The staff and doctor at Family Eyecare immediately made me feel welcomed and put me at ease. They even set up all my needed appointments at a specialist. I definitely recommend Family Eyecare.

They are more interested in billing your insurance just because they can than actually providing you with what you need. Also they dont even give you the correct prescription when you do get your glasses. I will never ever return as a customer again.

I am new to the area from Arizona, and a new friend highly recommend this Doctor because she is thorough when it comes to eye exams. I was very impressed and could not thank my friend enough for recommending this Doctor. I have cataracts so I was looking for a Doctor who could make sure I had the right prescription for not only my eye sight but also keep a watch on my cataracts.The Technician and office staff were very helpful and friendly. I felt very much at home here.The Doctor was very patient and answered all my questions clearly so I understood what she was saying about my eyes and what her plan was to not only help with my corrected vision but also help keep my cataracts from growing too fast. The Doctor gave me my options on my eye glass lenses that worked best for me for right now, she did not try to persuade me in any direction and I appreciated that because coming from a big city where everything is about the business and money coming in, it was nice to move to a smaller community and have an eye doctor not tell me I need this type lens and these frames like the Doctor I went to Arizona did. I chose the frames I wanted and the lenses and I did choose a transition lens and the staff was very helpful in helping me find the right frames to fit my face. Again I want to thank my dear friend for recommending Family Eye Care and in turn I would encourage anyone who is looking to switch up doctors or if your new to Saco like I am to go to Family eye Care here in Saco ME. I had been a patient of Family Eye Care under the previous owners since the age of 6 when I first was told I needed glasses. I have been disappointed in the patient experience since the practice was purchased by the current owner. This is not a result of COVID. There are no scheduling reminders for appointments, the hours are extremely limited to even get an appointment and no one ever answer the phone to help answer your questions. My husband has continued to go there and his most recent experience purchasing glasses was also challenging and disappointing. He ended up having another business help correct the fit of his glasses when we were told they had done everything they could at this office.

I appreciated the friendly and professional staff, prompt and caring service, and patience with me and my sensitive eyes! Thank you!

Doctor and exam: 5 stars for sure. Buying glasses there seems to be more expensive than elsewhere. Took my prescription and will shop around. Update: filled at Sams for less than half what Family Eye Care quoted.

Family Eye Care in Saco is a very clean, friendly and very accommodating establishment. We have been coming to this place for years, going back to when it was still Dr. Connels office. Dr. Kandra and her staff really goes all out for their customers. They make sure that you are satisfied when you leave. Btw...They also have a great selection of frames to choose from. Unfortunately, due to COVID, they only take appointments and NO walk-ins. Im sure this will change once the pandemic is over. I highly recommend this place for anyone in need of new pair of Eyewear.

I had an eye emergency and no insurance. Because of covid I was worried I wouldnt get any help. Family eye care got me in within an hour of calling they worked wonders for me when I was in excruciating pain. I got a prescription that day and the price was very affordable

Awesome friendly staff Great service

I had been going to this place for almost 15 years and 2 sets of owners until recently. I was a few minutes late for an appointment, I called twice to inform them of this but kept getting automated answering servicesaying the secretary was busy. When I arrived the receptionist was incredibly condescending and rude telling me if I was 15 minutes late there would be a fee and Id have to reschedule despite literally nobody in the office besides myself. This is not how you do business, its not how you treat people especially long time patients. In all honesty I shouldve left sooner because since Dr. Kandra took over from the previous owners quality of care has diminished exponentially as has service. This used to be as great place with friendly staff and excellent care.

They accommodated my schedule changes twice. The staffs were good and professional. Dr. Kandra was is attentive and clear.
