I brought my car in for an inspection and a recall. The work was done quickly and they spoke with me about a couple other things in detail. I also asked about what I thought were a couple scratches on my car. They removed the marks for me and took time to answer all my questions. I felt really comfortable while there and really appreciated the gentleman who took so much time to help me!

Savannah was so warm and helpful through the whole process - it was a first new car purchase for both my husband and I, and with a baby on the way and shortages and time crunches, we were nervous but Savannah made it happen and sooner than we expected! She was responsive and not pushy at all - something we both valued tremendously. We’re so glad we met her and would recommend her without hesitation!

In the early 60’s my wife and I purchased our first new car. Back then automobile salesmen were not well liked because with a few exceptions they didn’t really listen to what the customer was saying, what the customer could afford but rather whether or not they would meet they’re monthly quota. They were aggressive, pushy and sometimes just rude.Well what a difference 60 years make! We just had the most pleasurable experience acquiring a new car from Prime Volkswagon in Saco. We were treated by the salesman, sales manager and finance manager as if we were the first customers entering a new dealership. Michael, the salesman listened attentively to what our needs were, what we could afford and made suggestions which were important and to our benefit. Prime VW has friendly staff who provide excellent service. Repairs are prompt, and they are always considerate of my schedule. They also send updates via text and request approval before any serious work. Anytime I have used the shuttle the driver arrives exactly when expected and is very pleasant. I have not had a bad experience in 3 years of getting my car serviced here.

I cannot recommend Prime VW enough. When I called in an absolute bind, Tyler was kind, understanding, honest, and fair. They did an amazing job with my car and even went above and beyond to reassure me and give me peace of mind before I took on a big road trip. They also were transparent with the whole process and made sure all my questions were answered and provided me very fair pricing. The whole service department was wonderful, and Tyler was particularly awesome. Was able to go through the timeline of when things would be ordered, in and when we could get the vehicle back in to have the work done. Got a loaner for convenience which was just phenomenal. Bought our Alltrack at another dealer, but needed emergency service on the car and couldn’t get an appointment. Prime was able to get us in a week earlier, which was a huge relief. Amazing customer service—shout out to Tyler, who explained what needed to be done (multiple times) so I was totally comfortable with what amounted to a fairly large investment. That means a lot to me, as a car novice. Prime got our car (“Elle”) back on the road as quickly as possible, and I will be taking it there for all our maintenance from now on. Highest recommendation.

I called Prime VW when I had an alert on my dash. Tyler told me to come in so they could check the codes. I headed over after my appointment and was greeted when I walked through the door and they had my information all right there. They took my car in and checked it out and found the problem but while I was there they also fixed my clock, and tire alert and they made time to give me a sticker which I was scheduled to have done next week. I recently got the 93 octane APR tune on my B9 Audi A4 here and got an alignment after purchasing and installing a new tire/wheel package from TireRack. The experience with the team was great and the car is so much more alive post tune. I also needed brakes and their quote was about 60% of the price at an Audi dealer. There wasn’t any pressure when I declined either. I have some upgraded rotors and pads at home, and I’ll be back to Prime VW soon for my re-inspection. German car dealer quality work with a car enthusiast’s outlook on performance is a killer combination.On the sales side, I have test driven 3 or 4 cars here over the years looking for corporate fleet vehicles and personal cars alike. We bought my wife’s vehicle new during the pandemic and had a safe and reasonably quick purchasing experience as well.

Prime VW has been awesome all around. Service is quick and easy. Have used them for years and just bought my 3rd car from there. After getting a service done there my car was returned cleaner than how I brought it in. A+ every time.

And at a fair price. It’s worth noting that I have an Audi, not a VW and although there are similarities they are still different vehicles and I trust this service department to always get it right.

