A liquor store with a really solid selection especially, I am always surprised by the Scotch and Irish Whiskey offerings Maddens has that many stores dont carry (Port Charlotte 10 for example). The owner is a very nice personable guy as well, would definitely recommend coming here if you live locally and are looking for a solid selection.

Naturally, I decided to check this place out because of the name. I thought at the very least, I’d snap a few pictures to have as the basis of a corny joke later on. But ... everything is read and heard is true. Madden Beverage has quite the craft beer collection, and the available wines were curated well. It is a small store. There is no questioning that, but what does it matter given the selection they offer their customers?Answer: It doesn’t matter. At all.If it’s all about size with this packy, then I’ll put it to you like this: pound for pound, it’s near the top of the list for available selection and for the variety.

I love this store. Im glad I live so close. They always have what you need, when you need it, and their inventory is always expanding so you may just end up buying something new and exciting whenever you go!

Great selection and good prices. Looked like a hole in wall but the staff was very knowledgeable about the whiskey and rum I was looking for. Definitely worth a visit.

Good place to return your recyclables and then cash them in for a scratch ticket or three. About as clean as a bottle redemption place. Friendly staff and a decent selection of beverages

Where to go to get great beer and wine. The owners know their business AND what sells here. Special orders very welcome. They have wine and beer tasting events to educate public and expand their business. Great people who know how to grow their business even when sales in their industry isnt. Gotta love their Yankee ingenuity.

Every town should have a well-stocked, no-nonsense liquor store like Maddens. The craft beer, cider and bourbon selections are especially good given the size of this place, with growing allocations of even some hard-to-find bottles.

I wish the store was just a little bit bigger. They carry a large selection of beer. They have a smaller selection of wine and liquor. It would be my one stop alcohol stop if only they were a bit larger. I will occasionally stop there for their beer selection (carft, foreign, create your own 6-pack).
