave them a 4 star rating and now I dont want to give them any stars. I wont be bringing my truck or any other vehicles to these guys ever again. VERY DISSATISFIED & DISAPPOINTED ☹️They took my truck in right away and replaced the Transmission within 5 days. They worked with my warranty company and had to wait 4 days for the Transmission to be supplied/delivered.

Our car was occasionally shifting hard. Took it to this AAMCO. The guy up front has a used car salesman type smarmy persona. Should have known better but trusted the AAMCO name. Huge bill and they replaced 2 hoses they said were leaking. We had never had oil spots under the car. 3 weeks later, we now have huge spots under the car and, on inspection, the new hose was not clamped properly. The guy went into huge sales speech saying it needed a major overhaul and to be sure and bring it back if we had any more issues. Well, we have a new issue caused by them...coincidence? I think not. I believe they deliberately set it up to start leaking.

It has been some time but, we had a leak coming from the transmission. They recommend a complete overhaul because they did not repair that type of problem, the overhaul was not necessary and the service technician was surprised how well the gears were in great condition and asked if the transmission had already been rebuilt. I will never seek service at aamco nor will I ever recommend them.

I had my 4x4 truck transmission and transfer case repaired here last year and they could not seam to find what they wanted to charge me, first they told me $1500 the next day it went up to $1900, then the next day it went up to $2200, then on the fourth day up to $2900 plus tax so over $3300 for repairs. if I did not agree to the bill they would put my parts in a box a give back to me for $800 labor so I said fix it. So after two weeks went by they had it done, I go to pick up the truck and the check engine light is on, they did not change the control mod it had trouble shifting so I take it back to have them look at it, their mech drives it like a bat out of hell says it is fine (only is fine when peddle is floored) had to take to another trans shop to get it fixed cost me another $1300 oh and the transfer case still does not shift well either.

I would highly recommend these guys at this location. Adam and Travis both went above and beyond our expectations as far as taking care of what we needed and more. Being from out of town, we did not have the option to drop off out vehicle and come back. Needless to say it was a long day for us, but was definitely a pleasant one. In addition to helping us figure our options to fix our transmission, Adam was extremely hospitable and friendly throughout the entire time we were there and was very willingly to help in any way. he even gave us suggestions of places to go have lunch while we waited. couldnt have asked any thing more. They Did a great job doing what we needed and made some new friends in the process. Thank you!!

Called & made an appointment for standard transmission diagnostic. I was advised on the phone that it would take approx. 1 hour for their extensive diagnostic (including test drive, etc).When I arrived at the scheduled appointment, I was then informed it would be 2-3 hours for the diagnostics & I should entrust my car in their care - go home & await their response.I am not new ... a standard $39.95 diagnostic service does not equate to 2-3 hours of my automobile in their shop!!Red Flags arose - and I will not return.

I was charged $8,000 for a transmission replacement. 3 months later, it failed and they refused to repair it. Thieves I will never deal with aamco again.

On Friday 12/30/2016 at 8:42 am, I called this business to schedule an appointment at location 6441 Franklin Blvd, Sacramento.The guy responded was so mean, inpatient, and rude once he knew that I was going to redeem a coupon from their website for a free engine light inspection.I would rather go to another business and pay more for more respectful customer service.

It was ok I didnt get any work done so no comments on repair performance but I can say that they were knowledgeable towards the issue with my transmission which was some critical advice that I did not know b4 and now I do so thanks AAMCO..

My transmission went out on Tuesday the 13th of September and I called these guys up and Adam the manager answered the phone. He is very knowledgeable and helpful though I called too late to get the new transmission shipped that day he called his shipper and got it shipped anyway same day and had my truck towed in first thing Wednesday morning. He called me every step of the process including letting me know that my truck arrived ok via tow truck. He then had my whole truck checked out including brakes and suspension and computer codes. I am very happy with the service and Ill be back with any other vehicle needs I have going further

This s a great shop, thorough in the repairs. I actually came here becasue they priced the job lower when I called for a quote. The worst case scenario for Aamco would have still been $1000 more. I am happy I came here!
