We were in the market for a smaller car and purchased a Volkswagen GTI a few weeks ago. The customer service was outstanding and low key. They were exceedingly personable and professional. We did not feel pressured at all. The pricing was fair, Ryan went above and beyond to coordinate our trade in and extended warranty. The car is exactly what we were looking for. I absolutely love it and it is in beautiful condition.We were a bit apprehensive as we were not familiar with the dealership and we have heard lots of used car horror stories. Our experience here could not be further from that stereotype. This is a highly professional dealership and I would (and will) recommend it to my friends and family.

I had worked with Jake and he was very kind. Just like a couple other reviewers, I had also purchased a vehicle that needed work. When I test drove it, I felt shaking. I could tell it was the car however, since the area is new to me and the roads are not in the best condition, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and purchased anyway. Bad idea on my part.I had called back and the manager at Petrol had me go to the shop they use - RBK auto tech -. I was there for four hours and they said they looked at everything and it all looked good but had my car taken to a tire shop they use for tire balance. After the tire shop rebalanced the tires twice (supposedly), RBK said that there is still an issue and to take it to a different tire shop because THEY dont trust the tire shop that THEY use. One of the mechanics had also said that it could be the torque converter but insisted that its the tires.I took it to a shop I trust in my area and they immediately said its the torque converter not functioning properly due to the fluids being BLACK and the filter needing to be replaced. Its a maintenance issue not covered by warranty. its something that should have been completed prior to selling the vehicle, or maybe completed by RBK auto tech when I was there for FOUR hours. Since the transmission is sealed and fluids are not able to be checked without just replacing the fluids, they dont do it, (petrol admitted). However, they also did say that replacing ALL fluids is usually standard practice but will not cover the cost of this maintenance issue since I already purchased the vehicle and its my responsibility now. I had started this whole process one week after I purchased the car, its now been a month.Petrol does not fix the vehicles they sell, they are literally just there to sell cars. However, I do feel they have a responsibility to make sure the shop they use performs properly. Since Petrol uses that shop for their vehicles I feel it is appropriate to place on this page.If they had offered to reimburse the cost to do the maintenance that they admitted is usually done prior to selling, then this review would be completely different.

I wanted a used small SUV that I could use for commuting and also for surf and snowboard trips. Although I ended up spending over my budget, Jake took the time to explain to me the steps of buying my Rav4 with financing. We worked an auto detailing into the price, but a detailer was not able to make it so Jake and his team sent me a check in the mail 4 months later when I got new tires to make up for it.Just shows the integrity they have at Petrol.Thanks again!Parker

Went in several weeks ago to test drive a car and liked it enough but not enough to be sold on it, but that was totally cool. I felt no pressure to buy the car or trade mine in. Zero pressure what so ever, a very welcome change from experiences Ive had in the past, especially considering the reputation of Folton Ave dealers. Ryan, Jake and Peter are definitely doing their best to change that reputation one customer at a time. Not only did they be super cool with me testing driving with no immediate intention to buy but they did it twice and were very patient with me after I harassed them with questions I had after the pre purchase inspection revealed some potential issues. After talking to numerous techs about the inspection result I felt good that the car was okay to buy but I later found that the 12 volt power nor the cigarette lighter worked. My bad for assuming someone at some point tested the accessory power, simple enough to fix with a replacement fuse though. Still they gave me what I wanted for my trade in but didnt install the floor mats nor remove the plastic from the floors but my wife and I were on a tight timeline so that may have been a contributor. Minor issues in the grand scheme of things though. All and all Im walking away feeling really good about the experience. Definitely recommend checking them out and paying attention to the review scores as not all Fulton dealers are full of con men.

I really appreciate their hard work to get me a loan and make it as quick and smooth as possible all in the same day.

Would consider alternative dealerships on Florin. Cars have been purchased from auction with little reconditioning done. Test drove 3 out of 4 cars, I would rate the car as 6/10, coming from a mechanic.

Today we purchased a car from this dealership and I was really dreading it. I hate to go back and forth with dealerships and I expressed that bluntly to begin with and told them what I wanted. Jake was such a sweetheart and they did everything they could to make me happy! The owner was very nice and told me a price he could do in 3 minutes. They even fixed a problem with the car that same day. Today was my first day car hunting and I didn’t think that I would find a dealership the same day I started looking that would give me a car that fit all my needs. I would highly recommend this shop and going through Jake for a salesperson, he was knowledgeable and didn’t make the process take hours to complete!

Was horrible I forgot my salesman name he didnt know anything about the car. I bought a 2017 chevy Camaro I gave him a heads up and ask for him to atleats have the car washed and he didnt .They hide defects on my car with black tape hiding straches on the rims. Also my convertible top has window separation. Thank God my insurance covered It . Just be careful and bring an extra set of eyes when doing vehicle inspection.

They are sly and very good salesmen, so be careful. Long story short, I have a cheap replacement radio that doesnt have fm or am, need a new suspension, have terrible window strips, a back windshield wiper that doesnt work, half of the ac vents are broken, clip on mirrors, and the best part is that i still havent gotten my license plate, its been over a month. I asked for a modest discount and they said i was being steep and i had failed to mention half of the things i know are wrong with it at current-day. Also, they only gave me one key. Thanks for the 400 discount petrol autos, but i have put at least 1000 dollars into bringing this car back up the proper driving standards. Already need to take it back to dealer to service. Never going back. I believe that they can give you good cars, but you better know what to look out for.