Polite employees at the service desk, but that is about all Prime Volkswagen of Saco Maine is good for. Where do I start?Our Volkswagen Tiguan was new off the lot in 2020. Within 6 months of owning the vehicle the oil change noticed appeared on the informational screen with less than 5k miles, so naturally the vehicle was brought to Prime Volkswagen in Saco, HUGE MISTAKE! They said because the vehicle calls for an oil change at 10,000 miles or 1-year and since neither of those had been reached that they would reset the CPU telling the computer that it had received an oil change without actually changing the oil.Fast forward almost a year and the vehicles informational screen says that it is due for an oil change within the next 400 miles. Immediately Prime Volkswagen of Saco was called to schedule an appointment and they asked how many miles were on the vehicle, which was now over 14,000 miles, and the receptionist says “woah, typically they are supposed to have the oil changed every 10,000 miles and I am seeing here you vehicle has not had an oil change yet”.Yes, she is correct! They are supposed to have the oil changed every 10,000 miles or every year, but Prime Volkswagen of Saco was too cheap to change the oil when we brought the vehicle in for service and decided resetting the CPU showing the oil had been changed was the best option while not actually changing the oil, unimpressed. This then caused the vehicle to run over 14,000 miles before calling for the maiden oil change, a great way to break in the engine... literally!Prime Volkswagen of Saco is blaming their customer for not having changed the oil at 10,000 (even though the computer was reset at 5,000 miles telling the CPU that the oil was actually changed and didn’t need another change until 15k) miles and refuses to extend any warranty towards the engine if damage has been caused to the engine even though the vehicle was brought to Prime Volkswagen of Saco Maine at 5k miles previously, where the employees reset the computer instead of actually changing the oil. Very disappointed.If you are looking for the stereotypical used car dealership treatment, Prime Volkswagen of Saco Maine is the place for you. They will be friendly to your face and get you out the door thinking you’ve been treated right, until they cause potential terminal damage to your vehicles engine while blaming the customer for their negligence.Buyer beware before dealing with Prime Volkswagen of Saco Maine.

Joe, our salesman, was very patient with us and did not pressure us into buying a vehicle. The vehicle we wanted was not available on the lot, so the dealership had to do a swap. When the vehicle arrived there were a couple minor issues that needed to get fixed. We appreciated Joes effort to find us our car and also to keep us informed. The dealership was great to work with throughout this process.

Brought my 2015 Tiguan in for service and Tyler and the rest of the service department were great. They diagnosed the issue within 2 hours of having the car and completed the fixes a day earlier than expected. I would highly recommend Prime Volkswagen for service, diagnostics and repair.

I’ve been working with prime Volkswagen for about a year now on a vehicle that I bought at a different dealership in New Jersey. I brought them some complex issues as well as some basic issues and they’ve always seem to manage to work through it and give me the results that I needed. One issue took 15 weeks, at the start of Covid, so it was tricky getting parts that we needed. They were incredibly accommodating and called in the big guns snd eventually got it resolved to my satisfaction! I highly recommend them.

I would recommend shopping ANYWHERE BUT HERE. I called to reserve a specific car after reviewing their website; when my appointment came, the car I reserved was filthy inside and out (including having gum stuck in the cup holder!). The salesperson I was paired with, Joe, was completely lackluster and seemed as though selling a car was last on their priority list. They had the vehicle listed at a decent price, but after it’s rocky drive, squeaks, and dirty interior/exterior there wasn’t even wiggle room in the price. I did not purchase from this dealership, and I wouldn’t even entertain the thought of going to any other Prime to look at other cars. This experience really sealed the deal for me on shopping local and not going to a big name dealership. Save yourself the hassle and shop somewhere else!

My car had developed an extreme oil link. When the dash warning light appeared I took it immediately to the Prime VW dealership. In the absence of my regular service underwriter, Tyler assisted me and saw that my EOS received prompt servicing. Upon return of the EOS Tyler strongly recommended a one week follow up to verify that the issue was resolved. Excellent customer service as always.

Decent deal on the car, but they arent really true to their words. Within a week of purchasing a used car, I noticed the front rotors were in pretty bad shape. Reached out to see if there was anything they could do, they said it was not a state inspection item, so they would do nothing. Funny I had the rules right in front of me, that isnt true. I had the salesman & the gentleman who had finished up the financing tell me dont worry, if anything happens within the next month or two, within reason, we will work something out. We want you to come back. Not happening.Follow up a few months later; did service ever look at the car? If you’re looking at a used car from here, have an independent mechanic look at it first for sure. If not, steer clear.

Relatively quick check up for a dealership on a week day night, only took about an hour. $65 later and I have a full report on what needs to be done to my car. They were honest about the urgency of items (ie nothing was urgent!) and didnt pressure me into scheduling any repairs. Check in and out was easy and pleasant.
